  1. well im sure a 4770k will do all of that fine as you can see with the chart it does great. but if you want to use a few more cores and have to buy a old bored and pay a heck of a lot more money then go for it. so if you arnt on a budget then sure. but what i think im doing is getting 4770k and waiting for the haswell E series and that will be amazing
  2. MSI is my fav i love their looks aswell as their bios. and over clocking. i dont like the gold on the Asus bords
  3. thank you guys this has helped a lot. i will look into a new case that you guys have said thnx.
  4. ok i will thanks a lot man you have help heeps. i think ill still go with haswell and ill just wait w while and ill write you name down somewhere and ill link you it. :D
  5. i really want to go wit haswell but. i didn't know that it was hard to overclock it. Linus made it sound very easy when he showed us.
  6. so you have changed you mind from what you said at the top that now i should get a 3960x
  7. yes i will over clock. and pci 3.0 sounds a little better. im not sure if my bored has pci 3.0 i would hope it would its new.
  8. yer i really dont want to use a AMD gear in this build at all. so if we were to stick to the cpu's that are out right now what would be the best from intel
  9. yes video editing mainly but maybe some games. this was what i was going to buy all together. so yes i will have a GFX card and a water cooler so those to things covered. but im building a duel boot computer with mac and win 7. so i want the new z87 to use bluetooth and wifi ac with out using up my usb slots with junk like wifi usbs. and not getting the 3960x will save a lot of money as well. i really do want the 4770k but i also want the most speed and i dont care about power usage so if i overclock my 4770k will it be better then the 3960x. and will haswell bring out a version of the 3960x with 6 cores
  10. so yer i want to see the side with the fan on it. Riser ribben < worst second worst case senario ill do this but i dont really want a ribben on the card. and i dont know if it will reduce performance. backwards case or 180 degree flip on the MObos, then you could avoid the pcb showing. However, if you can't then mount it on the top most slot <what case would i need to flip the bored 180 degrees. and what would it look like if i had the card in the top most slot?
  11. thanks for your replies guys some many good ideas i dont know witch to pic. but yes what i am doing is trying to see the fan side not the ugly pcb side. do you guys know what i should google to see what it would look like in real life if i try this out.
  12. i dont know what to get i want to try and get a Z87 motherboard but i want to run a the best cpu i can get. i could go to a old bored if you guys really think its much better to get the 3960X some websites i looked at say this but idk its very close Performance Benchmark performance using all cores Core i7 4770K 9.1 Core i7 3960X 10.0 Cinebench R11.5, Cinebench R10 32-bit, Passmark and GeekBench Single-Core Performance Individual core benchmark performance Core i7 4770K 9.9 Core i7 3960X 9.2 Cinebench R11.5 (1-core), Cinebench R10 32-bit (1-core) and 1 more Overclocking How much speed can you get out of the processor?
