  1. Movies tend to be much more realistic than games though, not to mention that they are hugely more popular, so in a sense they are glorifying violence to a much larger extent than video games can. Same thing with rap music, think about how many hours each song has been played on spotify alone. It's probably much more than GTA I don't think any of these cause violence, but I don't think it would make much sense to blame video games before movies or music.
  2. I wouldn't really be worried, there have been plenty of joke bills like this and none have actually passed. The whole premise is a joke anyway, if we were to blame violence on some form of media (which is stupid in its own right) video games would be last on my list. Politicians and their social media followings have been responsible for infinitely more violence than any video game.
  3. As @mousesnob mentioned the viper ultimate might still be a good option if you like its shape more, but even grip styles aside, the Viper and the superlight do have different selling points. The Superlight has the best weight, but the Viper has some extra features that are missing on the superlight (the dock, optical switches, rubber sides, rgb or even a dpi button). So the choice comes down to grip styles and what features you value more. I haven't really noticed anything like that on my superlight, but in general, many of the "horror stories" you hear about the buttons becoming loose are hugely overblown, yes, you can slightly move the buttons if you start pushing them from weird angles and such, but in actual use it isn't noticeable in any way.
  4. Only the most recent ones after the shroud version had those switches and I haven't heard of many cases of double clicks. Yeah, but the switches were a big reason why the gpw double clicked since most of the time double clicking could be completely solved by installing Kailh switches.
  5. Logitech mousepads have a coating that wears off after some use which slows them down considerably. They are good, but not the most durable. Not really sure about the Corsair one, but the Fury S Speed is very slow, if you want a speed pad, the regular black version of the Fury S is much faster and isn't coated so you can wash it to "revive" the glide (the speed version is coated, so it will slow down even more over time). I've also heard good things about the MPC450 from endgame gear if you like speed (And it's cordura so it should be very durable).
  6. No, the clicks have been changed from Omron 50Ms to Omron 20Ms and so far the double click issues seem to have been fixed. I haven't heard of anyone having double click issues with the G Pro Superlight. It is worth noting that it does have worse motion delay than both Logitech and Razer. I've been using the Superlight since I got it in December and haven't had any issues with double clicking.

  9. True, but considering light as an electromagnetic wave is probably the simplest way of explaining why it has a constant velocity.

Pizza is just a real time pie chart of how much pizza is left.

Jokes on you. Michael forgot password from that channel.

Also if anything... pizza is more like a pancake and pancake is more like a cake so pizza is therefore closer to a cake than a pie, especially because fruit pizzas exist which are essentially just pancakes that are called pizza.

What games has everyone been playing lately? I'…

Nah, the game is just getting stale. They've barely added anything in months and they've also removed pump shotgun, which was super important to the meta of fortnite. (I know it sounds stupid, but it's removal is actually the main reason why I'm not enjoying the game as much. lol)
  12. Light is an electromagnetic wave, so if you do the math and derive the wave equation you'll see that the speed of light depends on two constants (which only depend on the medium light is travelling in). More specifically, the speed of light is 1/sqrt(μ*ε).
  13. This is far more complicated to explain, but it has to do with Maxwell's equations and experimental data backing up relativity. Velocity is relative, the speed of light isn't. As for why it isn't, the theories say so and the experimental data backs them up.
  14. In the reference frame of the bus (which is moving at 50mph), no, you'd still be running at 10mph. In the reference frame of someone standing still at a bus stop, yes, you'd effectively be running at 60mph. This doesn't even have anything to do with special relativity actually, it's just regular reference frames. If you accounted for relativity, to an observer standing still, you'd be running at ever so slightly less than 60mph. Yes, but if space and time didn't "change", an outside observer would effectively see the light travelling at 2x the speed of light, which is impossible because the speed of light is constant. Think of it this way, velocity is just distance/time, right? For a constant distance, you can decrease the velocity by increasing time and likewise for a constant amount of time, you can decrease the velocity by decreasing the distance. Hence, time dilation and space contraction. I think this is as simple as I could possibly describe it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Fortnite and a bit of CS. Although, fortnite is becoming less and less enjoyable recently.
  16. Just wanted to point out that they aren't really two separate theories. Special relativity is a special case of general relativity where velocity is constant and spacetime is flat. I think this video does a good job of explaining the basic concept: Actually you do experience the effects of relativity in a car or even when you are walking, but because the speed is almost 0 compared to the speed of light, the effects are negligible.
  17. You've been rickrolled before, but have you been rickrolled with RTX on?

    Thoughts?

I think they are a bit confused about their demographic. The kind of people who would be interested in 8kHz are super competitive players who want light mice with comfortable shapes, they don't need 20 different buttons or a gAmeRy design. (120+g with the option to add even more weight is too much even outside of games IMO). Seems like a decent G502 alternative if you don't mind trading the infinite scroll for optical switches and 8kHz though. Also, the LOD thing seems like a completely overengineered solution tbh, as long as it isn't super low or super high, I don't think it really matters at all.

If you want to avoid double clicking, consider Razer (Viper and Deathadder v2 in that price range). They use optical switches instead of mechanical, so no double clicks.
