  1. Have a link to the EK low profile fitting that you used? I cannot find it on their website.
  2. What is this "give away winner" on the Youtube chat? Seems like a scam to me. Telegram meLinus_tech_tips1 15 hours ago You’ve been selected among today’s giveaway winners
  3. Other details What is the challenge for me is, my system needs better cooling you could say. Host system is Arch linux and I run my gaming in a VM. I have 2 video cards, the gaming one of a 3090 Founders and for the host 1060 6gb. There are no water blocks for the 1060 so just water cooling it is not an option. The cards are close enough that the 1060 heats up the back of the 3090 and the memory is even harder to keep cool. To make matters more complex I also need 2 platter drives in the case, they are too big to be cost effective to replace with SSDs. I would like a case I can easily mount the 3090 adding the EK active backplate to it, and expanding the loop to include the processor which is on an AIO. Didn't plan to water cool the video card until I realized how hot it really got. Only cases so far that could work are the Thermatake cube ones, the 900 and maybe the 20HT. I am looking for ideas on other cases that could meet my need. Currently in a Corsair 5000D airflow, and the front mount does not seem like it would give me room with the active backplate. Any help is appreciated.
  4. Have you considered setting up a monitoring server? Free software I love for this is check_MK which I install and use from OMD the Open Monitoring Distro. https://omdistro.org They have ZFS monitoring baked in I believe. And if you need more some easy python scripting could take care of the rest.
  5. Shame you aren't in the states, Apple was nailed by the FTC. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-switch/wp/2018/04/11/those-stickers-warning-that-repairs-will-void-your-warranty-are-nonsense-ftc-says/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.ef14b4904ae1
  6. Is LMG making a machine and if so who are they doing it for? Looking for who I should vote for.
  7. Why bring air in from the outside? More dust, pollen and as mentioned potential humidity. Why not pull from the house or something like that and maybe exhaust the air out?
  8. Wish there was more in depth of the setup and work. My personal rig is Arch Linux. Due to Skylake IOMMU issues, running the VFIO kernel with ACS patch using KVM. I have a Windows VM that I game in on it. Runs the Division, Fallout 4 and others great no issues at near to max settings. Video card is a 970. And for the record, Unraid as Linus said uses KVM. I tend to think of it as a specialized distro that does just about all the work and setup for you. Great for beginners and those who don't want to put the time into getting things working. I was tempted myself to try it out, but in the end like my config better than what I would have got from Unraid. And I am also curious about the HDMI dongle
  9. I have a new build, i7 6700k and put a Lepa 120 AIO on it. It runs cool at idle, but as of today when I finally got my PCI passthrough finished I found that my system was getting very hot. Testing I found that if all cores run at 100% temp will hit 100 fast. Needless to say no more of that until I fix this issue. Running a push/pull on the radiator. Is there anything I should do to test, or should I assume it is either bad, or just poor design. Which leads to what to replace it with?
