  1. #1 I needed to reapply thermal paste as when I did it a couple of months ago I was a bit overzealous. Turned machine on after and everything was fine, however, I noticed my CPU fans weren't able to be controlled by CUE software, realised I'd forgot to plug back in the micro-usb to the heat sink. When I did that and turned everything back on I now get no output to my screens. I've tried holding the power down for 30 seconds, unplugged everything but display port/HDMI, removed micro-usb, removed CMOS battery, but no avail. Thanks for any advise. Using one stick of RAM works, any idea why? 3 of the 4 sticks are working. 2. Posted mine at the same time and though it was a bug with my post showing a different picture
  3. Looks good, but if your main purpose is gaming then the CPU is a bit overkill unless you've got the money to spend
  4. Define large sized photos and are you dragging them in or uploading through the file browser
  5. After having to reset my CMOS(nothing to do with overclocking), my 4.5GHZ overclock on the i7-5820k has reset to default at 3.3GHZ. I was wondering if I should reapply the overclock, which come with obvious thermal impact, however, with what I use it this PC for I'm not sure if it's worth it; my main use is gaming (a few are CPU intensive) and occasional streaming, with work as well.
  6. Would i put the key, inside the application folder in the registery? Think I've found it.
  7. I have over 70 games installed on the other drives plus around 50 or so applications, as although I can see this working it would take a lot of time so is there any other way?
  8. After having to install windows from fresh again, on my drive, it won't detect previous applications installed on my other drives (which are fine and haven't been reset and have most of my applications on). If I search for them they won't appear as well as not appearing of on application lists. Is there away to get windows to detect these programmes. Thanks in advance
  9. For context: I now have an output by chance, just kept on turning it off and on. It now has a green pixels colour. Based on the previous problems would it be the GPU having a tantrum. Thanks for your advice
  10. Making a new post now as it can boot but now has display problem. Thanks for your help
  11. Compressed air, done it multiple times before
  12. No iGPU on this motherboard, everything apart from the CPU, not sure how much thermal paste I have left
  13. Motherboard doesn't have onboard graphics, GPU lights are on and fans are spinning. I've moved to a different PCI slot with no avail
