  1. My little brother has a Galaxy A13 (Since Nov-22) It's just now started to turn off the bluetooth and wifi when his headphones are connected and listening to music or video. Started happening last night. Troubleshooting steps so far: Does not turn off wifi when bt is disabled and playing music/video Turns off with different known good headphones and playing music/video Does not turn off when not streaming audio but connected to headphones. I'm thinking BT & WiFi are on the same module and the BT glitching is affecting wifi as well? Thanks in advance!
  2. UPDATE 4/5: After taking a sanity break and setting up another spare XP PC, I found out the all the credentials I tried on the PC that still won't accept them work just fine on this new spare. Now that I know that the credentials themselves are ok, what would cause THAT SPECIFIC PC to reject the credentials?
  3. Well, our POS software is dependent on our current setup. We're basically stuck at this point. The database/connections are managed with Pervasive SQL IIRC. POS software is Touchstone 2000 from Dimasys Inc. (now Infor.)
  4. gotcha. I'll give that a shot in the am (more likely after hours cuz, ya know, credentials.
  5. Uhhh... not 100% sure. I wasn't the one that set it up and no one left a manual. It's kinda sad, really. I am just now starting to work on a network architecture degree.
  6. The business relies on a program that's almost as old as I am. POS software is expensive af. Cloud-based stuff is like $100/license/month, minimum 10 licenses.
  7. I failed to mention that this is an issue on an XP machine. I can't enable SMB1 on our internet connected devices, unless that's all they can run.
  8. I have not! Gimme a bit and I'll report back the results.
  9. I'm in the middle of mapping a network drive, when the server (server 2003) rejects my credentials. I went to double-check that I typed it in correctly, confirmed that it was correct, still rejecting my credentials. I try another employee's credentials (I'm the IT guy of a company of 8 employees) and it accepts theirs. I checked the server (in-person) and could not find anything in the logs that really stand out to me, no errors reported. I checked the credential manager, confirmed that mine were still registered, and looked to see if anything had been changed (it had not.) It showed that I was not logged in and that I hadn't since the last time I has to do this. Any ideas? I'm stumped. Thanks in advance!
  10. Didn't think of that. Thanks. Although, it'll have to be done after hours since the temp machine is in use. Aaaaaand I have about 20k other things to do after work. Yay for having literally NO BUDGET!
  11. Any time I boot up the PC and try to transfer the files to a usb, the PC instantly restarts. If I can get an adapter, I can use my workstation (running Windows 11) to scan for any issues, copy important data, etc..
  12. This would normally be my first thought. However, there is a lot of important data on the FUBAR'd PC. I'll need an IDE to usb adapter to pull the important stuff off of it first, then I'll probably install a fresh copy of XP Integral on the old one. Makes installing drivers on an OLD Dimension 3000 much easier than a fresh XP Pro install.
  13. Finding drivers again is gonna be fun. I've been pushing the boss to get new (or at least new to us) PC's for a while. The HDD's are all IDE The worst part of the drivers dying is using internet. It's so slow loading webpages and internet is critical in our line of work. Thankfully, for the time being, I have a spare lying around until I can figure out what to do with the effed up one.
  14. One of our old workstations suddenly rebooted with no BSOD or errors. Upon logging back in, all previously connected hardware is now showing as "New Hardware Detected." It's now running even slower than before (I know, it's XP, but it was better than it is now.) Any idea of what could've caused this? I'm leaning towards malware. They're running XP and old, outdated AV.
  15. I did all that overnight and it's still not seeing the virtual NIC. Would VMWare be easier to operate?
