Nah for now it's all about money, AMD is in troubles because they made a jump to worse architecture instead of pushing Phenoms and now they are facing the results and trust me there's no smile on their face. They are barely making it to get back from their bad state.

As i already said in a different thread, APUs are shitty and their price-to-performance ratio sucks balls of any GPU+CPU combo including Phenom II x4 + 70$ Mobo + 7770.

And you would run at -almost- filled vram most of the time. Now consoles have 4-5GB RAM for games, what do you think they will use it for? Textures.
 
What if the amount of games with 2k+ textures raises quickly in next few months? Will you tell everybody to return 2GB cards because they can't run anything at playable framerates because of vram bottleneck?

Booted up my Phenom II x6 1045t without heatsink... not intentionally, I thought i've put it on yet nope... PC POSTed after fixing bent pin and that was why i didnt notice... i only noticed when the PC turned off before getting into 'windows boot screen' cuz of overheat. Good it turned itself off, i might've done a lot of dmg anyway by that accident but it works right now.
 
I'd swear heatsink was in place when i booted it!

Sadly next-gen consoles are very low power tech already and they didn't even come out yet. Which leads us to the point:
4 i5 cores are twice as fast as 8 jaguar cores.
Bottom line:
Get i7 if you are scared of games using more threads but FX series have little in common with jaguars so optimising for amd processors won't happen.

Sorry but I will stick to HDD and maybe RAID0 with 2 HDDs.
 
SSD is crappy because it's FAR to expensive for what it offers. Terrible price for just boot times and app launching. I will get SSD when they get cheaper per GB of data. Currently they are useless for me.

Hmm i can definitely see somebody paying 3000-4000$ for 4k monitor/TV...

8-9 times FPS was never stated anywhere and will never happen, it's not possible with current hardware. What was stated is 9x faster sending draw calls which you clearly didn't understand. It's not about FPS, it's about how fast can CPU talk with GPU about rendering stuff, so to speak.
 
Not to mention Mantle is not out yet so shouting about it as a groundbreaking thing is silly... I'll believe it when I see it. Same with R9 290x as Titan killer... we'll have to wait for non-biased benchmarks before claiming it is faster than any GPU ever made because we simply don't know yet.
 
Only one game was announced to support Mantle now (Battlefield 4) and it's not instantly but rather in December patch (plus a promise for support in future EA games) so it's nowhere soon.

Yes, it's holding it back badly. Xeon e3-1230v3 will be better buy than i7-4770 cuz you do not need an iGPU and that's the only difference between i7-4770 and xeon e3-1230v3. Yes, you will see a HUGE frame difference once your CPU is gonna be so powerful. Especially Skyrim and other games that just run a lot better on Intel CPUs which have faster singlethread performance.

First, 2133mhz RAM is useless, get a good CL9 or CL8 1600MHz and it will be as fast and lower latency. But since you already have the RAM, yes it's compatible without problems.
 
Second, get Xeon e3-1230v3 (it's exactly Haswell i7 4770 but no iGPU included, not like you would ever use it) - you're gonna save some money. The motherboard you've chosen is great as it will allow you to eventually Crossfire/SLI if you ever wanted and yes it will support the i7/Xeon e3-1230v3.

Well HD 7750 is at least few times faster than GT 520m so not even a competition here.
