  1. Ok, I will get that one. Thanks so much for your help!
  2. Ok, I took a look at the PSU list on the forums, I'll do a little more digging but the Cooler Master MWE Bronze https://pcpartpicker.com/product/nzDJ7P/cooler-master-mwe-600-w-80-bronze-certified-atx-power-supply-mpx-6001-acaab-us looks good, would you recommend that PSU? Or is there a specific psu you would recommend for around the same price.
  3. Thank you for the feedback! One more thing, I might go with a Seasonic EVO power supply, https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Tc3RsY/seasonic-power-supply-ss620gm2. Is this a good PSU?
  4. Hello everyone, I am going to be building a PC soon for moderate gaming (GTA 5, Rocket League, Apex, etc.). I have never built an entire computer by myself before, but I have helped my dad on occasion and he has plenty of experience. I have compiled a part list with pcpartpicker here. This part list is the Modest AMD gaming build guide from the website, with a few changes. First of all, I have switched the case because the cooler master case that they suggest is very hard to come by in my experience. I also do not want any tempered glass because my cable management will probably not be very good on my first build (don't worry I will make sure to have at least acceptable cable management). I have also heard some bad things about cheap motherboards, so I changed the motherboard to a more expensive ASUS model. Unfortunately, it only has 1 pcie slot so I will have to get a USB network adapter, but I only get 3 mb/s at my house so speed isn't that important to me, just reliability. I have heard good things about the quality of ASUS boards, but feel free to suggest other ones as well. Aside from that, the only thing is that the build guide suggested a GTX 1660 Ti and I was originally going to go with an RX-580, so I am curious about this change, but I trust their judgement here. Lastly, I don't want to go over 1k for this build including all of the peripherals I have in the list. Thank you so much for your help!
  5. Hello everyone, Recently I have been plagued by an issue that first arose when my laptop, an Acer Aspire E-15 froze up. No worries, I know this happens now and again. So, I held the power button down for ten seconds, and the computer shut off. I immediately restarted it, and was greeted with the normal start screen, but an odd message on top of the loading animation. It said "Scanning and repairing drive C:," or something like that as I recall. So, I waited for about 30-45 minutes, and then was greeted with the login screen. I logged in (the process was quite slow, slower than usual), and steam and discord launched, both with no problems, but, again, slower than normal. I go to launch chrome, and the new tab screen had just popped up when BAM. Everything freezes. Now, this was different from the first time in that I still had control over my mouse, but everything simply stopped responding. The "This program is not responding" dialogue popped up, but it was no use, as that window simply froze too. The start menu wasn't responding either. CTRL+ALT+DEL didn't work, pressing the power button didn't work, and no command, intense mouse jiggling, or rapid-fire clicking did it either. HOWEVER, the machine eventually did get it's act together. Windows explorer, chrome, and almost every single process on the process list simply ended, leaving me to stare at my desktop in horror and disgust. The programs did restart, and after that they worked fine. For about five minutes. When I restarted my computer after the fifth freeze-up, the glitch seemed to repair itself, but it happens occasionally to this day. I would like some advice on how to fix this, and perhaps some info regarding what caused it. Here are some other things to know: Windows 10 is installed, and activated. The original freeze-up happened while I was launching TF2 The glitch seems to happen more often when I launch chrome. After the first program stops responding, you have about a 2 second window to bring up the start menu and restart the machine before the taskbar crashes. Thanks so much for your help, \Will
  6. I have recently been experiencing a problem with my Nvidia Shield K1 tablet. When connected to wifi it will heat up, drain battery, and never go below 50% CPU usage, and average about 90%. However, when it is disconnected from WiFi, it will cool off and the CPU usage will go down. This has never happened before, and it is really starting to get frustrating. The tablet is not rooted, and running Android 7.0. Any ideas?
  7. I tried all of those steps. It doesn't work.
  8. Hello, I am getting a weird error code when I try to install an app on the google play store. The app downloads OK but when it tries to install I get an error code -506. I searched frantically online but I could not find a solution. I have plenty of storage space. I just cleared the play store's cache and I am waiting for it to download now. In the meantime, please post your fixes. My device is not rooted. WeeWill
  9. As far as production goes, yes, your right. But at the same time, electric cars more than make up for initial production pollution by being electric, even including recharging. And what's more, if the power grids charging these cars become greener, so will the cars. (Source: MIT Technology Review)
  10. Hey everyone! I love electric things. Particularly cars. But also motorcycles and buses. And I'm a TESLA fanboy. My dream car is the Tesla Model S P100D. ( 0-60 in 2.8 seconds BEOCH) I'm such a big fan of electric cars because they are clean and cost less to operate. And also they look so damn good. I don't know if I really fit in in a car club, with my preference of cars, but I think electric cars are the future of sustainable transportation.
