  1. As promised Tristerin here are the results of changing my fans and changing the airflow for the fan configuration on the radiator... The difference is huge! At the same part of the map in RDR2 CPU temps are roughly the same which is awesome as was expecting it to get a bit worse. As for the GPU though temps with the stock fan curve was 64 degrees at full load! Although I found that a custom fan curve wasn't right for me as I found as others I have seen report which is that the top fan in the FE is louder than the bottom fan. So I left the bottom can curve alone and capped the top fan curve at just below the point where it became annoying in afterburner. And it is awesome the system is very quiet at temps on the GPU only increased slightly with fluctuations between 67 and 68 degrees Also on a side note I look looking at people's PCs on their profiles here and I have to ask what is with all the Furys??? - Nothing against you, your choice, or the cards just genuinely curious Anyway, thanks for your help, Max
  2. Also what would you both advise for the fan config on the radiator push or pull?
  3. Thank you both your help. As for the room temperature the house heating is often off or set to around 20 degrees as the house is modern so the heating is usually pretty extra and any way the radiator for this room is turned off. As for the fan config I was looking to change this when my new fans arrive on Friday. And as for running the card hotter honestly I would love to as it seems hell bent on 68C but the temp limit is already 83. And yeah as for the fans not being quiet... tell me about it! I really hope the fan config change works as I really dont want to have to change case as I like this one
  4. Not sure about the room temp although doesn't seem like its that much hotter than any other room in the house considering there is a pc in here. As for the fan config this is the other thing I have been wondering the X72 is in the top intaking air from the top and then the stock fan config for the fans that came with the case one 140mm exhaust at the back and two 140mm intakes at the front. Honestly this is probably an awful config because it was setup to favour the 3950X temps over the 980 Ti that I was hanging onto before this 3090 haha.
  5. Have just tested with the side panel off with temps at 66 degrees and fans at around the 1650 to 1700RPM mark. That seems a little loud still considering the side panel is off
  6. Will do right now and will see what happens
  7. Stock fan curve and upto 73 degrees on the core when playing RDR2 GPU usage is 97-99%
  8. Hi everyone hope you guys can help me out! I was lucky enough to get a 3090 FE but since I have got it the card has been very loud contrary to reviews. I think that this may be an airflow issue so as a precaution I have ordered more fans however even with my current fan setup with all the fans on max rpm the situation only gets a bit better with the fans still hitting 2000RPM! This seems quite the opposite to what others have been reporting and what reviews seem to say TIA Max
  9. As the title says my motherboard will not use my speaker unless I set the use two different audio streams option. I think its because the motherboard seems to think there is headphones connected using the front heaphone port on my case even when there is nothing plugged in. Was wondering if there is a fix for this or anyone has any suggestions.
  10. I would like to recommend LittleBigMouse which is a free piece of software that allows you to align two different resolution monitors in windows. For example in my setup my ultrawide is much higher resolution than my secondary monitor which causes the scaling when rearranging the monitor positions to be wrong in windows settings as shown below. This means that the mouse moves and down when moving between the monitors and if you try and cross the mouse at the top or bottom of the screens you may get an 'invisible wall' that stops the mouse from moving. This is especially annoying when you have two monitors that are almost identical in height. All that I had to do in my case was download LittleBigMouse from here on GitHub and run it and tick the enable box and run at startup and press enable then close it and forget about it in the system tray. As a bonus it is very light on resources only using around 150MB of RAM and usually 0 to 1% CPU usage in task manager when in the background. 11. I was being stupid you can use the checkbox at the bottom of the gsync page to enable/disable gsync for one of the monitors
  12. Hi evberyone, I have just got a new Asus VG278Q and I have connected it up as a secondary monitor for my ultrawide so that I can game on that. However when trying to enable GSync for the VG278Q it makes me enable gsync for both as the ultrawide has freesync however it is not gsync compatible like the VG278Q and has flickering when using GSync (I had already tried to use GSync on this monitor before) however I was wondering if there is a way to disable GSync for my ultrawide or only apply GSync to one monitor as when I use my ultrawide for some games I dont want the flicker associated with GSync. Many Thanks, Max
  13. Hi LTT Forums, This one has been bugging me for a quite some time. When working on college projects on Google Slides (must be done this way as linked to google classroom) on my main laptop (see signature for specs) I have lots of lag and delay in Chrome however it is fine in Edge? But even worse is it just this laptop as when using any of my other computers including my other lower spec laptop the same document runs fine in Chrome. Have tried deleting cache and cookies (all time) and removing all of my extensions and I tried disabling hardware acceleration but none of this has worked. Before uninstalling Chrome I wanted to see if anyone had come across this and solved it or if anybody had any other solutions. Edit: Have just tried in incognito and this did not help at all. Max
  14. Right as an update for anyone with the same issue who finds this the fix for me was for close msi afterburner and rivatuner then run the installer
