  1. I actually managed to get the Division 2 for $5 on Live so good deals definitely do exist for console.
  2. PS Now has way more games than GP and a super great library. Multiplat, AAA, indie, and exclusives, PS Now has GP beat on selection. A lot of the games are on both services simultaneously and obviously PS4 has way more exclusives so I have to give the edge to PS Now. The downside is that most PS Now games are streaming (unless something has changed since I last checked) so you aren't going to get the full experience in many cases. That said, they do have a number of titles that you can download just like GP. GP Ultimate also has PC games that you can actually download so that is another plus for it. For context, I'm a GP Ultimate member and I still think PS Now has a better selection but I feel like GP is the better service as a whole. I don't think there is a set time. MS exclusives seem to stick around for a long time and studios owned by MS seem to stay indefinitely, at least as far as I've noticed. Obviously, third party games are timed and comes down to whatever agreement was made. I don't think I've ever noticed anything go away after less than a few months though.
  3. Honestly, the way I started using it was just taking an extra machine I had lying around and installing Ubuntu. The basic stuff is pretty easy to grasp. Working through menus and general navigation just requires a little common sense. If you are unsure of anything, there is pretty much always a guide you can follow which is how I learned. I never really learned many commands because typically I would just follow a guide and forget what I learned lol but I still managed to do fine. It's really just like Windows in the respect that as you want to do more than basic tasks, you will naturally have to learn. Just expect to have to use the terminal at certain points which while honestly might sound daunting, can actually be quicker and easier for certain tasks.
  4. I honestly haven't played it yet even though I do own it. I've been meaning to run through it. From what I've heart about it, the campaign is really good and worth playing through. Seems like people really enjoyed the MP as well but it had a pretty bad launch window that left it competing with other heavy hitters so it never really developed much of a player base. I'm not sure how active the scene is. From what I've heard, it is a huge improvement over TF1's multiplayer which says a lot since I thought TF1 was really fun online.
  5. Honestly, Dennis is one of my favorites. Why? Because I find him absolutely hilarious. Nearly every time he makes an appearance, he has me cracking up. It isn't even that he is making jokes or trying to be funny, it's just the way he acts in general and that he seems to find everything funny himself. Just seeing him start to laugh makes me end up laughing. I don't care if he isn't that knowledgeable about tech, I'd still love to see him in more videos. Even if it is just him making random appearances.
  6. That's not a time paradox. That's just not knowing how to properly set the time.
  7. Which generation? From what I understand, they didn't have traction control for quite awhile. Probably not the best thing for an inexperienced driver in a RWD vehicle hence many of the crash videos...
  8. Plus, you should be using one for calls as well. You don't want to be one of those people who walk around having a conversation on speaker. I just want to punch them in the face.
  9. Honestly, it is really tough to tell because of the lighting.
  10. I have no problem with the LGBT stuff in this game, or in media in general, as long as it isn't being done for virtue signaling or thrown in last minute in an attempt to get ratings or attract attention. Hell, I'm quite the fan of yuri anime because I enjoy a good love story and cute girls being cute together is always enjoyable. That said, I don't know how this game is handling it or what the motives are behind writing the game this way. But given the current political climate resulting in constant pandering from companies, I'm always suspicious. Of course, I an can see these things existing in the apocalypse but when they are thrown in together in such a small world, it does start to make you feel like they are pandering at worst or just being unrealistic at best. But I haven't played the game yet so I need to see the context before passing judgement. I also need to see where you encounter these characters such as if they are in urban areas where the LGBT community has a greater presence and it would make sense to encounter more people like that? Like, from a proportional perspective does it make sense? Most reasonable people don't like being pandered to so that doesn't surprise me. I actually find that kind of stuff interesting. I'm a straight CIS male but I think it can make for some compelling storytelling. Overcoming barriers, social expectations, etc can make for a good love story. But like I said, when it becomes about pandering or preaching, then I lose interest. Meanwhile I'm 34 and most of my anime watching consists of high school slice of life stuff with cute girls doing cute things. Anyway... I can't tell you how many posts I've seen online where people say they are just going to pretend the second game doesn't exist. I've honestly lost a lot of my enthusiasm to play it. I still think I will, just to give it a chance but I'm not in a rush to that's for sure. It's pretty low on my list right now whereas my hype for the first game was so high that it was one of the first games I played on my PS3 when I bought it. I even replayed it when it came out on the PS4.
  11. Partly because of the vast power difference I would imagine and from what I understand there are custom chips that just add even more complication to the matter. Just to get an idea of how complicated these things can be, check out this video. It's about the OG XBox and probably not the same thing but it kind of puts your brain in the right direction to understanding what goes into emulation development. @keik Definitely not! That is a well known fake emulator. Don't be fooled by these fakes. Just the most basic of research will reveal what is real and what is fake.
  12. Still, the optical drive is such a small percentage of the production cost, it isn't going to justify any storage increase. And if they did do that, it would just end up the same price as the disc version most likely. At that point, what is the point? Most people wouldn't be willing to sacrifice the disc drive for a little extra storage, they would just go with the optical drive version and plan to plug in external storage when the need arises.
  13. Well, if you actually purchased the game, you don't need to worry about piracy. That said, just a quick Google search reveals there does seem to be a way around the FW version requirement. I don't have a modded Switch so I am not familiar all the details. I also don't want to link to anything as I'm too lazy to read through everything and I don't want to accidentally link to anything with pirated content. FYI, AFAIK, if you install CFW you will no longer be able to connect online without risk of getting banned. So be prepared for you r Switch to be offline only. I think most people who who actually care about going online but want CFW end up buying two Switches.
  14. Okay, not real at all but still hilarious. But there is a real gas station chain that has a small presence around me in Wisconsin but I believe it is much larger in other areas. It is called Kum and Go. Seriously? Not one person thought there might be a problem with the name for obvious reasons? Couldn't they at least have named it Come and Go? Maybe the internet has just turned me into a filthy degenerate but that name is just such a bad play on words that can easily be turned into a double entendre. To be fair, it was founded in 1959 so I guess no one could have foreseen what that word in different spelling would be associated with. But damn. How unfortunate lol.

    Ara Ara...

The great thing about being flat chested is that it makes getaways like that easy.
  16. Yeah, because that is totally why law enforcement wants it, not to like, you know, identify people caught on camera committing crime. It's just virtue signaling so they can all feel good about themselves. Don't get me wrong, there a lot of concerns to raise surrounding this technology but to do this now of all times, just reeks of pandering. Honestly, it is truly despicable that they would play this card at a time when people are out rioting in the streets, attacking journalists, attacking police, looting, and burning down innocent people's businesses. If anything, recent events serve as an example of why we need this technology. Of course, we need to have a lot of regulation in place to prevent abuse. This technology is ripe for abuse which is why as a libertarian I do worry a lot about the mass surveillance aspect of it, but I do believe there is a place for it. Obviously, the last thing we want is for this to be used like it is in China but at the same time, if someone is caught committing a crime, being able to quickly determine who was caught on camera can literally save lives in certain cases. A good use case would be if you were caught on camera committing a crime and later happened to step in front of another camera, that the software could automatically detect you and notify police of your current location should you have a warrant out for your arrest. I think that would be a very responsible use of this technology. Of course, I don't want a record kept of where everyone goes. I don't want everyone's face scanned so that your name is registered in a database as having been at location X between the time of X-X on X-day. Granted, there would be a record in terms of the camera footage but it is still a little different than just outright logging your location. Besides, our phones already do that which is kind of bad enough as it is. I would be okay with being able to match up all footage of someone provided law enforcement had a warrant though.
  17. And this is why you just can't trust most traditional news outlets these days. Read the headline, then read the first sentence. That first sentence should have been the headline but no. They intentionally wrote it in a misleading and clickbaity way to more views. If this is how it is for gaming, do you really want to trust them for political news? Anyway, I'm only seeing a 33 GB update. I thought it was supposed to be like 40 GB? Maybe I had paused the last update and forgot about it so I just resumed that one. Idk. Guess I'll see when it's done.
  18. Visual updates? I'm still quite frustrated and admittedly a little salty that RS chose not to release an X and Pro patch to bring the game up to 4k or at least 1440p. Okay, so basically what we are being told here is that Online is going F2P at the very least for the two upcoming consoles and we can expect it to at the very least look better. What run better means, idk. Fixing performance bugs or actual 60fps and beyond? Anyway, that article mentions "versions", not a patch for existing PS4 and One versions. So I assume that means they are going to be releasing the single player for three console generations now? So does this mean that GTA V will not work through backwards compatibility? The 360 version doesn't on the One, presumably because there exists a One specific version. RS obviously has a ton of pull. If they ask MS and Sony, I'm sure it wouldn't be a supported game despite MS saying all One games will work on the Series X. I guess if online is free, that really isn't the end of the world but it still would be nice if they would just update the PS4 and One versions of the game on the new consoles instead of us having to go out and buy the game yet again if we want enhanced single player graphics. So I'm wondering if that means the game won't work through backwards compatibility when the new consoles launch or if once RS releases the next gen version, MS and Sony will lock the old versions out from working anymore. Really, that isn't a big deal for online, since it is free and just requires you to download the game again. But I guess there are still people who haven't played single player yet so they will be forced to buy the specific next gen version. All that said, if this means we will be getting a separate achievement list for the game, I won't be too upset about buying it a fourth time. It's always fun running through GTA games for achievements. If we don't get a separate achievement list, I won't be buying the game a fourth time since the only point in playing single player would be to relive the campaign and I would rather just do that on PC so I run it with mods. Well, yeah. I'm sad we didn't get DLC but I'm not sure how big of effect online had. If anything, it just gave them even more money that they could have pumped into single player. I think they just chose not to do it. GTA IV was really the only GTA game that had proper single player DLC so it isn't like we had come to expect this from GTA games. I still can't believe people buy Shark Cards. I had pretty much everything I wanted online by the time I hit level 100 and once I hit 120, I was pretty much out of things to buy because I invested my early earnings and it payed off dividends as I leveled up. I'm still only like level 170 or something IIRC and I have like 15 million in the bank and have just been buying random things that go on sale because I don't know what to do with my money. I have so many cars, military vehicles, stupid flying vehicles, yacht, and the best locations for pretty much all money making properties (at least IMO) with everything fully maxed out, garages, two high end apartments, etc. Never needed to buy a Shark Card once. Only impatient people who don't know how to farm or grind buy Shark Cards. I've met people well over my level who are flat broke and have to sell cars to get enough money to buy things they want. Many still don't even own the MC businesses or nightclub.
  19. I'm sure we will see a lot of RPG and anime style games within the first year. It was the same deal with the PS4. So there will be plenty of exclusives to play. Sadly, those games just don't get enough attention. Sony wants to promote more mainstream games to Western gamers.
  20. Yes, it will work just fine. Just make sure that if for any reason your actual MS/Live account was set to UK that you change it to the correct region. Just to clarify, you are physically in Europe now, right? You aren't like visiting the UK or anything and using the console there?
  21. @JZStudiosWhat? You think all that anime I recommended is weeby?
  22. Really only in a pinch. I'm all about true surround sound. I have a fairly decent surround system so it's pretty much all I use. I really don't think you can beat a good surround system except for the fact headphones drown out noise which can help pick up finer details.
  23. What delay? Pretty much everything we have heard up to this point has been speculation. How can something have been delayed when RS hasn't even confirmed the game is in development? Correct me if I'm missing something here...
