  1. So in the near future, im planning to upgrade my GPU and go down the eyefinity route of some kind (already done research and felt thats what i wanted next) However, i've seen some really nice monitors on sale: basically, i need to know whether i can run 3 monitors off a single 560ti (one off each DVI and one from the mini-HDMI) (for a limited time period oviously and it wont be for gaming until i get the new card) http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/ENGTX560_Ti_DC2DI1GD5 (this one in particular) Thanks for any help P.S. I was thinking of getting either a R9 280 or an GeForce 770 but havn't decided yet, anyone know if either one of them has any problem with PCI 2.0? i7 2700k Gigabyte DS3H RV03 (and some other components)
  2. I've been using a single monitor setup for about a year now and am ready to upgrade. Simply, would it be worth waiting for the Oculus or diving straight in for a 7970 and going for a triple monitor setup with eyefinity? Obviously I've not had any experience with the Oculus although i have with eyefinity. In terms of games, i usually play a whole variety of games that range from most FPSs like BF3 and CS:GO to games such as awesomenauts and Guild wars. Currently using an i7 2700k which from benchmarks, doesnt seem to present any bottlenecking problems as far as i can see. Any help appreciated ME.. -Also, im currently using a 560ti which i'm not really wanting to upgrade unless going eyefinity - - money no object -
  3. I've been running my machine in my silverstone RV03 for some time now and thinking about modding it but i couldn't bring myself to do it. I've had a couple of cases now that have windowed side-panels but they're acrylic/plexiglass/plasticy stuff Anyone know anywhere that does custom - or precut - glass windows for sidepanels? (I'm well aware that my RV03 with the system it hitting 15Kg at the moment so an extra few Kgs of glass shouldn't matter :P ) thanks :)
  4. So I'm currently using the on board audio on my GA-Z77-DS3H and have had lots of trouble with hissing noises from previous desktop speakers, Now I use the old amp and speakers from a Kenwood R-SE7 http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNTk5/z/X8IAAMXQ01tRNhSS/$T2eC16ZHJG8E9nyfoUByBRNhSR3-zg~~60_35.JPG I've found then when using these it gets rid of the hissing, distortion noise and also gets rid of it when I run my headphones through it instead of straight out the PC I'm not entirely sure where to go from here? I don't know anyone with a sound card or other decent speakers for me to compare sound with so I'm not sure whether new speakers or soundcard would be better? Soundcard or Speakers?
  5. Only one option for me: thick cloth mats. was looking at the SS Qck Mass 6mm as my current (white mousemat) is now yellow and stained with cola
  6. May sound stupid, but remember that guy featured in the live stream making his own?....
  7. I have one of the newer ones from the Raven series (RV03) and would recommend it going from an Rv01, It doesnt have a basement like the 01, but is perfect for those strange people out there who are trying to get away with 7 optical drives and fan controllers.
  8. I havn't braided any of my own cables but issue 114 of CustomPC gives some measurements for cable sizes: 3mm for individual PSU cables, 8mm for Molex and sata power cables 6mm for CPU, SATA data cables and PCI-E power connectors and 12mm for the 24pin plug They give these measurements for use with phobya braids which are expandable so i don't know how you'd go about it with your braiding I hope the sizes are correct, you may want to check with other people though
  9. Same as most people for me, although I had to find something that would set my case apart from most in order to justify spending £100 on my silverstone RV03
  10. Literally what i says i the title. Whenever i close skyrim and return to desktop i seen to be confronted with the loading screen of samsung kies opening I have found no evidence of this happening to anyone else eveeerrrr Quite strange yet funny anyone?
  11. Generally I play games such as Skyrim, Battlefield BC 2 and sometimes CounterStrike. However, when games such as Bioshock Infinite and Assassins Creed 3 came out I spent loads of time on them. Other than that, I play indie games and sometimes ARMA II As for a budget, I live in the UK and will have to apologize if my conversion is terribly inaccurate, but for the card itself I would probably be prepared to spend up to £300 (probably around $400) at most but would prefer to spend around £200-£250 (however i doubt that will happen) (about $300) Looking at my conversions... they really don't seem right.. (here's where I shop for UK prices http://www.novatech.co.uk)
  12. So my current system specs are as follows: Intel 2700k - with corsair H80 Gigabyte Z77-Ds3h Silverstone RV03 i currently have 1 Iiyama prolite E2475HDS and would be looking for another two I would be prepared to go for crossfire, providing that either what i gain or save by going for that option is worth it thanks for the hasty replys
  13. I'm currently running a single 560Ti in my rig at the moment but have been looking to upgrade to a bigger eyefinity setup, and using some AMD cards. At the moment i have no idea as to the performance i can expect from an eyefinity setup or what price range of card i will be looking for Also, does the CPU have a significant impact on the performance from multiple monitors? 2700k? Any suggestions, info or what i performance i can expect would be much appreciated thanks in advance
  14. So when you look at any motherboard or cpu it mentions something about memory type Usually saying somehting like ddr3 1333 / 1600 I understand the memory speeds and things but my question is about compatability For example, would i be able to use 1600mhz memory with my i7 2700k even though the specs say that it only supports memory types 1333 and 10666? My same question would also apply for using overclocked memory Any help, explanatiion or advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance
  15. I have the same problem with my qpad mk-50 but i left it down to the keyboard taking a while to turn on, might have to try that legacy thing though
