  1. I plugged the cable for the power switch into the correct spot on the motherboard if thats what your asking
  2. How exactly would I go about doing that?
  3. This isn't exactly a new motherboard though (I did buy it brand new though). I just needed a decent microATX AM3+ option. The motherboard is the Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3
  4. Nothing, when I press the power button nothing happens
  5. its plugged into the wall, yes
  6. Sorry, I did not know where to post this topic. Soo I just got done upgrading a few parts in my PC (new mobo, new CPU, new PSU). I've just constructed it and it will not power on. I read in the instruction manual where the power switch plugin is on the motherboard, so I know its in the right spot. The power switch on my PSU is on too. Motherboard/CPU power is fully in, PSU plugged in. Could somebody please help?
  7. Enough WITH overclock !? Hell yeah, I think Ive found my next PSU. I wont be OCing too much, I just want to OC my 8320 to match the stock 8350. Edit: Might bump up the number of watts though.
  8. I plan to overclock my 8320 to stock 8350 speeds, should I go for 600?
  9. Thanks. (Sorry it might be a little late for a response). A few more questions (Sorry about all of the, probably stupid, questions): Is Rosewill a reliable brand for PSUs? Is the one that you have listed entry-level, or is it better than that? Also, is 550w enough for my system?
  10. Okay, then I think I'll go for TX because I can get it for roughly the same price after rebate. Thanks!
  11. Okay, thanks. Should I shoot for TX instead since my system is semi-performance grade? Or would it be fine to use an entry level PSU with performance parts?
  12. Sorry for my ignorance, but what does it mean for a PSU to be entry level? I get what that means in other areas, but not this one. AND, would it be wrong for me to use an entry-level psu in a semi-beefy system (FX-8320+770 or Maxwell)?
  13. Holy ass! the EVGA one is CHEAP. Does it hold up well against the CX600M or should I shoot for that one instead?
  14. I'll be running a system with an FX-8320, and a GTX 770 (or possibly whatever Maxwell has to offer in its place). How many watts in a PSU would I need. Could somebody recommend one? Please try to keep it less than $100. I know that may be a challenge but money is tight for me.
  15. I know that, I made an edit saying that. Did you not see it?
  16. I know I recently asked another question on this board, but I'm wondering which micro ATX motherboard to get. My budget is 60 bucks (I'll be upgrading the motherboard near the end of the year so I don't want anything TOO pricy, since this is temporary). The one Ive been looking at is this one: http://goo.gl/aIIyHF. It seems to be what I need, but is there a better alternative? EDIT: Im a moron and used the greater than symbol instead of the less than symbol in the title. Ignore that please, I want LESS THAN 60
  17. I cant seem to find an AM3+ mini-ITX motherboard, and was wondering if there even was such a thing. If there is, could somebody point me in the right direction and suggest one.
  18. I dont know man. Depends, would it REALLY be worth it for me to do so, and if so, why?
  19. 1. An old Radeon 3870 X2 (hence why I'm upgrading) 2. I play video games mostly, games like Bioshock, Metro, and Skyrim with some Battlefield and MMOs here and there.
  20. I don't know what to do. The card I want is the R9 280x, but the prices of that baby are sky-high right now and it isn't really an option. I would go with the GTX 770, but from what I've heard Maxwell is right around the corner. Should I wait for Maxwell, or would I be satisfied with a 770 for the next two years or so? OR will the price of the 280X be returning to its previous state anytime soon? Thanks EDIT: Also, if you have any other suggestions of good cards around the <$400 price range that would be great.
  21. Would that be sufficient for playing ESO? I heard that AMDs dont do so hot in MMOs Like I said to the other guy, could I happily play ESO, GW, and WoW with an AMD?
  22. I am looking for a decent CPU, preferably Intel (AMD works too, but Intel is my preference), that is $150 or less for gaming. I will mostly be playing games like Battlefield 4, Skyrim, Bioshock etc. But I will be playing MMOs like ESO and Guild Wars as well. I will probably be pairing this with an R9 280X (or whatever the Nvidia equivalent of that is, I'm waiting for Maxwell though). Thanks!
  23. Okay, could you direct me to where I could find these pre-builts? Also, out of curiosity, why do you recommend against a DIY?
