  1. I just want one with a good amp, and decent mic input, budget is 60-100 pounds, although I rather stay at around 60.
  2. Hi guys, I need a soundcard or a external one, as my shitty realtek is just too quite. Atm im using Hyperx clouds with its mic (which can actually sound really good if the soundcard has decent mic input, another reason I want a soundcard). My choices have come down to these two: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009RPQA2G/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=desktop-4&pf_rd_r=0XVM3Z26X0RVMB5P5FGJ&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=577049067&pf_rd_i=desktop http://www.amazon.co.uk/U7-Soundcard-Integrated-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B00CP53ML2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1437610839&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+external+sound+card So my question is, which one to get?
  3. So this is the first time ive had this bsod, loaded up some cs:go, was sitting in a lobby when BSOD. Im going to assume its the ram for now, ive made a memtest usb il be running overnight. But ive needed some ram for a while so I went and ordered 32gb. "Why 32gb" "you'll never use all 32" "32 is such a waste" - Please run water simulations, particle simulations in maya, while running adobe stuff with chrome open. I will eat 32gb no problem, I dont know how I lasted this long on 8gb. The ram in question is corsair vengeance 1600 cl9 8gb (2x4)
  4. Went with the HyperX Cloud 1, found them on sale so it was worth it. Will update how they are vs my tiamats.
  5. Thing is there are reports of it not sound as good as it can on mobo audio (lesser end mobo audio, not stuff like supremeFx), this is coming from Logan from Tek Syndicates review. So I was wondering if that usb dongle would do to at least bring the full sound out. Or will intel HD audio just be fine with the Cloud 1s.
  6. Well keep in mind, want it for clearer sound in CS:GO (and well cs:s and any other competitive fps). The Hyperx where more better suited for that. I can get the Cloud 1 with out that DAC for 55 quid, is the Cloud 2 worth it over the first one? as I would use a spilter on the 2 anyway.
  7. Well my options are Hyperx Cloud 1 (as it has split cables) at 55 quid, Cloud 2 at 75 and ath-m40x at the same price at the Cloud 2. Might get the Cloud 2 then, seems to be lent on in the gaming side of things.
  8. Hmm, I'am also considering the ATH-M40x, around the same price, and I have a snowball so no mic on the m40x is not an issue. (Mic is shit on the cloud 2 though the usb dac).
  9. So currently im using the Razer tiamat 7.1, which im starting to hate. They dont really sound that good. In 7.1 mode, things are quite and you cant hear people in teamspeak that well in game etc. 2.1 is louder but even worse when it comes to sound. Im looking at the hyperx cloud 2, which seems to be the best fit. I will add, that I play csgo alot, and want headphones suited to it. DMG Hell is hard enough without having good sound to hear people ingame and footsteps. So should I go with the hyperx cloud 2? Thanks. edit: Please dont offer anything from Razer, I am done with them.
  10. BT infinity, alto I should be getting 20Mbps/s up.
  11. Generic post which says how great the gtx 900 series is. No but to be honest I've been impressed by the cards so far, good improvement over the 700 series, want to see some overclocks under water on this card.
  12. I need to ask. Have you set these up right. I have these, they sound good for gaming headsets, I did not buy these for music. If you put them on 7.1 and leave windows sound settings how they are, it will sound bad. What you need to do is ether right click on your speakers in the playback devices panel and go to enhancements. Now you want to pick bass management (and loudness eq if its quiet like on board sound). This makes the bass go to the 40mm driver and makes it much, much better. 2.1 mode also works with out the windows enhancements, some things sound better with 2.1 and others with the setup above. Its your choice on what you use. Many dont know how to set these up and thats why you see so many reviews saying its tinny. tl;dr the headphones are great for gaming when set up right. If you want to listen to music, get some decent headphones.
  13. I play a lot of CS:GO and Battlefield 4. I really enjoy the game, but most good players use 144hz monitors. Now I know higher the refresh rate is better, so is it worth me getting the BenQ XL2420Z? http://www.amazon.co.uk/BenQ-XL2420Z-inch-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B00HZF2MPE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398638640&sr=8-1&keywords=benq+xl2420z I really like the look of the monitor and its at a good price. I already have 2 IPS displays but these are not the best for gaming. Thanks, Alfie.
  14. More food for the peasants to use. I can't wait for all the "DirectX 12 makes our xbone much better than your gaming PC" posts everywhere.
