Felix3301's Achievements

  1. I have an Iphone 4 atm and its gawd awfully bad with ios7. I like the snapdragon 801 in the experia Z2. Dbrand does a nice job on the skin but nothing exceptional. Them sponsoring this giveaway is worth way more to me, kudos for Dbrand
  2. The mesh is clear yes and because all of the intake fans of the GPU and CPU are close to it they suck fresh air in from outside the case so it stays nice and cool
  3. The Scythe shuriken 2 and big shuriken are a good fit for the case (anything under 70mm) . Right now as a student I don´t have any more money to spend but I will be changing that in the future
  4. For non commercial purposes everyone is free to create what they want. As long as you do not claim the design as your own. I do not want to release my 3d models yet. Edit: I think MDF is made from waste wood chips so I don't think I've hurt too many of my tree friends
  5. Yes, there is a slot cut out running from the top al the way under the GPU. Additional cabel routing holes might be added. But right now with this hardware I don't see the need
  6. I think I'll be getting the best tips from this section of the forum as people have seen many completed builds. But I know sorry. Can I delete topics?
  7. I posted this topic in cases and PSU's but I thought this would be a better place for the topic (don't blame me i'm new here  ) I designed the case to carry standard ATX size motherboards and PSU's to give the consumer a great Price/performance ratio as these components tend to have better of those. Also this means it is suitable for Socket 2011 boards. That means Professionals can use this as a powerfull mobile workstation. They could install like a powerfull CAD card like a Quadro K6000 along with a 2011 type CPU. But wait there is more with Valve's upcoming steamboxes this could be a very good candidate. Because like previously stated the ATX form factor gives a great price to performance ratio. This is very important to nearly every gamer, especially the ones coming from the consoles ( as they tend to spend less on the initial system). You could carry your steambox around to lets say your friends house because of the carry handle. I designed the case so that the PSU airflow is seperated from the rest. On the back of the case their is a dedicated intake for the PSU. The front of the case is also free of messy cables obstructing airflow because of the slot cut out to channel them through the back into and arrea that doesn't need much airflow. Because the graphics card is tilted 90 degrees it can suck air almost directly from outside the case, eliminating the problems of rest heat coming from other components. A nice added benefit is that you can now see the gorgeous cooler design of your GPU instead of looking at the side and top. From an esthetical standpoint I think that is great because you spend a lot of money on your GPU and now you have added value of actually seeing the design I am looking for feedback from you guys. If you have recommendations please I'd love to hear them. Also I still need a name for it System Specs: 4670K 8GB 1600 RAM 660TI 2GB 600 Watt PSU Samsung 128 GB 840 PRO
  8. Laser cutters are awesome, would have made my job a lot easier. I learned we had one at my faculty halfway when I was painting it <_<. I just looked up your website, I think you probably have all the experience needed. I wish you good luck. What is it exactly you want from your case?
  9. Haven´t yet decided what material to use. But let me tell you, building your own case can be just as frustrating as it is rewarding. I am lucky enough to use very good power tools at my university and even then it is very difficult to get everything millimeter perfect, I have probably made every wooden piece twice by the time I was done. If you have a clear idea of what you want to build and it is not already out there then you should go for it. If it is already out there then I´d say go buy it, the amount of hours I put into this were huge. Time is also valuable
  10. Thanks man! I hope so too, maybe you could knock on the door of Fractal Design for me I hear their from sweden too
  11. I'd love to! But I am really really busy with my studies now so I just can't. I am hoping to get in contact with some case manufacturers to give me feedback. If I can proove to my studies that my design has potential I can get granted more time to develop it but so far I haven't received replies from any
  12. True, reason being is I messed up sanding down the wood on that arrea so I left it sticking out a bit to mask it . I am not a charm with power tools
  13. It could if I'd chosen so but the main issue with watercooling is the weight. I designed it to carry around and I want it to stay around that 5kg mark.
  14. I still have not yet decided on that. I tend to lean towards using alluminum but another material could be carbon impregnated plastic. That kind of plastic does not cause static electricity shocks and would be better able to withstand scratches wear and tear from carrying it around.
  15. The airflow design is not optmized yet. I wanted to get the configuration and orientation design done but I haven't yet decide where to put additional fans as that decision has an impact on what kind of components would fit. I'd have to do more research into that to make an educated decision
