Dudefoxlive got a reaction from argyle in Weird port on Dell Laptop Dock
i know it is some hardware problem with the port it self.  i think the person who owned this laptop before me had a child that played rough with the laptop because many of the keys on the keyboard were broken and some of the membranes were broken off as well.  the ethernet port is also i believe damaged because some routers it works and others it does not.  also if i just touch the cable it acts like i unplugged the cable and plugged it back in many times.   i think the port is just damaged.

Mainly the ability to join a Domain and Hyper-V.  i know i could use Virtualbox and VMWare but Hyper-V has native support for many things that i use. Also Remote Desktop.

I use hirens boot disk to remove passwords on Windows installations.  if it is a BIOS password than you are going to need to locate the password reset jumper or the BIOS Battery and remove it and wait till the power is drained from the board.

well i am glad i have not purchased it yet.  this gives me time to think before i start purchasing.  plus i also have an HP Stream 7 Tablet that i want to fix and a LG Sunset that i need to get a replacement screen for.  money that would go to something that i would use more often.

Download something like a hardware monitor utility and watch your cpu and gpu temps.  If they get to hot sometimes they can cause a reboot or shutdown to protect them selfs.
