The main reason I changed gpus was for ray tracing and my friend offered me $100 and a xbox one x for my 1080, I have also just upgraded to a 1440p 144hz monitor as my old 1080p 144hz dp just broke... should I be good or would it even make a difference if I were to upgrade my cpu, thinking about a 10900k for future proofing

I’ve had my rtx 2070 super rog strix card for about 2 months upgraded from the 1080 strix, I’ve barely seen about a 5 FPS difference in most games, I have an i5 8600k 6core 6 thread overclocked to 5.2ghz, should I be getting more than 110fps in modern warfare 1080p ultra?

I have a Corsair 550W Power supply right now and a I5 8600k at 5.0 GHz stock voltage, I want to get a Gtx 1080 or the next 1180 (or whatever they call it) will 550W be enough, also running rgb lights, ram keyboard and mouse if that makes a difference.

I’m building a gaming pc with the asus z370-h motherboard and I want to know if the i7 8700k is worth the $100 difference between the i5 8600k, all I will be doing is gaming and mabey start to stream, but if I get the i5 I can fit a 1080 if the i7 i could get a 1070ti is the 12 threads worth the upgrade. And what does hyper threading do?

Thank you, I don’t really feel comfortable with over clocking as this is my first build -
