You're welcome! Honestly, I should have joined a long time ago since I've been watching the channel for a long time. This was just the push I needed I guess to signup. It was too good not to share so I hope everyone gets a kick out of it.

You shall now be assimilated into the collective!!

I downloaded the installation media from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11

and just wanna make sure I go about getting a product key in the right way.

I'm guessing go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows, > "get windows 11" > scroll down to "get your license" and select the "Windows 11 Home (Download)".

I'm just a little confused that there is no option to just buy a KEY by itself. Did I do the it correctly with downloading the installation media the way I did?

Side note: It's a little annoying that it keeps redirecting me to the german license download because that's where I'm located 😕

That IS buying a key, download is saying you don't want physical media. What you download is the same as from the install media site.

Can do it in disk management in Windows tools, or in some 3rd party tool like Minitool Partition Wizard or something like it. Needs access to a PC with OS or some "rescue disc" I think.

Usually the new disks come GPT from factory? Honestly don't know, they might be GPT already.

Disks do NOT come formatted from the factory...

Just let the windows installer deal with it

Set it to either GPT or MBR partitioning type I think is needed. GPT far superior (modern), MBR is not advised, only for compatibility with ancient systems.

They are installing Windows fresh, you don't need any of this to do that.

Ransomware can encrypt network share files, if the infected client computer has write access to the files in the share it can see.

    This.

You're not running really anything directly on Unraid or truenas like with a host machine where you would download the file directly and run it on there but network shares can definitely still be infected by end machines that have access.

I think what they were trying to say was that the ports could be wearing, not working to the full potential.

It does not work that way. Electronics don't wear out and operate half way.

The only way to get partial speed is with QoS limiters which is what was true in this case but link speed are fixed rates.

advertised on forums and user does what user wants to do, that's none of my business I'll just act as an middleman, if any illegal stuff will be done, I will be in no way informed of it, let's say I say for legal reasons I do not allow such stuff to be done, but if they do or not will not be my problem anymore I've already said I don't allow it.

Will be primary use for Old school runescape bots.

Saying "I don't allow it" and the police knocking at your door and you telling them "well I said not to do x,y,z" and expecting them to walk away are completely different things. The police do not care, you will be on the hook for any illegal activities, full stop.

  8. Is the pump plugged into the pump header on the board or another dedicated port to supply power/PWM signals so the pump runs at 100% speed the entire time or are you on a PWM header that's not adjusting the speed of the pump properly?

Is 100C only hit in one game or all games?

We will not be ignoring "the legality stuff" here.

Well actually we can ignore the legal stuff. Let me start by asking OP the following questions:

What are your Terms of Service for the service and how will you enforce them?

How will you accept payment and store user information securely?

How will you create accounts for your users that sign up?

How will you ensure users aren't doing anything illegal that would get YOU in trouble?

What sort of service level agreement will you offer if any for uptime of the service?

How often will you charge users?

What sort of protections will you have in place to protect user data and privacy?

Will you have an agreement with your ISP to allow hosting of services? If so how will you prevent DDoS attacks?

How will you protect yourself and others from nefarious individuals who might be looking to steal payment information, login credentials, etc?

What sort of equipment will you be using to host this proxy service and can you host it in such a way as to prevent downtime during updates?

These are unbranded mass produced optics, probably not superb quality but if they don't work, you should be able to get a refund.

Only thing that stands out aside from lack of branding is that the pictures of fibers plugged in are all multi mode fibers even though these are single mode SFPs. But that contributes to the general cheapness of the listing.  Either way, you could buy these and they are (probably) not duds.

I mean to be fair they ripped the images directly from fs.com with the switch, which is a switch that doesn't even support 25g to begin with (it's a Cisco Nexus 9396PX that's shown). I don't expect much thought into quality was given 😛
