  1. Desktop prices seem to be same with equivalent laptops. Yeah you get like 15% or more performance out of it but why not have a monitor + portability for the same price ?
  2. Hey guys, how are you? To start with i am well aware that 1060 beats 980m in most cases and it runs cooler. But what if the deal was too good? Considering the price range of 1000-1100 pounds which you can barely get a 1060 3gb variant with i5 some companies selling their stocks with i7-6820hk. Here is a good example: https://www.scan.co.uk/products/156-3xs-lg15-vengeance-g-sync-gtx-980m-overclocked-core-i7-6820hk-16gb-ddr4-240gb-ssd-1tb-hdd-win-10 and closest rival from the same website: https://www.scan.co.uk/products/156-msi-ge62vr-6rf-048-apache-pro-fhd-i7-6700hq-6gb-gtx-1060-8gb-ddr4-128gb-m2-sata-ssdplus1tb-hdd-d Ps: I am about to drop some serious cash on a custom build gtx 1070 laptop but it hurts to spend so much money in one go
  3. I was considering to buy a Sennheiser Urbanite XL from UK outlet, 80/90 pounds, for awhile now. I have listened to over-ear urbanites and liked the sound. However, i have been endlessly recommended M50x and after trying them thought to give M40x a shot. The sound is clearly more accurate but less fun. On normal conditions, i would pick Urbanite XL over M40x/50x as I am not doing any sound critical work, just planning to enjoy good music + they are usually more expensive than both cans and to get them for only 80/90 quid is a good deal. But how reliable are the outlet items? should i risk outlet purchase of XLs or get M40x for 10 quid cheaper?
  4. I recently discovered this deal. Not sure how long will it stand but seems like a good one. I might even get it myself. Predator 15 Gaming Notebook | G9-593 + Predator Gaming: Utility Backpack + Headset + Mouse + Mousepad Windows 10 Home 64-bit Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ processor 2.60 GHz 39.6 cm (15.6") Full HD (1920 x 1080) 16:9 16 GB, DDR4 SDRAM 1 TB HDD + 128 GB SSD Nvidia® GeForce® GTX 1070 with 8 GB Dedicated Memory Original Price: 1699 Mouse is Steel Series Rival Headset is SteelSeries as well (200 something) https://uk-store.acer.com/predator-15-gaming-notebook-g9-593-np-bag1a-220-predator-gaming-headset-mouse-mousepad-1
  5. Custom Laptops? I am pretty sure you can rock a i7 + 1060 + 1tb hdd + 128gb m.2 within 1100/1200 euros range
  6. Are Ryzen laptops even coming in 2017? And there should be some Asus/Msi options on amazon with i5 and gtx 1060 around 1100euros
  7. Get anything that has a decent light meter and mint condition. I got a shiny Pentax P30t + 50mm 1.7 for 24 pounds, Pentax k1000 for 27 pounds and Yashica rangefinder style camera (not sure of the model) for 16 at ebay. Nikon F3, Canon AE1, Pentax Mx/Me super and olympus OM-2 are among the best you can get.(Imho)
  8. On normal conditions, i would never even look such a "laptop" but the price was extremely interesting. Also, my biggest dream to own a desktop however due to flying too often and not having a house (i am poor with great friends) such cost alternative yet bulky tech doesn't work for me.
  9. At 750 pounds and that specs (4 m.2) i thought it would be a desktop pc with a monitor attached. Apparently, the reason they were going so low was unstable bios updates related to win10? And by the time i am writing this 2 remaining units already sold. I could have get this + a small ultrabook + dedicated monitor for photography and still be cheaper than some gtx 1060 laptops
  10. I recently found a brand new MSI gigantitator , brand new and comes with 980m sli.... and costs less than 800 pounds!!!! I was eyeing on few cheap 1060 laptops recently but the price of this item is too good. I will use it as desktop since this laptop is way too big to be called laptop but do you guys think i should get sli 980m at 800 pounds or 1060 laptops around 1000 pounds (i will get a small ultra book with leftovers.)
  11. After 2 hours waiting for the live chat: Dimensions: 385 x 267 x 30,3... weight 5,6lb
  12. Watching 4k content, Editing Photos and Videos are great with 4K monitors. But gaming and everyday use + battery drain is a huge compromise for the everyday user. 3k 1600p panels looks promising with much better fps when gaming.
  13. Hey all, I am looking to buy this laptop, pretty much with full specs. However, there seems to be not enough information/review of the particular unit. I was not able to find any photos of interior or reliable info about the dimensions. Chassis seems like an Alienware hybrid than Clevo. In addition, to that, i saw very mixed reviews about the brand. Have anyone had experience with them before? Edit: what is the difference between 700,500,300..etc? Thanks
  14. Some monitors actually support build in profiles. Not sure about this laptop though. And Spyders are always on good discounts at amazon.
