Aren't both pretty much the same thing, in different form factors. Both consist of a DAC(digital to analog converter) and an amplifier, which will pretty much replace the onboard audio.

For gaming, yes. But pentiums don't support the AVX/2 instruction set if you are into that. So the i3 still has some advantages.

If you don't know what it is, you most likely don't need it. It has very specific use cases, mostly in heavily multi-threaded CPU centric loads. It is a set of instructions at a high level.

Yeah, mostly used in scientific and financial simulations. It's supposed to parallelize floating point calculations better.

Prime95 uses it too, no wonder it heats up the processor like crazy and makes otherwise stable overclocks unstable.

With Z270, you can actually set an AVX offset during overclock. Take for example 7700k. You can overclock it to 5 GHz and set the AVX offset to 0.5 GHz. What it will do is automatically run at 4.5 GHz during AVX instructions and 5 GHz otherwise.

The 6500 can maintain the max turbo without going above 55-60 degrees all day long on the stock cooler. Skylake and Kaby lake non-k i5s are super efficient.

For their prices, they should be decent enough for gaming/other workloads. They will still be clocked below 4 GHz so don't expect them to match the 6700k/7700k, but they should be great alternatives to something like 6600k/7600k and other i3/i5 processors since they will beat any i3/i5 in rendering/compilations and in general CPU workloads outside of gaming.

The 950 isn't any faster than the 850 EVOs for real world performance because the random I/O isn't that much better. So unless you are looking to boost sequential I/O, you shouldn't even bother trying it.

You can get an RX 470 or a 1060 3GB for 200$. Even a new 960 should go for less than 150$.

Shubham Yadav got a reaction from IAEInferno in DX 11 and DX 12
It's like assembly code vs higher level language. Assembly will be more efficient, you can do more things with it and it directly accesses the hardware( with the machine code below it). But it's harder to code and optimize properly.

Here, DX12 is like assembly code. Really hard to implement properly and the only game that uses decent DX12 implementation is AoTS. Meanwhile DX11 is like a normal language, which everyone is familiar with, guides are available, game engines use it and in general is less painful to make games on. You are also guaranteed a certain degree of optimization, which DX12 simply doesn't give.

All in all the conclusion is:
    DX11:
Easier Guides available online to develop and debug. Guarantees a decent degree of optimization due to already some pretty good game engines using it. DX12
Hard to do, but promises better result if you work hard enough. More drawcalls possible. Can use more cores, async compute, and in general more hardware resources because of direct access.

6400 runs at 3.3 GHz boost all day. I don't think it's that big of a bottleneck. An overclocked 6600k would be better obviously but the bottleneck should be quite small, even smaller at 1440p and higher which he should be gaming at.

Without a budget? I'd say the 'best' AIO liquid cooler would be the EKWB Predator 360.

Otherwise, the NZXT Kraken X61 and the Corsair H115i are decent choices that don't completely destroy your wallet.

Although you should really buy at least a 6GB card now.

If you can overclock it, just get a CPU cooler and OC it to 4.2 GHz instead of getting a new CPU.

    7 plus because:
Most likely will have better battery life. A10 Dat camera. System wide support for higher gamut display. Stereo speakers. iOS standby battery drain is close to zero. Updates No issues with scratches on the screen, lag No touchwiz 128 GB of NVMe goodness. This is just based on speculation from the keynote. I've been an android user for the past 5 years or so and have never tried an iPhone. I'm happy with my oneplus 3 and won't switch it for any other phone anytime soon, but between these phones, I would have to choose the 7 plus.

I used Samsung for 3 years( S4 and then S6) and both were amazing phones. But they have been slacking since the S6. Note 5, S7 and the note 7 were incremental updates with just the specs changed. They are stagnating and it shows in the products.
