  1. Alright guys, who owns ROTTR? was looking for some opinions, I loved the reboot, how does this one stack up? is it as crazy as the reboot with the insane gameplay moments where everything blows up lol? wasn't really keen on the reboots story though to be fair
  2. Own a pair of HD 598's, they are epic tbf! also do not listen to people who say the 558's and the 598's sound the same, I own both and have done for a year, there is definitely a difference
  3. Alright guys, a quick question, I own a 4k monitor with DP 1.2 and HDMI 1.4, I'm considering getting the new PS4 that can upscale to 4k, question is, if a game runs at 1080p 60fps and is upscaled to 4k, will it still be 60fps? or does HDMI 1.4 not have enough bandwidth? thanks
  4. Well I own a 4k monitor, I'd say a 32 inch monitor at least to see a significant difference
  5. Do you have any good guides to OC my ram? and it's definately as stable as those other sticks you mentioned, without burning my mobo out? sounds good
  6. No, I mean will 2400mhz slot in my mobo and work straight away? it says 2400mhz OC and I thought you needed to OC your cpu so it can run with a higher frequency than your mobo can handle stock, I remember reading about people needing to OC their cpu as the xmp profile wouldn't work
  7. Not sure dude, my friend says 4k at low looks better than 1440p at high, I wouldn't know, I don't play new AAA, I'm interested in a few yeh but I also don't mind waiting for the gpu refresh, I can't be assed to go 1440p to then consider wanting to go 4k in a few months if this gpu refresh is as big of a deal as Nvidia are making out
  8. Alright guys looking at going to 4k gaming, I use 1600mhz 16GB ram atm, looking to move up to 2400mhz as I have seen some benchmarks on this site off people and a few websites that show it improves minimum framerates by quite a bit sometimes, do I need to OC my i7 4790k? using a Gigabyte Gaming 5, if so how much by? never saw the point in OC for now as it doesn't make much difference in offline, plus the i7 was on sale at the time for the price of the i5, before anyone asks why I got the K version, thanks
  9. Every bit of 4k advice is appreciated That's cool thanks! so umm how do I run a game at 1440p that only shows 1080p in the graphics options?
  10. The issue I have guys is that I wanna go to atleast 1440p, but then I don't wanna get a 1440p monitor for in a year or 2 to go to want to go to 4k, but maybe 1440p is the best option right now. So how do games run at 1440p that don't support it natively? an ini tweak? should I upgrade my ram for 1440p?
  11. Well honestly, I barely play new AAA releases, I mainly play games from a few years ago, I still need to play GTA 5 and ROTTR, which I wouldn't mind waiting for a new GPU release to get, but thanks for your opinion, makes this a lot harder to decide
  12. Okay man thanks! Why do you say that? I've seen many benchmarks at 4k on this card on medium settings, most games get around 45fps or more for a game a few years older, which are what I would play mostly, which I wouldn't mind with gync tbf
  13. Alright guys, I posted a topic yesterday about going to 1440p, I think i'll just go straight to 4k tbf and wait another month to save up some money, the monitor i'm looking at has to be 32 inch, anything less is to small for my room and anything bigger is to much and i'm only looking at 16:9 My rig is a GTX980 with an i7 4790k, I don't mind using medium settings as long as I'm getting 45fps plus, as this monitor comes with gync, also I use 1600mhz 16gb ram right now, would I need say 2400mhz ram for 4k? So I found a monitor yesterday, any opinions on this? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-Predator-XB321HK-Monitor-Adjustable/dp/B017U8Z61W/ref=sr_1_4?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1462194778&sr=1-4&keywords=4k+monitor+acer Also how does 4k work with games a few years old that don't natively support it? just a quick ini tweak? the same for games from the early 2000's? thanks people
