You can get R9 290s with aftermarket coolers for $250 each, that is cheaper than the 780 after tax. Also the optimizer thing is just for custom profiles, you can download those for any graphics card, it does not matter.

If you did get crossfire 290s. If you dont even record then what is the point in paying for it? No idea what you mean by game optimizer. 290s and run 4K with good FPS, a 780 cannot run 4K smoothly for the same price. Fanboying is not the best way to order parts..

AMD has Adaptive sync (freesync) which is better than G-Sync and free. Shadowplay is still very buggy and dxtory is so much easier to use. You probaly would not even notice a fps drop with crossfire 290s even running up to 1440p. How often are you going to be recording anyways? Also AMD is red so it would make more sense for a red theme

Why not l;ook into gettign an AMD card while they are dirt cheap right now? Are you going to be using CUDA? You can get crossfire 290s for near the price for that 780.

You will never be on top of technoligy. If the 780 Ti does what you need, get it. If you wanna save a few bucks, wait a week after the 8xx series come out. They will probaly come out at the end of Q1.

Unfortunately it is 46% for Total war Rome 2. I got excited and thought I could play BF4 in 1400p with my 770 with the 46% increase... I cant imagine for great it will be when it is out of BETA though.
