  1. i think i will have to reinstall windows then.. imma see if restoring bios to default settings does anything before that. but most likely i will have to reformat. thanks
  2. yes. and i have 'windows 10 1903' installed on it. am using Display Port. cable is new. I tested some games too. did not notice any difference performance wise. the pixelated coloring issues are only at boot and safe mode.
  3. ok.. so yesterday I watched a few south park episodes.. and went to sleep.. woke up to find that windows decided to install new drivers for my GTX670 without even asking me. half the screen was purple/pink.. I then immediately went and downloaded DDU. went into safe-mode (which was also pink/purple) and uninstalled all nvidia crap and restarted PC. I went into chrome to download my old drivers that worked like a charm for years~ (btw. even the non-safemode was purple/pink before installing drivers) so after I installed 399.24 drivers. windows went back to normal. no more pink/purple. everything looked fine. until I restarted. when I restarted. boot screen was still pink/purple. but when I reach the normal-desktop it wasn't pink/purple. I restarted into safe-mode and safe-mode was pink/purple too. but the normal mode is fine. wtf??? so i was like "lets try a different driver" so I went and DDU'd everything again. and installed the latest nvidia drivers 441.87. again. normal OS wasn't pink/purple. but safemode/boot-screen is still purple/pink even on 441.87. is there a way I can fix this? something tells me its an issue with the generic drivers that safe-mode uses. cause normal OS works perfectly fine. somehow windows update fucked my "safe mode/boot" display drivers up.
  4. so I was cleaning cookies and shit. like I do once a week. (im on Chrome btw) and when I got back to youtube to change back to old look (cause the new look sucks ass) I see that they removed the restore button. anyone know a way I could restore the old look and none of that "agent-user" extension crap please. I can't use facebook with that extension. thanks
  5. I fixed the stutter. there is a thing called 'HPET' in the bios that was turned on. from what I understand it's a "high precision event timer" but if you have i5 or i7 or AMD equivalent or windows 7, 8 or 8.1 you do not need it. cause they use a more efficient albeit less accurate event timer. after I turned off HPET the stutter in windows was gone AND games got a healthy boost of FPS. so thanks everyone for your help. appreciate it.
  6. isn't a usb mouse and keyboard do that anyways? like both my keyboard and mouse use 1000ms polling rate. and adding one more app to that list shouldn't cause any extra load. is it different from a usb mouse and keyboard pinging? if yes. then I will take your word and just tolerate the stutter till I find a different fix for it.
  7. if I said that I don't mind the 'wasteful' aspect of it. how do I make the pc run at 1ms all the time? or is it that horrible to do so and I just need to accept the stuttery feel and deal with it?
  8. ok I hope I can explain whatever this is using words only. I have weird stuttering when I am dragging windows with the mouse. and I found this thing online called "DPC Latency Checker" its a way for me to see if there is any input lag or input delay in my computer. so you just put it in the background and go about your regular pc stuff and keep an eye on the "DPC Latency Checker" and if anything is causing it it will show. but here is the weird thing. whenever the DPC Latency Checker is running my PC is smooth as butter. I mean. no stutter. chrome opens less than a milisecond and opening 50 tabs causes no freeze. but the moment I turn the DPC Latency Checker off. PC goes back to feeling sluggish and stuttery. what the hell? can anyone please help. what do you think is causing this behavior. I dont wanna keep running the DPC LC all day long just to use my pc hh
  9. will do... maybe a corrupted file. or something... and thank you for your help.. ^^
  10. drivers are up to date. I never OC anything. not gpu nor cpu turned off hyper threading, turned off speedboost. and ram is on auto mode. which is 1600mhz
  11. did it. played a bit and it happened again...
  12. playing NFS Rivals and getting this error... directx up to date. vc++ up to date. nvidia drivers up to date. other games work fine. what can cause this? thanks..
  13. same here. if my Senn HD600 is stolen or dies. I will buy another HD600 or up for a planar. Over Ear Open headphones are the only ones I consider as valid. but I want something low profile and high quality when I go outside. I considered vmoda crossfade m100 but it's too big and storage is an issue. I just want something to shove into my pocket when I do not use em hh
