  1. True, most of the time I hear people talking about nefarious stuff is decryption and whatnot but a backdoor that makes a device vulnerable on a home router isn't generally going to do much for standard DDoS attacks. Certain reflection/amplification based attacks can get away with it in a more stealthy manner but they aren't stealing someones credentials or anything for sure, not with the weak hardware the consumer stuff comes with, haha. I'm not saying there aren't crappy code practices in firmware either but that's a completely different topic and definitely not limited to one company or region of companies
  2. Dear YouTube:

Move to https://freetubeapp.io/ my dudes. It has built in Sponsor block as well on top of no Google crap and no ads ever. Been using it for 6 Months now, it's awesome.

But... I'd miss the cancerous toxic comment section of Youtube.

No you can still see the Comments, you just can't reply.

  3. Your account is from 2013 The forum DID have a breach MANY years ago It's likely that data is now being indexed by Google One's dark web search.
  4. SSID and password is all you need to move over to the new one and everything will connect.

Doesn't this go against their entire brand image of being on the side of users?

The whole point of the site, according to Userbenchmark, is that it allows the masses to test their hardware in ways that are "more objective" because their numbers are not biased. Userbenchmark claims that third party reviewers are often bought-and-paid-for marketers for products.

So putting up a paywall that prevents users from running their benchmark tool seems to go against their self stated "mission" of providing "more reliable data" by gathering it from a large number of individuals. Which means that the site has now gone against their own brand.

Making a decision that flies in the face of established brand image is particularly egregious. I might even go so far as to call it a "Neanderthal marketing" move.

Sadly, I think there will still be unsavvy enough newbies out there who'll pay for it either by stumbling upon it or goaded by friend/family/paid(or dumb) influencer.

Then comes to this forum screaming bottleneck.

Bright side : We'll get less bottleneck scream based on userbenchmark result since not all wants to pay.

  5. Go with the x550-T2 as it supports 2.5/5 gigabit speeds in addition to 1 and 10 gig without issue. The x540 doesn't have native 2.5/5g support and it working is hit or miss.
  6. It means nothing, there is no issue It's from slight imperfections in the gold contacts process and whatnot, it doesn't mean anything beyond that.
  7. You need to copy the link for share not in the URL bar Is the picture what you have now?
  8. In addition to the link posted by @Needfuldoer Check out: https://www.spxlabs.com/blog/2019/3/16/silence-your-dell-poweredge-server I posted a similar script here a while back but now I can't find the topic, haha I remember trying to find a way to make those scripts work with ESXi (rip) but if you go Proxmox I suspect they would work much better at boot to keep the server quiet Edit: Found it
  9. That could definitely cause issues. Try uninstalling cfosspeed and see if anything changes.
  10. It's all good, they're a pain to notice sometimes and if you're not sure if they can be pulled out then it's even worse but yah glad it was a simple fix
  11. These little white plastic caps on the ends in this picture need to be removed, just pull them off.
  12. Can you take a picture and did you pull out the plastic dust cap on each end before trying to install?
  13. This sounds like some ethernet "booster" or speed boost software is installed or some Gigabyte application is doing QoS "for gaming" that got a setting turned on.
  14. Can you link the new cable you bought? SC/APC to SC/UPC seems to be what you need based on the pics of the old cable.

Ah yah, I've seen horror stories of doubling of prices being the best case.

Need that money for some network licenses?
  17. Yah, took many hours to figure out how to do it
  18. Power is required to make FPS go brrrrr
  19. Most of what I've tried isn't really spicy, maybe a small kick of flavor but nothing more.
  20. Depends on the veggies and the person. I tend to stick to a little salt and some pepper but every now and again a little dash of cajun seasoning or some garlic power/salt can work too. I would get a bunch of various seasonings from the grocery store that look like you might like them and give them a shot on veggies and see if any stand out to you more than others for what you like. There are also some salad dressing style seasonings I've seen too with various flavors that some people like, I'm not sure how healthy they might be but could be worth a look too. What sucks about that method though is sometimes they only sell x seasoning in large containers and to find out you don't like it and have to toss it can really suck in terms of throwing away money
  21. Do you have and/or care about WiFi 6E or WiFi 7? The Pixel lineup has horrible issues with it right now due to some software bugs. Google seems to hopefully be fixing it, eventually, but still nothing so far.
  22. Looks like two scammers/bots trying to bid it up and then pay with stolen money or something along those lines.
  23. Scams Money Laundering Bots farming reputation where they pay themselves using different accounts. Edit: Looking at the bids it's the same two accounts, one with zero rep and the other with 3 rep They're trying to scam the seller in all likelihood
