  1. Hey guys, i'm thinking of getting the corsair hs70 headset and just out of curiousity i wanted to ask if its possible to connect it to your smartphone? I know it does not have a cable or bluetooth but is it possible to connect the usb receiver with your phone via a usb otg adapter. Of course i mean working sound and mic. it would be nice if someone that owns one could try it out.
  2. OK nice I will try that out . So it can be used via app or smart speaker if its supported.
  3. So I cut open a USB cable and solder the part from the Dock to the inputs and then the part from the light Dock to the output? Do I need anything more or can I then start it with my phone?
  4. Hey guys, I'm thinking about what to do with a Product i got. The Product is a dock for my Nintendo switch dock that has changable plates that are light up by leds. Well the product does what its intented to do but as lazy as I am I always have to walk up to my dock to power it on or off by pressing a button and I want to change that. It gets powered on via a micro usb->usb 2.0 cable. So i have it connected to the usb Port on my Nintendo switch dock. Now my question is if there is a Product to remotely cut the power that goes from the switch dock to the light dock? My thought was that I would have a remote control or just a switch that would allow me to cut the power that goes to the light dock. The ideal way for me would be to always have power to the original dock and have some sort of remote interception between the orig. dock and the light up dock. It seems unnecessary but its really annoying to turn it off at daytime or when i leave and turn it on at evening. Maybe someone has an idea what I could do.
  5. Hey guys, my old tablet (Galaxy tab2) dosen't really work that great after I spilled some hot tea over it. Occasionally freezes where I need to wait until it runs out of power. So I was looking for a new tablet, not too expensive but also solid quality. I was first looking for a 100€ tablet but I could also afford one around 150€. So I hope I can get some advice here. What I think is important for me: - watching Videos for longer trips(so sd card slot is important) - not too big (7-8") - clean android or custom rom support - decent power for gaming - battery life Looking forward to advice Thx
  6. Thanks for the replys. I think I will go with the WD blue 3tb.
  7. Hey guys, I am in need of a new Harddrive and decided to go with something like 3TB prefered. But there problem is now which one. I want to use it primary as storge for my games (steam libary ). Maybe some other Media too. What I found to be the best solution would be WD Black drives. As far as I know I should look for 7200rpm and reliability. But to be honest. They are a bit too expensive with about 160€ where I see others for half the price. I know quality costs more but are there good alternatives for primary gaming? I see Seagate or Toshiba drive around 90€ with 7200rpm and 64mb cache but I hear they are bad in the long run as they fail after maybe 2 years. Would a 3TB WD Blue 5400rpm 64 mb cache lack for gaming? I have a Asus z170 pro gaming as a motherboard. Thanks in advance.
  8. Yeah, a backup was one of the things I thought about. I read somewhere that changing the motherboard would deactivate my license. I think Linus mentioned DDU in a Video in the last couple months but the name just wouldn't come to mind and searching for it ...no point. Thanks for the advice
  9. Since I will be overclocking the i5 to around 4,6 ghz there will be a bigger difference to the 2600. But that wasn't really my question.
  10. Hey guys, I will be upgrading my PC in a few days. New graphics card comes tomorrow, the rest propably on tuesday. I will only be keeping my Storage Drives for the new PC. 1 SSD with windows7 and some app+games and 2 HDDs for mass storage. Now how should I upgrade? Waiting for all parts to get? Or maybe I could already uninstall old graphic drivers and install new one as soon as my gpu comes. I will be switching from g560ti to r9 390. Then when my new cpu+mainboard arrives put the storage drives and new gpu on it. Do I need to update the bios? I read that "Driver Sweeper from Guru3d" could be used. Would you recommend it or maybe another programm. I want the upgrade to be as smooth as possible so I hope to get some adivce which steps I should take. Quick list of parts I will upgrade i7 2600-->i5 6600k old mainboard--> asus z170 pro gaming gtx 560ti -->msi r9 390 And ofc cpu cooler, ram, psu and case Thanks
  11. As fast as ever =D Thanks, I will order my parts on friday as it seems the msi r9 390 is going to be restocked then again. Hype intensifies^^
  12. Hello again senpai, sorry for bothering you but I am unsure about the case+cpu cooler. There seems so little space left between cooler and case. The nanoxia deep silence 3 allows cpu coolers up to 165mm and the dark rock 3 is 160mm. Since there is sound dampening material im unsure if it fits. And would the cooler cover the ram slots on a "Asus Z170 Pro Gaming"(decided on that) I want to order my stuff these days and I dont want to get frustrated over space issues.
  13. PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/hp3C23 Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/hp3C23/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($233.99 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($24.44 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: MSI Z170A TOMAHAWK ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($64.49 @ Newegg) Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 390 8GB Video Card ($329.98 @ SuperBiiz) Case: Nanoxia Deep Silence 3 ATX Mid Tower Case ($92.66 @ Amazon) Power Supply: Corsair RMx 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($79.99 @ Newegg) Total: $825.55 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-04-18 14:16 EDT-0400 That would be the parts i was planing on getting.
  14. As I was looking up all my parts to order I was a little confused over 2 parts. The case and a cpu Cooler. For the Case I want a "Nanoxia Deep Silence 3 gedämmt Midi Tower(70€)". It looks great and simple+ it has a good noise isolation as far as I can tell. For the CPU cooler I thought about the "Cooler master hyper 112 evo tower cooler (30€)". On most formus they say its great for a i5-6600k but does it cool it enough if I oc it to 4,6ghz? 4,6 would be the max i will use I think. And ofc it needs to fit into the case. And it should not cover ram slots from the "MSI Z170A TOMAHAWK Intel Z170 So.1151 Dual Channel DDR4 ATX" I would be at around 957€ with all the stuff. 1000€ would be my limit. Is all the stuff good enough or should I upgrade something to reach the 1000 limit. Hard drives + Ssd are not needed as I have them already. Thanks for all the help already ;D
  15. OK, I guess better safe than sorry later.http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/650-Watt-Corsair-RMx-Series-Modular-80--Gold_1015136.html lol didnt mean to send just yet. This is the first one you recommended me right? I didnt really wanted to send it with a link because i dont know if that alright.
  16. Well they are not exactly cheaper. Would something like a "650 Watt Corsair CS Series Modular 80+ Gold(88,85€@Mindfactory)" or "630 Watt be quiet! Pure Power L8 CM Modular 80+ Bronze(80,79€@Mindfactory)" work? Under 100€
  17. One last thing. For a new power supply, can you recommend something cheaper? Semi modular or non modular. I will get a case with enogh backspace for cable management. I am not sure what cables I need. Other then the Cpu, MB and Gpu I have 2 HDDs, 1SSD and a couple fans to power. Is 650W more than enough? And I found a new MB, the "MSI Z170A TOMAHAWK Intel Z170 So.1151 Dual Channel DDR4 ATX ". They have a 20€ Cashback offer. + it loos great with the msi 390.
  18. OK Here is what I decided on I think. CPU: I5-6600k MB: ASRock Z170 Pro4S Intel Z170 So.1151 Dual Channel DDR4 ATX GPU: R9 390 (Not sure which Modell. Are there some I should definitly not buy?? The MSI one seems pretty popular but there are some about 30-40€ cheaper.) Memory: 16GB HyperX FURY schwarz DDR4-2666 DIMM or 16GB G.Skill RipJaws V schwarz DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16 Dual Kit (Is hyperx fury better even tho it has lower frequency?) Cpu cooler: be quiet! Shadow Rock 2 Tower Cooler The mb may change if I find something in sale thats better. How far would this setup bring me in form of 1080p to 4k gaming?
  19. Hey guys, I am planing to build a new Pc and need mostly all parts new ssd, hard drives I think. For my gpu I will decide either on a gtx 970 or a r9 390(x) X if there is a good price. Now my current cpu is the i7 2600. I have 8,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MH should I get something new here? And my power supply is a jersey cp4-520-v2.0. Could I keep this one? Now for the main point. I was planing to get either a i5-4690k or a i5-6600k. Therefore I would need a z97 or z107 mainboard right? Used Cpus are no option where I live. I only found people that sell complete computers and a overclockable cpu is safer to buy new I think. Of course nobody thats sells cpus ever overclocked them... Now both Cpus are priced the same if im correct. 4690k at about 230€ and so is the 6600k. So I tend to go with the newer cpu but then there is the mb and memory. With mainboards there is more of a price range between z97 and z107. And memory? No clue tbh. I want to use ddr3 since ddr4 is not doing much. I dont need many features for the mb. I just want to oc my cpu and gpu. If possible I want the mb to be under oder slightly above 100€. I want to buy a gpu first and 1 month later or so the cpu +mb + memory. A better cooler would also be necessary right? I thought the 970 would be better but maybe the raw power of the r9 390 would beneffit me more if my cpu is beefy enough. I hope you guys can help me decide. Deciding on new parts is always hard for me
  20. OK so I think i will get myself a 970. OC would be great so the Gigabyte one sounds good. How is the noise under load? And my current MB has no OC option. I was thinking 150€ for a CPU in about 2 or 3 months, then I would need a overclockable motherboard? which I am the most unsure what to get. Can I only oc the gpu if the MB supports it? What I found in the price range was a i5-4460@ 3,2ghz. How big is the difference in performance if I would get lets say a i5-6600k@3,5ghz. The 4460 is about 170€ and the 6600k is about 240€. I think 70 bucks difference is a lot but if the motherboards would be in the same price range for 1150 and 1151 boards I think the 240€ option is kinda hard to swallow but still possible. Any other recommendations that are cheaper with great performance are much appreaciated. I'm just not that good informed on pc hardware these days so I still need some help. Thanks
  21. Thanks for the replies. So if i get a gtx 970 I should be good to go for modern titles right? Would 45-65 fps with high setting 1080p be right? Or maybe even more than 60?. In the video he said ram could also make a difference. Should i go up to 16gb(old 8gb+new 8gb) ? For used parts i am not sure if i have much to choose. Maybe i dont know good websites. Do we maybe have some good topics for buying used parts in germany? As for a cpu upgrade in the future do you have any recommendations or should this go in cpu topic? Thanks
  22. Hey guys, this will be my first post so don't shoot me if I make a mistake So, I started to save some cash for a new gaming system since my old buddy was already at its limits with 2015 games depending on the settings. Here the specs: CPU: i7.2600 @3,4ghz Gpu: Gtx 560ti 4gb MB: not sure Ram: 8gb ddr3 Its components should be all these of the Acer Predator g3610 I got it from a friend and it did a great job. So since I want a satisfying gaming experience with modern titles I need to step things up. I dont need high end gaming hardware but want good 1080p experience, maybe more? My question now is if my PC would let me play modern games if I update a new graphic card first, then if I save some more change the rest of the old hardware. For a new gpu I thought about 300€+-20€ to spend on. Or is there no point in updating piece after piece. What I found at that price range was some gtx 970s or a Asus Readon R9 390 DC3OC (dont know what dc3oc means) Some help would be much appreciated. grammar mistakes if found are there on purpose to give trolls some food
