  1. Wow! Thanks so much! I would have never though that could be the issue. I am currently using only HDMI. Simple questions: How am I gonna be able to switch resolution with only a dummy display? Shall I buy a 4k dummy so it automatically sets up the Default Display to 4k? I'm a bit lost here. I've found this one: https://www.amazon.es/FUERAN-Plug-Virtual-Adaptador-3840x2160-60-3840x2160/dp/B0C174243H/ref=sr_1_8?crid=1AXDM5QZ2HRJX&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.S87P9WD7Gsebhebvpc7U_IEfX0Mf3vavqNLaB7O5Ycou7sF47nOTa0K4_Gw5-tpZfHcRDmsF0zjcoqum2X0xHABIKmRMIuqsldpxfjW_MsYTTrVAnh2dNXqCnLdBQxKbELFP7kx8ybDo0QHzRkdQ9_aDuZK2okw9fUifTywzaMRgIfXzn4lGcnGE1uroO_J7t2CXG0WwKHC_jBnLJ1jZKBhhC1RjJ1mJcMq4dWLJ4uhZ_W3eWaAwleCbkjccx71J0MPtOW6qOMDy_-Y7wIn-EXxvoFbc_NEmitxPbogw74I.QlwsmgDhZjzB2wAZ3zlFbbGBL5JdT98e0_eluqXN8pk&dib_tag=se&keywords=hdmi%2Bdummy%2B4k&qid=1708121825&sprefix=hdmi%2Bdumy%2B4%2Caps%2C79&sr=8-8&th=1 Then I found somewere else that there are virtual display drivers tha basically do the same trick without the need of a dummy connector? Thanks again!
  2. Hi everyone, I'm encountering a frustrating issue in Windows 11 where my windows resize abnormally after my screen turns off. Here's what happens: I have my power settings configured to turn off the display after 1 minute of inactivity (to protect my OLED LG C2 screen). When I move the mouse to wake the screen, all open windows have shrunk or changed size significantly. I then need to manually resize my browsers and other applications. Does anyone have a solution or know why this might be happening? System details: Windows 11 (fully updated) GeForce 4090 (latest drivers 551.52) Thanks for any help you can offer!
  3. No, I’ll be returing it to Amazon.
  4. You know what? After researching a bit and reading your comment I decided to switch to the 5000D and buy 4 LL120mm fans. GamingNexus also compared them and yes, the airflow has lower temps Let’s hope Amazon can cancel my order or I’ll end up with two cases at home next monday. And about the firmware you are 100% right. I am an update freak everything in my rig is always updated to the day, BIOS, Firmware, Drivers… And I was aware about the 990 Pro firwarw issue, luckily I was able to update it brand new
  5. I already have the drives, so I’m recicling them. G903 is amazing. Have you tried? And no, I’m not doing eSports korean championships.
  6. Exactly. front, 3 120mm fans intake, rear a 120mm exhaust, and AIO 320mm 3fans top exhaust.
  7. The 5000x should have a good airflow, (the AIO will be positioned at the top in exhaust mode) and yes, I like the looks + the LCD, performance should be ok as the 7800X3D isn’t that hot. and by the burn in, I am very careful! The task bar automatically hides, the wallpaper is solid black, and I use the hideicons app to have all desktop empty
  8. Thanks! Will post the building process!
  9. Budget (including currency): 4500€ Country: Catalonia (EU) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly Gaming, web browsing and some office workload I am pluging this beast to my LG Oled C2 42inch using HDMI 2.1 4k@120 10bit HDR with G-Sync. I’ve aleeady bought all components, but your opinion is welcome I’m aware that many things are overkill, like the PSU, and particulary the Strix 4090, but this is my hobby and I’ve been waiting a looooong time to make this investment, so, a hobby not always has to be extremely based on price/performance here the list: https://es.pcpartpicker.com/list/Nfndt7
  10. I think I'll wait to see if I can get good pricing on a 4080 Super next week. 16GB should be plenty anyway.
  11. Yeah, I never fully understdoo that "Infinity Fabric Ratio" thing. I already have the Memory, but I guess I could "underclock" the modules to 6000 with a CL30 or even less if I can.
  12. Hi guys. I'm building a new RIG and I already have here at home the CPU, motherboard, case and PSU. Ryzen 7800X3D Asus B650E-F 32GB DDR5 Corsair 7200MHz CL34 PSU: Corsair HX1500i Case: Corsair D4000 Airflow But I'm not sure about the GPU, yet, so, maybe you guys can give me a hand here. I've been a NVIDIA user for years and I switched (temporally) to an AMD card and I had quite a bad experience with Adrenaline drivers (youtube videos loading funny, mouseover not working well when moving on top of a window with a video) WoW in DX12 not even booting, etc etc. (Never had any of this problems with a NVIDIA card) But, I also use Linux and Nvidia gives me tremendous headaches in Wayland when AMD are incredibly well supported on Linux... (My gaming under windows has top priority anyway). Thing is, next week we get the 4080 Super and I'm not sure how well it compares to the 7900XTX. Here in Catalonia (Europe) the 7900XTX sells for 1025€ including taxes, and the 4080 Super will probably go for about 1.100€ which is almost the same at this point. I don't play many Ray Tracing games, but is a "nice to have" feature, knowing that NVIDIA has a superior RayTracing performance. I play: Overwatch 2, WoW, Many indie games (Steam). Any tips? 7900XTX or 4080 Super? Thank you in advance.
  13. After all the years I've been trying to get Nvidia cards to work well on Wayland and other issues I had to update the proprietary drivers I can mostly say that if you plan on using linux you shoul totally go AMD or Intel.
  14. I actually use it only for gaming, but when I said bench I meant Gaming in general.
  15. Hi guys, I'm replacing my 7950X to the new 7950X3D I'm getting tomorrow. (I am lucky enough to still be able to return the 7950X and I've got an amazing deal on the 3D, so, here we go) I have a quite powerful RIG, (Asus Strix X670E-E, GeForce 4090, 32GB DDR5 6000MHz CL30, Samsung 990Pro) all watercooled with Corsair Hi170 AIO 420mm For those interested here my RIG and the installation: Since I still have my 7950X I can easily run some specific benchmarks to see exactly the difference from the 7950X to the 3D variant. Any raccomandation to what can I test before switching and after? I accept suggestions and I will be posting the results in this thread. Thanks!
  16. Sorry, I though you were having issues only when enabling the TPM2. How did you reset your BIOS?
  17. Since you can't activate TPM 2.0, did you try going for a W10 installation?
  18. Since it has to process more color, am I gonna lose any performance in actual gaming?
  19. Hi guys, I have an OLED Monitor with HDMI 2.1 and a GeForce 40 series. From the NVIDIA Control panel I've been able to select the full RGB 12 bit at 4k and 120Hz Full Output Dynamic Range, (My display shows 12b 4L12) and I have really no clue about what does means. I've read that this is the full 48Gbps and 12bit per channel but I am extremelly confused. Can somebody please tell me the benefit of such changes I've made?
  20. You should totally be able to get audio from your graphics card, even from a usb to a female mini jack easily.
  21. Simple questions: Do you have the latest System BIOS available? Did you try to reformat and Install Windows 11 from scratch enabling UEFI, disabling Legacy and enabling Secure Boot?
  22. I bought it before this happened... So, I might send it back to Amazon... Or not. Let's see. I have a computer shop and I always build RIGs for my customer, so this time I gave myself my final present. Hi! @Skiiwee29 Yes, routing that cable is something I will do this week, hopefully is long enough. I am planning to return the CPU and get the 7950X3D when it comes out. It is... And I won't take it personally Hi, can you please elaborate? Why would you prefer negative pressure? Thanks!
  23. Hello Guys, after posting my pcpartpicker last week I've finally started to build my RIG. I still have to cable manage everything and is far from finished. Here some pics and my first result on Time Spy everything at stock. What's your opinion? Can I improve on somehing? Thank you guys!
