I don't know why Canon is blaming the smartphone for their failure. My friend is a huge photo guy and I asked him whats the take on Canon's losing sale. First thing the guy said is they're outdated and will only buy Sony and Fuji. 
 
There you go people, smartphone is taking the low end market but the market that is the bread and butter of this camera industry has left Canon behind.

I don't see the issue here. If the fact that Rockstar could take such a huge sum shows that the country have almost no other developer so kudos to them for being smart. It's not like the other game companies couldn't apply, they just didn't or didn't even know about the program. if anyone is to blame its the government or department in charge of this program.

Any streamer who uses this feature is not very smart tbh. Its more likely to drive away viewers and bar people from seeing their stream that have never seen them before. Nobody is going to subscribe just to see if a streamer is good so basically they are shooting themselves in the foot and ensuring that their viewership never increases. 

Those of us in good neighborhoods got tired of having to go pick it up.

Naah... I tested out the Freesync on one of those 3440x1440p75hz ultrawides by LG which according to nVidia wasn't "G-Sync Certified", compared the experience to my actual G-Sync monitor... it looked/felt the very same if I'm honest... most I have talked with also mention that as long as the FreeSync implementation on the display is any good it already "just works".
 
I really think G-Sync is a dead feature and you're always better off saving those 200 bucks going with the FreeSync variation of the display.

The volume for the modem speaker could be adjusted by either AT command or physical dial on external modems. Most people had the speaker turn off after connection was established. When I was working for a small ISP, the owner liked all the modems on full blast (about 30 modems).  He said it was "The sound of making money. " 

No it does not cost money to upgrade. That is the whole point of Creative Cloud, that you pay a subscription, but you always get the newest version included in your plan.
 
Again, people are jumping to conclusions here. Adobe is just pointing out that, if you use the old version, they are not taking the blame if you get sued by a third party, because their IP is included in the old version and is no longer licensed. In reality, this is extremely unlikely to happen, they are just covering their legal bases.

I can't speak for everyone, but I'm pretty sure that you'd be in the minority on that. The vast majority of people care about the end product above all else. If the working conditions are good and people can feel good about their purchases the all the better, but if people need to choose better products/services or better conditions for the workers, the are going to choose the products. If they didn't then people would have stopped buying Chinese electronics and other goods years/decades ago. 
 
There's nothing inherently meaningful or fulfilling about working in on an assembly line. Even if the workers that get replaced are excellent at their job, chances are they can learn and excel at most other unskilled jobs in the country. There's no reason to artificially hold back innovation and technological progress so that a specific industry can keep employing workers that are by all accounts miserable with their working conditions. 

While it might not be the case here, sometimes people need a push to move on to something new and in this case hopefully better. It's easy to get stuck with what you know because it feels safe.
 
They should, but probably won't, offer job training so they can move employees to better positions.

Personally I never understood keeping jobs alive just for the sake of keeping jobs alive.
If it can be automated, let it be automated. Society will adapt, people will work less hours...

Huh? He is offering a service and wants to be paid for it. Not sure if I'm missing something here. Computer stores also offer services the consumer could do themselves (for e.g. building, bios update), are they scammers too? If any credible company doesn't offer the service, it only makes him even less of a scammer, he'd then just be taking an advantage of a demand he perceived/discovered. It'd be a scam if he just took the money and ran.
 
Are there people offering to do this for free for complete strangers? Would you trust them more? At least with a money trail you have a venue to try and do something if you actually get scammed. 
 
No, I wouldn't use a service like that. No, I wouldn't recommend anyone else used a service like that. But selling off your experience/skills is not a scam, it's just business. ?‍♂️
