  1. So I have a bit of a weird issue, and it's one that only seems to manifest whenever I am browsing the web. For reference for display purposes I am using an AW3423DWF and a RTX 4080. The issue itself, as mentioned, only seems to occur (or at the very least this is the only time I really notice it) when browsing the Web on my Desktop. The flickering itself can be described as a slightly darker contrast/brightness to my display that occupies maybe the top quarter of my screen. It's also very inconsistent. Sometimes it'll go by a long time without anything happening, but it can also occur multiple times in the same few minutes. Troubleshooting steps I've so far taken is buying a new DisplayPort Cable. I also took recommendations to have the Monitor on it's own Power Lead and not sharing with any other appliances. I've also tried swapping from Edge to OperaGX as my browser in case it was a browser issue. To my knowledge, this flickering does not seem to occur at all when I am running games and other full screen applications. It only seems to be when just browsing the web and mostly when I'm changing tabs or something similar. It's a weird situation that I'm not wholly sure what to make of. I'd love some input if anything has any knowledge on this or even personal experience. I'm a little baffled as to what exactly might be going on.
  2. I've been running 1080p on a Dual Monitor setup via a GTX 1070 Founders Ed, however one my monitors has started to give up the ghost and I wish to repurpose the second for use in another room in my flat, and I am looking to purchase a replacement before it goes kaput completely. But I'm at a impasse on what I should be buying or looking for ideally. I've been fine on 1080p, but I'm curious if 1440p is something I should be looking into. Are Dual Monitor setups even still relevant in the age of Ultra-Wide and whatnot? I've been hearing about IPS but not sure what that is or if it's even relevant to me and my machine. Ideally i'd like to try and spend no more than £500 for the two, but if I can go cheaper without compromising anything important, then fantastic.
  3. I had not noticed this prior, but it seems like the Temp #6 is recording an unusually high reading compared to everything else on the computer. Is there anything that can explain this anomaly? The computer seems to run and operate perfectly fine on the surface, nor has anything occurred recently that'd be cause for alarm.
  4. Hello, I am currently using a Dual Monitor setup that is... shall we say more than a little dated. But it has got me through up until now, when I looked into the option of an Ultrawide Monitor setup, in a bid to save a bit of Desk Space (the current setup takes in excess of 106" right now). But considering I've not bought a new Monitor since 2013 or so, I have a few questions that I wouldn't mind getting answered. Straight or Curved? What are the benefits of shooting for one over the other? Resolution. I was thinking of 1440p, but is that expecting too much or end up being too expensive? Is 1080p a viable option? Ease of use when multitasking. How does multitasking on an Ultrawide generally work? Are there settings to emulate a double monitor setup or is a case of arranging windows and programs manually in such a way to get the desired effect? Should I buy for my current GPU or buy something that's futureproof? I currently have a GTX 1070 Founders Edition inside my PC, but I'm sure I will upgrade later down the line if something particularly substantial turns up. G-SYNC? Worth it? Not really messed around with it too much. Refresh rate: What should I be looking for in terms of refresh rate and delay for gaming? I am very much open to advice and suggestions.. My budget will be somewhere around £500-600 and maybe I could stretch up to 700 in a pinch if it is worth it. Many thanks.
  5. This isn't the first issue I've had with the card, as I've had to deal with video flickering with this card when using it, but this one is almost certainly more bothersome. For some reason or another, whether it's through OBS Studio or ReCentral, when the Video Capture Card is active it causes all video input and output (that is all sound coming through and also when I am talking on the Microphone) to pop and crackle. I've tried some obvious stuff like updating ReCentral and Drivers, increasing Audio Bitrate, and unplugging and replugging in the USB and HDMI Cables. Is there something I am missing? I'm under the impression that the card is just getting old and that it's just giving up the ghost, but any chance to avoid paying £150+ for a new card I will take.
  6. So I just had my computer crash on me. Not a hard crash or force shutdown dealio, but everything just slowed to a crawl and I couldn't close any Windows, Task Manager would not response, and a Restart/Shut Down via Windows did not work either. In the end, I had to force a Shut Down physically, and upon rebooted, was greeted with an "Overclock Failed" message. I have not overclocked my machine, but regardless, I went into the BIOS and checked to make sure nothing was amiss. After establishing that everything was how I left it, I went to Exit and Restart and... I got Error Code 95 (ASUS Rampage V Extreme). I turned it off. Waited 10 seconds. Then turned it back on and... same again. This time I left it for 10 minutes and came back, and I got the overclock failed message again. This time around I tried a small overclock from 3.3ghz to 3.4ghz, that didn't work, and so the next time around I set it back to 3.3ghz and it then booted back into Windows with apparently no harm or fowl. But the whole debacle has me a little worried. Is there anything wrong with my machine, or was this just a case of a program just did not play ball and decided to have a monumental wobbly?
  7. Sounds like a solid idea. What model of AT2020 should I go for. I hear avoiding the most expensive model is a good call since it doesn't come with the listen-in port or something like that?
  8. So I'm looking to finally upgrade from my standalone Samson C01U that I've been using the past several years but I'm a little lost on what I should be looking for when it comes to stepping up my Voice Audio. I'm looking for any tips and suggestions from those with experience or just a good ear for these sorta thing.
  9. This is taken from a post I made a couple weeks ago on the subject of my CPU Cooler seemingly going kaput: --- It would appear I might have spoken too soon about this problem being solved. The paste this time around only seemed to serve as a very temporary reprieve from high temperatures. After only five days or so, the temperatures whilst trying to render have shot back up to the 100's. And temperatures when I have nothing going on aren't much better than they were before. So it looks as if I am back to square one again. What would this indicate as the problem being? At this point I've taken the unit off, reapplied paste, and back on again twice and it only seemed to make a difference for all of one or two days before going back to the alarmingly high idle temps I've been experiencing for the past few weeks. Is there anything more I can do to help identify the problem? --- After trying out new thermal compound and taking the unit out and back in again, my temperatures went from normal (30-35 on Idle)... to somewhat normal (40-45 Idle) ... to right back where it was previously (60-65 Idle). This is making no damn sense to me and I'm at my wits end trying to figure it out. Why would it be fine one day, and then not fine only a couple days later?

  11. Thanks for the response. The Air Bubble might actually explain it, since when I noticed that the Pump itself might be okay (when I got the noticeable different this time around), I took the whole thing out and put it back in again then reapplied the Thermal Paste. So if there was a bubble, that would've done the trick in dislodging it. I'm keeping an eye on it now, and just had an update of Corsair LINK which seems to have given me a bunch more variables to look at. Quick question as to what the Motherboard temps actually mean here, since there's a bunch of new ones I don't recognise immediately. Are those temps all green? I notice there's one sitting in the 100s but I am unsure if that is meant to be the case of not, as I am unsure what it is monitoring there.
  12. After much tinkering and reapplying thermal paste for the second time, I think I might have solved the problem. Which has... actually left me more confused than ever, because now I'm paranoid I have no feeling in my hands or my H110i is just that vibration-resistant. Pretty much went ahead and tinkered with the Pump RPM some more, and this time, it actually caused some noticable drops. After that, I immediately ripped the Cooler out, checked through all the parts and applyed some of the NH-14 stuff that came recommended (maybe the stuff I got just wasn't good or I applied it wrong the first time), and now I'm getting temps like this whilst rendering a 1080p 60fps video at 26k bitrate. Couple questions though, does anyone know if there is any reason not to have the pump on "Performance" mode all the time? Also, would it be worth ditching the fans that come with the Cooler to keep things even frostier or is the difference not high enough to warrant it?
  13. Just getting a hold of someone would be a great step up from the deafening silence I've been getting so far on the matter. Though to be on the safe side, I have also emailed the store I got the part from to see if there is anything that can be done also.
  14. I thought it weird too, but I never really questioned it, I merely saw it as a quiet and performance mode rather than looking at the revs and whatnot. But either way, I hope this man can help, because I might just have to cut my losses if I can't get this thing returned and that's going to be me £100 out of pocket.
