  1. Hello! On my PS4 I played through Death Stranding. Now with a PS5 I was tempted into buying the Directors Cut by a friend and as I just finished playing Ghost of Tushima and it's Digital Deluxe added content next on my play list of the added content from Death Stranding. I'm curious if anyone else has re-played it through and think any of the early changes makes it worthwhile to start a new save? Or just jump back in from the end's save and pick up the new "side quests".
  2. Hello everyone, I have recently got into DnD 5e locally with friends but are limited to one session a month and I'd like to play more than that. We've used a software called Fantasy grounds to play in the past and if anyone out there also has a copy it'd be fun to create a campaign online! Me and a friend are looking for players for twice a month(Exact days to be figured out), on Fridays after 6pm PST to join in. My friend is willing to DM but is willing to let someone else if they are interested to run it.* Let me know if you are interested!
  3. Well after playing with Nagios(Which I think was the better option if I was willing to pay for their nice interfaces.) and Observium I Rolled with Observium. It's really good with the amount of graphs it sets up out of the box. Thanks all, I had not seen Observium mentioned before in other online postings about SNMP monitors.
  4. Hello all, I've been searching the great Google to answer this question. :BackStory: A friend has used Cacti, version 8.8 with a few no longer supported add-ons to monitor some Cisco hardware and windows machines on his work network. Mainly using SNMPv1 or v2c. Cacti is up to version 1.1.16 last I looked at it, sadly his add-ons no longer work.(Mainly a few additionally graphing pages like "Monitor") :: We have been doing some testing with Untangle, fun router OS. It has SNMP options but where we are falling short is figuring out how to monitor a network interface. Bits/sec Up/down, Bits total Up/Down. Is there a software out there that out of the box will monitor a Unix server via SNMP for network interface data? From what I can see it will require doing some changes to the untangles information it sends the server and the server will need to be prepared to accept the additional data. (Likely a software that has a per configured client side install) Anyone know of such a software? I'm not looking forward to the idea of trying to write my own.
  5. well there goes my 5 bucks, that was fast. lol
  6. In case you were one of the unlucky ones to miss out on the ErgoDox Keyboard last time it had a kit on Mass Drop, they are back with a new and improved version! I have already ordered mine, I love the idea. Plus learning new keyboard layouts is always fun. (one more way to keep people from trying to use my computer *cough) https://www.massdrop.com/buy/infinity-ergodox
  7. I miss worded that, there are some mobo's with non UEFI boot options. and you would use that instead. On that note, it would require the OEM's to make laptops/desktops that had other boot options, which wont be that likely. This is still a huge middle finger from microsoft, I really hate it. I hope you really like windows 7, I think MS support it with security updates for atleast another year or so.
  8. This was the impression I was under, Though @thekeemo believes that if you disable the UEFI windows 10 it will boot with a legacy boot loader. I haven't tested this myself but if this is the case, you will be able to dual boot windows 10 and GNU/Linux on the same machine. Hopefully motherboards will continue to have the option to disable UEFI so that this work around can continue. *edited spelling mistakes
  9. You have removed my reason's for beening angry..... this frustrates me. I must find something else to release my anger on.. (see's a sprider across the room, slowly reaches for a book)....... I'll be back.
  10. which makes the asumption that you cannot boot to windows without it yes? Let me give you an example of what I'm thinking here, Lets say I want a new laptop. great I get an Hp something. I always dual boot with some linux distro, lets say ubuntu 12.04. If HP decided they didnt want people booting ubuntu 12.04 for some reason, they can block it. Lets say there some wonky driver issue they dont like. which means I cannot boot to ubuntu with UEFI enable + secure boot. Turn it off? sure. that would solve the problem, Now I need to get into windows 10, have to boot to bios, re enable UEFI with secure boot and then reboot into windows. and that sounds like a massive pain in the butt.
  11. From what I see UEFI is a minimum requirment. is that wrong?
  12. Thats it, Windows 7 will be the last Windows OS I will ever use. forcing me to use Secure Boot beacuse "reasons" means I wont be able to switch between wonky linux OS's I use the the day to day. I have normally 3 os's at any given time on my workstation. having to go into the bios to enable and disable secure boot every day to switch between them, Unacceptable. Microsoft is great, but since apple, with its walls garden approch to software has taken over, microsoft only wants to do the same(dont forget google!) I'm out.
  13. Wow I was looking at building a small cluster of PI 2 computers, this will be perfect!
  14. Hey everyone, a friend of mine has come into an old server case that we want to use for our storage server. We want to use a raid card with it but our issue is the hot swap bays. It has one connector which is an 8 device sas cable. I can only fine a few models of 8 device one port raid card and there are a lot more options in the dual 4 device port cards. is there a converter cable for this? that way we can have more shopping options for raid cards. thanks, -A
