Terryv got a reaction from patoinf in MarkBench Development and Feature Requests
If there is a Linux version (and I very much hope there will be)
I'd like to suggest a flatpak release. This would essentially make a universal package for all Linux variations.

Terryv got a reaction from OddOod in Antlion mod mic alternatives
My headset does not have a removable cable or a microphone port on it. I'm not sure these are completely compatible

As it turns out, the motherboard is more than capable of driving these headphones.
You were right.

Terryv got a reaction from lil5 in My opinion on Linus and Luke's Linux challenge
Let's face the facts here, both Luke and Linus are newbies.
I would give them only two choices to pick from.
PoP OS and Manjaro.
The AUR is a very powerful tool and would make it very easy for them to find the packages they need without having to hunt for repositories or worry about building from source. This makes Manjaro very difficult to not recommend. Manjaro also has the advantage of having them pick their DE of choice up front whereas PoP they would need to add it after installation.

Might actually happen if they can get the GPU driver finished

I suspect "refurbished" means they cleaned dust off it and slapped on a short warranty.

Wine's overhead is nowhere near what you think.
Proton and lutris can take care of just about any game or launcher
Exceptions apply for games with anti cheat, like EAC and battle eye. This might not be the case in the near future.

That's one example and an outdated one at that.
The new far cry has virtually native performance.
Driver 396.54 was one of the first Nvidia vulkan drivers for Linux, latest is 435.xx. There's also the improvements to dxvk and wine to take into account.

Terryv got a reaction from Alexeygridnev1993 in What’s the best beginners version of Linux?
Any ubuntu derivative will be a good teacher.
It's easy to install and has a large community to pull information from.

You don't have to
This technique for no SD card at all: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/hardware/raspberrypi/bootmodes/msd.md
Or if you want to keep that functionality for the future the. You can use a bootloader like PINN (loaded on the SD) to direct the boot to your USB device.
