In late July I bought a radeon hd 7970 for ~ 320 USD. Up until recently, this was the norm for this card with sales going on in one place or another. Recently however, the price has rocketed up to 500USD. The same goes for the R9 280x, marketed for release at a listing around 300USD. It has since skyrocketed ~100USD. Are both due to companies taking advantage of bitcoin mining or something? Can someone please provide an explanation, and your thoughts on whether or not they'll return to their standard prices eventually. Thank you kindly - BuhQuick
