  1. That’s true, I’ll probably end up doing that. Thanks for the advice.
  2. I’m all over the place with games but I do play games that are graphically intensive. I have the money yes but the question is should I be spending it or just saving it. I’m not the type of person to just spend money just because I have it. So u think just a cpu and motherboard upgrade would do just fine for now?
  3. Budget (including currency): 2000 Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: gamer Details: I currently have a GTX 1080, 6600k OC @ 4.2ghz, 16GB of RAM. I built this PC about 4-5 years ago. Basically when the 1080 came out. I have recently started to run into some issues with games here and there. I’ve been having a lot of issues with Warzone especially but I’m not sure if that is mainly the game itself or my hardware. If I were to upgrade I would get a 10700k and a RTX 3080. I currently play on 1440p @ 144hz Any suggestions on if I should just hold out for another year or so or just go ahead and upgrade. I would probably only upgrade the Mobo, CPU, GPU and CPU cooler. Unless it might be better to just have a brand new build.
  4. Already requested a day off, and I'll be paying with a debit card
  5. Never say never ;), midnight Eastern, Pacific, central?
  6. I need a GPU asap, and I need a blower style GPU. I'm going to be putting a waterblock on it over the summer, and to get it early, I'll pitch in an extra 100.
  7. We all know the GTX 1080 is going to be released on May 27th, but does anyone know what time EST, newegg will have it avaliable to order. Would it be avalible at midnight or noon, or some other time?
  8. Isn't Polaris going to be release this fall though?
  9. So assuming that, should I save money and get a 1070, or go for a 1080?
  10. Im thinking of going 4k over the summer
  11. Lets start from the top, I bought an 980 ti for $600 2 days before the reveal of the GTX 1080 and the GTX 1070. So I thought since the 1080 will start at $600, and it is almost twice as faster, I would just get a refund and get the 1080. So newegg agreed to give me a refund, but only $510 due to it being opened. Since I would be almost $100 short($600 was already above budget as it is), should I just go for it, and put the extra money in for the 1080, or save money and get the 1070, and use the money I saved on accessories? I currently game on 1080p, and would love to upgrade to 4k in the near future. To wrap it up, should I spend more money and get the 1080, or go for the smaller brother, 1070?
  12. Im about to jump on this deal right now
  13. If I get a 980 ti, it would probably be refurbished. Should I go for the refurbished 980 ti, or just get a new 980?
