1823alex got a reaction from da na in Experiences with non-techies
I haven't posted anything in this topic for a while so here goes my rant:
So we run multipoint server 2011 which in itself is great for teaching students (you can lock and project screens etc) but is horrible as a regular os. The person who screwed are school over in doing this has since left his name was Bob or something so Bob HAD to ONLY have Internet Explorer anything else was not going to work with are grade management software and other teaching tools. It's been a mess. Teachers get 1 computer with a promethean board. The teachers comouters consist of a core 2 duo and like 4 or 8 gigs of ram the multipoint servers in the lab consist of an i7 and 16gigs of ram not super bad but Photoshop runs horribly on them...

It's a 2003 E39 BMW 525i and I love it. It's in great condition, has 150k miles or so but runs super well. Been trying my best to take care of it and keep it very nice. Only non-factory items is just an upgraded radio which I wish I could have the old radio back but with bluetooth or AUX, I looked up a retrofit or two but it seemed to be a lot more money than I wanted to spend, but maybe I'll do it eventually. Also it needs a new rear auto sun shade & rear passenger side sunshade.

I'd be ok with it for the flexibility of swapping out modules maybe if it was a little thinner it'd be better but I'm tired of the whole phones need to be thinner and thinner thing and sacrificing battery life and overall specs for it.

Not an American, but as a Canadian, I just look at your election and wonder how the hell did you guys manage to put yourselves between a rock and a hard place with those two.
If I could vote, I'd vote for Hillary though. Just like 80% of Canadians apparently. Because between her and the compulsive liar that is trump, she is the better choice.

This is probably your best solution in my opinion. Get one of those and then you just need to buy a prepaid data sim card.

This is what I was thinking

    https://www.amazon.com/CTC-Tech-Portable-Power-Router/dp/B00ZWTEBV8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469830582&sr=8-1&keywords=sim+card+hotspot
You can probably find a cheaper one somewhere on amazon for like $50 or something and then after work you just go to Walmart every now and then and pickup a prepaid sim card for it. Otherwise you might be able to use one of these: https://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-WR702N-Wireless-Repeater-150Mbps/dp/B007PTCFFW/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1469830462&sr=8-9&keywords=mifi to take the ethernet from your router and make it into another wifi network, but I'm assuming your mom doesn't just shut off the wifi and night and that she actually unplugs the entire modem, so the portable Sim card router would probably work best.

Also take a look at Cradlepoints my friend has one that's completely wireless minus the power it requires from the outlet, never looked at pricing for them but I believe it's a pay as you go or limited data plan type.

Ahh that Aspire is pretty nice. I'll have to take a look pretty powerful, I was going to go with a 940m i5 based Dell but the A10 8700p actually edges it out overall except for in shader performance.

What Linus did was the responsible thing.
The chicken little types on this board who have slandering and defamed AMD because their card needed a driver fix don't deserve or rate a response less they accuse LMG of being the liars that they called AMD or even in cahoots with AMD.

Why give credence or legitimize the "Experts" here who have no background in testing ,Have done no testing and whose major accomplishment is copying and pasting and then putting their limited knowledge into an opinion that could irresponsibly and falsely damage a company and it's reputation further .

I say that of all the reviewers out there Linus has done the most responsible thing.
