  1. I made the mistake of buying a 9 Pro last year. Initial performance was pretty good with smooth everything other than an unusually long launching time for the camera app, this surprised me a lot after coming from an older flagship. Color OS updates have sucked ass for me with a lot of bugs, most notably: Fingerprint unlock not working after a number of days if animations are disabled Not being able to see all notifications on the taskbar (or whatever is called) Some apps (like gmail) not updating on background even if I disable battery/data optimizations Random stutters when recording videos if I "launch the app too quickly" Random touch issues Atrocious battery life Screen turns itself off completely if I reject a phonecall by pressing the power button and putting the phone face down. This is the most annoying for me since I have to force a restart But hey, at least the phone is pretty! Honestly I shoulda bought another Samsung and since we don't get Sony here looks like it's the only option for the future.
  2. Hi all. I'm helping my brother getting a new lapto since I'm the one with the most tech knowledge in my family and given budget limitations I've chosen two options. Both laptops are of the same brand, sell for a similar price and have the same storage (256 GB SSD), RAM (8GB, with an extra stick to make it 12) and screen size. The only difference being screen resolution and CPU. Option A has a more recent and powerful Ryzen 5 4500U *but* a 1366*768 display. Whereas option B comes with a Ryzen 5 3500U and a 1920*1080 display. He's currently working at home with a laptop that looks like it's on life support and I've already said to him that, in my opinion, he shouldn't get anything less than a 1080p display, specially in 2021. But that better CPU does confuse me a bit.
  3. Hi all, I recently replaced my 8 year old Antec TP-750 with a Seasonic one of the same wattage and I was considering selling the old one to a friend who's looking to build a PC. I've done regular maintenance to it (dusting the interior and such) and I haven't really pushed it to the limit in all these 8 years but I really don't know if it's a good idea to sell such an 'old' power supply
  4. Last week I bought these JBL Tune 500BT headphones for my PC and they work fine as long as I don't have the audacity of having more than one Bluetooth device connected/on use. However, as soon as I connect my Xbox One controller the audio coming from the headphones become all stuttery and unusable to the point that I have to plug the controller over USB to use both at the same time. Now, the weird part is that I this happens only with those headphones, everything works perfectly fine if I use another brand of head/earphones so I'm out of ideas about what could be ruining my gaming from bed experience. I use this Kensington Bluetooth 4.0 USB receiver, plugged right into one of the front USB 3 ports of the case.
  5. For some reason the site wasn't loading properly but now it does. Thanks.
  6. Thanks but I can't find that specific model, not even the same chipset (unless I'm blind)
  7. For some time I've been wanting to build a nostalgia PC for early 2000s gaming and recently I found one for that project. It's a Celeron D 2.4GHz, what appears to be 512MB of DDR1, a 80GB WD IDE hard disk and a Biostar P4M80-M4 Motherboard. I have no VGA monitor to test if it actually boot but at least it does turn on. My problem is the CPU, I think is overkill for what I plan to do considering I'm gonna put W98 on the system (XP is too recent for me, never had any experience with ME and didn't like 2000 when I used it) so I'm trying to find a CPU support list for said motherboard but sadly in the Biostar website that model doesn't show at all, it's like it never existed so I was wondering if anybody of you guys have any info on it.
  8. I've been overclocking almost every CPU I had, except from a 550MHz Pentium 3 and the 2 laptops I had. Initially it was for curiosity but now is just because I can On GPU I tend to use some overclock with certain games and it helps a lot. For example on GTA 5 I can get 56-60 FPS overclocking a little bit. Too bad the game is buggy and doesn't like OC.
  9. I found a used Thermaltake Frio OCK, how fares against the Cryorig H7?
  10. I think is kinda pointless a laptop like that. Sure gaming laptops are a thing but this is overkill IMO
  11. Try booting up on safe mode with network and download/install all the drivers again.
  12. In case you can't do the above you're gonna need the USB or DVD disc you used to install Windows, there should be an option called 'Repair your computer' Check this http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2569556/safe-mode-windows.html
  13. Did you plugged a new device recently? Try checking the hard disk for errors if you use one.
  14. What about the Antec True Power New series? I've been using the 750w model since 2012. Haven't failed me once but I want to know if its time for a change or not.
