  1. Ok, I don't mind a fresh install as long as my windows license still works.
  2. Hello, I can gladly list out the before and after parts of my build if you think that will help but I am just wondering if there is any preparation I need to do within windows 10 before powering my PC off and swapping out the MB, RAM, and CPU. Will windows just recognize this change automatically? I know it's possible but just don't want to forgot some prep work in windows if need be. Failed to find a good YouTube video on this so feel free to link one if you know of one.
  3. It did not fix my issue . I appreciate it though. I did so more research about nvidia's control panel and it turns out that mine isn't the only one that doesn't save settings so I might just contact nvidia.
  4. Turns out I already have the latest version of GFE
  5. I did express installation every time. I also have not updated the GFE but I will give it a try.
  6. The exact issue is hard to explain but what it comes down to is that when I boot up my computer the default resolution on my left monitor is 1920 x 1080 (Ultra HD) and this does not fit my monitor and looks grainy and terrible. The simple fix is to set it to 1920 x 1080 (PC) (native). This fixes it perfectly however every time I boot up my computer after a shutdown it goes back to the Ultra HD setting. This problem started occurring a few weeks ago during installation of a new graphics driver. Things I have tried on my own: -install previous version of graphics driver -install brand new version of graphics driver that came out after the issue happened (few days ago) -start NVIDIA Control Panel as administrator in hopes it saves my setting I have a EVGA GeForce GTX 770 graphics card. Thank you for any help you may have.
  7. My motherboard is the ASUS M5A99X Evo R2.0 and went to get the drivers after a fresh install of windows 10 64 bit but usually chipsets should be the first driver and it's not there? Is that a big deal or? asus.com/us/Motherboards/M5A99X_EVO_R20/HelpDesk_Download
  8. I actually got home today and booted it up, and thankfully got a fresh new windows. All is good so far, thanks guys. I did nothing since last night but it decided to work today.

  10. I have tried a 1000 more things and even resulted to a fresh wipe but when I got the media creation tool on a USB drive and tried to custom install it gave me an error about my drive needing recovery. I'm completely stuck and don't know where to go from here. Is my ssd defective?
  11. Ive gotten it to the point where the ssd now longer infinitely loads on a black screen, it now does what it used to and gets to the screen right before the welcome screen and spasms out.
  12. Can I just reset my bios in the bios? Or is a cmos necessary?
  13. I did not format it. I went straight to acronis and followed their steps.
