  1. yeah okay, I have this ram already and would rather not buy a whole new kit
  2. okay so basically it will work, but it may require some tweaking to get it running at the proper frequency?
  3. Okay so I want to upgrade from my old intel based PC to a Ryzen platform. I will sell my old cpu and motherboard, however I want to keep my RAM for the new build. I have looked at quite a few different Ryzen motherboards and none of them seem to support my model of RAM in the QVL list. I have a 16gb (2x8) kit of Geil ddr4 super luce C16 rated at 2400 Mhz, the model number: GLW416GB2400C16DC Is this ram likely to work on Ryzen motherboards that don't contain it in the QVL list? If so at what speeds? and should I try get a mobo that officially supports it? (looked for a while and still haven't found it on any mobo qvl lists)
  4. One of them had a laptop that I am certain was not IPS
  5. My Acer KA220QH monitor seems to have colour and contrast issue/limitations. After seeing some of my friends play games such as BF4/3 on the exact same graphic setting as do, I noticed that there game looked so much more vibrant and clear (all 1080p 60hz). Everything appeared much nicer in general and thing were easier to see (in Game), its hard to explain, but my monitor seems to have a slight white haziness to the colours compared to my friends monitors (one of them even had a cheap laptop at 720p that had better colours). My monitor is connected through DVI-D single link, I have recently upgraded from 750ti to a 1070 and the issue still persists. I have tried changing saturation and contrast values in the nvidia control panel but it doesnt make it look any better. I recorded a clip using shadowplay and gave it to my friend to watch through his PC and display. Sure enough everything looked nice on his display. Is my monitor just bad? or is the some way to fix/improve my monitors display.
  6. ah okay. How would this one fair: MSI H110M PRO-VD Plus LGA1151 DDR4 mATX Motherboard
  7. yeah I considered those, they are just out of stock in my local stores. Better? can you specify how?
  8. How do the B150 compare for gaming? would it be worth paying more?
  9. Im not asking for its value, I'm asking if it will be fine for what I need
  10. I am building a new budget skylake gaming PC with an i5 6500, 16gb ddr4 and gpu which is undecided. Is this mobo okay for gaming and a possible slight overclock on whatever gpu I get: Gigabyte H110M S2PV LGA1151 DDR4 mATX Motherboard I do not need quad channel ram, m.2, sli or crossfire, overlcoking cpu, or crazy amounts of USB ports so I figured this mobo would be okay, and its cheap. what do you guys think? will this be fine for gaming? $99.00 Buy Now In Stock Add to Wishlist SMS Email
  11. Thanks for the advice mate, I think I will go with a 1070 after all as it will mean i can go longer before upgrading. How would a 1070 compare to a 980ti for 1080p gaming?
  12. True, however raw performance doesnt count for much if my cpu bottlenecked it in games
  13. yeah okay, I dont mind turning settings down a bit to maintain 144. I am going for a future proof rig so I wont have to upgrade for a while
