  1. Nothing on ebay, gumpree on something similar locally ? You can look for used Ibanez, Yamaha Pacifica PAC112V, Epiphone Or New Harley Benton should be good for first guitar. Go for fixed bridge(straight through would be the best) Also keep in mind that you need something to plig in You can use amp like combo or You can use something like app with guitar interface. I'm recently testing Archetype: Gojira and sounds fenomenal with ESP LTD h-330nt with Seymor Duncan Blackout on Bridge
  2. Currently Gen 7 and lower is starting to get old. Power draw will be noticable. Gen8 would be better but still loud especially with non HPE cards.
  3. Personally i have HPE DL380e Gen8 at home but due to its noise it's unusable when you put anything other than HPE branded cards. In Dell you can disable card checking - i did this in Dell R730XD at work to put Intel 10gb SFP+ NIC Finally i've end up with 2 custom build servers. One with Supermicro board and 2x 2670V2 and second with single 2650L v3 on second. Custom build will be always more quiet, unless you don't care about it then go for R720. It's good server. You can buy trays on aliexpress cheaper.
  4. You're connnected directly from PC to Router or do you use any wall plugs? check realtek drivers https://www.realtek.com/en/component/zoo/category/network-interface-controllers-10-100-1000m-gigabit-ethernet-pci-express-software If you tried differend card it has to be cable. New driver installation should reset all nic configuration like duplex, auto negociation etc.
  5. Yes for first configuration you need to create account with ubiquiti. But then you can create local account on device itself and turn off remote access. You can access router loccaly without internet just put ip address of router and login - you can use either online credentials or local. I use mine UDM-PRO as a replacement for Opnsense as a VM. I needed something with at least one SFP+ In case of WAN 2.5g it's on their roadmap. If you put SFP+ to RJ45 transciever that supports 2.5g it will connect to 2.5g if boths sides works with that speed. But that require RJ45 In theory you could try set in CLI: Change From: case SPEED_10000: case SPEED_2500: mac_mode_needed = AL_ETH_MAC_MODE_10GbE_Serial; break; Change To: case SPEED_10000: mac_mode_needed = AL_ETH_MAC_MODE_10GbE_Serial; break; case SPEED_2500: mac_mode_needed = AL_ETH_MAC_MODE_SGMII_2_5G; break; Manually assign it in CLI root@Server:/lib# ethtool -s eth9 speed 2500 https://community.ui.com/questions/1-9-is-OUT/3c18191e-381f-4747-a7ca-8215bd98f50f#answer/a9f53bb8-7ac0-417a-bc59-93b20c0ff200
  6. For those drives definately go with Raid-Z3 too risky if parity calculation fail.
  7. New version of FreeNAS has virtualization - bhyve:In the upcoming 10 release, the CLI will offer full support for managingvirtual machines and containers. Until then, the iohyve command isbundled as a stop-gap solution to provide basic VM management support -see https://github.com/pr1ntf/iohyve for more information.
  8. I can add that it worked on the radeon 6850..it doesn't work on my new radeon 29 280x - gpu utilisation barely goes to 20%
  9. Strange...I use Vegas 13 and it works fine. Try delete graphic drivers, restart pc, reinstall them. Verify in the aida64 gpu utilization during encoding.
  10. 450W will be fine I use Bequiet 350W PSU in my server but with 6 drives
  11. Forget about RAID 5. Go with Raid 6 or RAID-Z2 if you'd like to use FreeNAS. In case of 4TB disk risk of array fail when you lose 1 drive is very high. BTW Freenas is great for there kind of storage.
  12. Hm From what i understand you want to use solution like unraid and windows machine that was presented on the LTT YT ? 7GPUs and sth like that ? ESXi can do that and basic version is free. You can create 2 VMs - 1 for freenas, second for windows 7. Then passthrough GPU, USB, etc for win7 and HBA for Freenas. It should work. But it can be problematic. And that server needs to support VT-D
  13. That is just not true. I'll show you in a minute proof - my server is now booting Those are mine 2 nics on main PC. As you can see they aren't teamed/ link aggregated. ! nic has access to the internet, second don't. OK I updated screenshots.
  14. I mentioned SMB Multipatching - SMB3.0 and Linus used that technology. And yes by use of this technology you can achieve 400MB/s - i use 2NIC for that and i can achieve ~200MB/s And Linus didn't use LACP. The only need is for NIC with RSS. Work no problem.
