  1. By itself or with the game DAC?
  2. I've had these Sennheiser g4me zero's for quite a while (Since mid 2015), but I'm finding that I'm unable to hear footsteps in games anymore where hearing footsteps is essential. Is it normal if it feels like the bass has gone? Would getting a DAC or AMP be worth getting if I can hear footsteps in games again? Or should I just get a new headset? I have an ASUS PRIME X370Pro motherboard if that helps too, although I don't believe it's an issue with the onboard sound. If I do need to get a new headset instead, I have a hard cap of $400 AUD, I'm not willing to spend more than that.
  3. I know it's not an issue with my GPU overclock (It used to have issues with some games at +110 core, but it's fine at +105/+100), but I might reset my CPU back to default/auto in the BIOS to see if that stops the random crashes. edit: Aaaaand it didn't help at all.
  4. No minidump files are created when it happens I think this is the last time I had a crash (although I had to force shut down when I tried running prime95 render a little bit later) My graphics card has a +105 core clock boost and a +100 memory boost and my CPU has an "overclock" from the EZ tuning wizard in the bios.
  5. Over the past few months, almost once a week (it seems) my PC randomly crashes on me causing my keyboard/mouse/gpu lighting to turn off and my monitors go into "no signal" mode. There's even no flashing at all from my SSD/HDD led light either, so I honestly have no idea whether it's the CPU, motherboard or even PSU that's causing this and it's quite irritating. Ryzen 7 1700 ASUS PRIME X370 PRO (BIOS Ver. 0803) EVGA superNOVA G2 650 MSI GTX 1070 2x16 Kingston Fury 3200MHz Samsung 850 evo 500GB SSD boot drive 2TB Seagate Barracuda I really don't know what to do to fix the occasional crash. on a side note: I can't get it above 3.65GHz or it'll go down to 1.35GHz. ;_;
  6. Welp, my mic on my Sennheiser Game Zero has stopped working again and I honestly don't know why. My audio drivers are up to date, the 3.5mm jacks are in the correct ports on my Prime x370 Pro motherboard. I can't test my headset on another computer at the moment, but I'll try that when I'm able to. Edit: It's not working on two other computers I tested either, they bot have the fall update too though I suspect I might have to get a new UNP PC cable. I'm thinking it had something to do with the fall update for Windows 10. It does recognise the mic in the recording tab at least anyway and the boost is at the 30dB max as well. It just doesn't pick up anything for whatever reason. Running it on a Windows 10 Home 64bit https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/TnpNKZ Bios version 0805 edit: Managed to fix it by just unplugging the UNP PC cable from the headset (well accidentally ripping it out when I went to get up from my chair and forgetting to put my headset on my desk) and plugging it back in.
  7. I probably will end up getting the MSI Gaming X 8G 1070 if I do get impatient, although it's a pretty steep price at $769 AUD. And a 144HZ IPS G-sync panel being ~$849. Oh well, it'll come down in price... Hopefully... ;~;
  8. Well, I probably won't be getting a dGPU until late this year or early next year anyway, so I don't mind waiting and using the HD530 graphics at all.
  9. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/NwKYTH So... I'm almost ready to start ordering parts for my soon-to-be red themed gaming rig, which'll probably be next month. Currently on a $1600 AUD budget for parts, including headset/mouse/kb. A wireless network adapter is required as my room is a little distance away from our modem and dealing with wires is annoying. I know there really isn't any point in getting a liquid cooler, but yeah... Liquid cooling usually has better airflow. >_> No need to worry about the OS. About the monitor and GPU. I'm still undecided about the GPU since the 490 isn't far away. I'm planning on getting a 144Hz IPS Monitor, but because I'm not sure whether to get a 490 or a 1070, I have no idea whether to get an Acer XF270HU or a XB270HU. Any thoughts?
  10. Yeah, it's $115 for the 750W variant though. Well on PCPP at least.
  11. Hmm... It seems like the 650 G2 isn't available in Australia. It's either the 650 G1 aka NEX or 750 G2. ;~;
  12. I only referenced the NEX 650 since it'll probably be similar pricing to what the 650W G2 would be. It probably is cheaper than the 750W, I just don't know the exact Australian price for it. I could check other Australian sites if they have the 650W G2, but I don't have high hopes.
  13. So something more like the Seasonic Strider Gold 550W or 650W or something? The NEX 650W is ~$129 AUD, so yeah...
  14. I still need to get the OS, Monitor and KB beforehand, so I don't mind waiting a couple months longer so I can afford the 1070.
  15. Would the G2 650W be comparable to the superNOVA Nex 650W in terms of pricing? Yes I realize the NEX is a really bad Tier 6 PSU.
