  1. I had MWB for a little while now and this is the first issue I experienced ever. I searched for the fix and I tried the first official MWB article on the topic and it fixed it right away... Mine specifically was when it was trying to start web protection. Every other protection service worked fine except for Web. It would say 'starting protection...' or something along those lines and I could watch my page file increase higher and higher. Exit MWB and it dropped immediately. My ram did not move much, strange.... but my page file increased to over 16GB. I even set manual values in virtual memory settings and it just ignored it. I got to around 25-30Gb page-file then my computer locked up.
  2. 3hrs and no replies.... is this thing still on? I'm quite happy for AMD. Was very excite when they launched Ryzen for the competitive performance but was a little disappointed when they fell slightly short on the graphics end. Nothing I experienced myself, I'm sure VEGA holds up just fine for the average gamer. But in all I cant wait to see what the future holds for AMD with this acquisition! I cant really comment on the law suit tho, I didn't follow that. shame on me Probably the only reason why I'm posting is because its a first for being first. However I don't have a clever inb4 saying..... wish I was a clever fellow
  3. I thought the K,M,B were the powers of 10, and the differences came from whether you were referring to bits or Bytes. I didn't know about the MiB and KiB until just now... This website explain what I always thought, but i now see what aluminum tech was saying in other various articles. Link: https://kb.iu.edu/d/ackw " A kilobyte (KB) is 1,024 bytes, not one thousand bytes as might be expected, because computers use binary (base two) math, instead of a decimal (base ten) system. " They acknowledge the base 10 system, but then say oh but because computers use base 2, we use 1024, etc... I do see both sides in various articles, but it seems to come down to what @Princess Cadence said. Convenience? for me it was very convenient..... But wrong In the end would it technically matter? I know the facts are the facts and all, but i thought it was confusing enough converting back and fourth between bits and bytes depending on what you were dealing with. Let alone that all of this was a lie and now I see what a Mib and Kib is... I thought i was just fine until now I know this is not accurate as this is what this post is about, i'm just showing you what websites are claiming if the average person were to look this up..
  4. How do you mean? I dont know Todd Howard:/ shame on me. haha. Does he do everything he can to make people buy it or something But if i can keep modding it and my kids love it, then sure i don't see why not:) Value is relative to what you enjoy playing. If they kept MW2 around and didn't let it go to hack heaven, then id probably still be running around in that game too!
  5. I think it depends on the game. I'm in and out of GTA V for maybe a few hours at a time over a month..... HOWEVER, I'm on my *countless* Skyrim profile on countless hours.. What year did that come out again? Oh and i bought it for PS3 first. Then Bought it for PC..... Even starting the clock at reaching the grey beards *first hour or so* I still play she shit out of this game probably more than any other game besides LoL (league of legends). I literally "WASTED" *pun intended* $60 or however much it was on GTA V based off my playing time. Your welcome rockstar But yet getting my moneys worth 10 fold on Skyrim.... EVEN when I bought it twice and not including the same first hour of gameplay... lol The second purchase for PC was on steam sale but i was getting it anyways..... Its the quality of the game and how much ones likes to play that style or type of game that makes it worth it. Its partially up to the devs to fit that certain style that gravitates their fans to that game. Bethesda kinda did that to me. I don't care what game trailer it is, if i see "Bethesda" in it, I try to look into it to see what its all about because i might like it. I also own Fallout3 for PS3 and PC and fallout 4 for PC and can always go back to those games and get another 8-10 hours in easy.
  6. I remember when they were filming WAN show from linus's garage. Your right, some things do change. But as you said before, he has grown a lot by investing more in his company, video content, video hardware, to make better videos.
  7. Right! It could be for publicity, but i agree. If they could have researched what users had the phones explode and ship one to their house in a present box from Samsung. One guy looking down looks like he could have already opened it playing on it and everyone is like "selfie!!!!" lol
  8. I forced the update yesterday for a Lenovo E560 and a custom Desktop computer and so far so good. Laptop: E560, i5, SSD, Bitlocker, TPM, all the works and it seems okay so far. I Updated my system before I updated. Lenovo TVSU and manual updates. Wanted to make sure this was done correctly... Work related, Office, Notepad++, wireshark. Very minimal installs. Desktop: Ryzen 5 non-x, Tomhawk arctic B350 (one of the later BIOS, but NOT the latest, latest), r9 290 pretty recent update, maybe Aug. and a few SSD's of different manufacturers. Last set of searching and manual updates was around august? end of Sep. so i have the latest bios until then. This is personal rig so i was not crazy about all the updates and making sure it went smooth, i just did the update when it came out and i am okay so far. Fun stuff like: Steelseries app, Steam, Origin, Battle.net, VirtualBox, Libre Office, etc... Just giving a quick rundown of what I have installed when I did the update and so far so good:) If I use any of the mentioned applications and there are any issues I will post back if anyone cares But my two systems seems fine today and i use them both almost constantly between work and play.
  9. Just doing a quick search I see a boost clocks listed, so your probably right, thanks:) So the normal cards would being limited and the founders edition wouldn't. I guess they would really make the difference since everyone seemed to scratch their head at the FE. Unless there is another reason that I am unaware of other then what you said. looks edgy.
  10. ~First time for first! If it is locked, I'm curious to see launch day with it lined up with the rest of the cards when they are O.C.
  11. If it is the original windows 10, I thought they were ending support for that. Hurry my friend! https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/844769-microsoft-officially-discontinues-support-for-windows-10-november-2015-update/ Do get any UI issues or search issues? That's the only issues I face when I need to update to the "creators" on various computers. Sweet, thanks!
  12. I wonder if this will bring more telemetry that we will have to turn off. Or hack to turn off. lol
  13. I don't go that crazy, but I have my DPI toggle switch on ~3800 and ~4300. Very rarely would I lower it for LAN parties or long stretches of a very specific game. Other than that I can deal with a few games being ~10% less accurate while being comfortable and quick in others. And I can blast through windows OS from dealing with it all my life. I almost have the cursor ready before the windows is up. lol makes me feel like a cool hacker kid. *click, click, click, click, click* *bam, bam, bam, bam*
  14. Your right, i never thought of it like that. The better Netflix does and the more spite TV people have towards them, could also mean the more they raise their prices and cause Netflix to do the same.. I hope the investments in Netflix original content pays off soon before more TV stations start pulling their shows or movies or whatever... Great point.
