  9. Yes you do have stereo now, but not a very good one. you cant compare that phillips to a quality stereo setup. You just get better sound quality for the money if you go stereo, but if 5.1 is what you want go for it
  10. As SSL said, go for a stereo setup Finde a used quality stereo amp like NAD, Denon, Cambridge or so, 40w at 8ohm plus, and a pair of good bookshelf speakers.
