I have the privilege of actually working for an ISP so I believe that I can a very unique invite into the going's-on of this. My conclusion in short: Frontier is lying to you. Wow, no surprise there and definitely not unique among this thread, but I am right about this being BS for more reasons. If you have questions about the process and the justification for prices and charges like these, please feel free to reply so I can confer my knowledge. I just don't feel like vomiting everything into a single post.

positivePXL reacted to YongKang in NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1180 PCB: more power, new SLI finger
Since there's a rumor going with Nvidia releasing their new GTX1180 at Gamescom, now, there've been a new leak of the GTX1180 PCB from Chiphell (spotted by Tweaktown)

The new SLI finger should be a key interest here, especially since Asus and Acer are pushing their 4K 144Hz G-sync panels and 65" 120 big display. Does it mean we gonna see much better SLI scaling from now on, or even a single 1180 will be able to push 60+ FPS at 4K no problemo?

Food for thoughts. Actually, the new GPU could be named 2080 since Nvidia is celebrating at Gamescom on 20/8. Hmmm... *tin foil hat*

positivePXL reacted to emosun in Most Graphics Cards have just become (kind of) Obsolete thanks to Direct X 12 Ray Tracing Extension and Nvidia RTX with GameWorks 2.0
Also keep in mind it took almost 9 years for the 2004 era Xenos gpu in the xbox 360 to be replaced by its successor. So ray tracing is a long ass way from being mainstream

Were people really complaining about the pace of EKs product releases? Granted I'm not on the bleeding edge of technology but it seems like they have been doing well and keeping up fairly well with all the new components that are coming out. Seems a bit extreme to me.

positivePXL reacted to jagdtigger in Assassins Creed Origin DRM Hammers Gamers’ CPUs
Well basically that is a false statement since nothing is stolen when you download something. And it was proven that 1 download != 1 lost sale. They just has to accept that and work on ethical methods to get people buy their game voluntarily. Until then they gonna waste their money on this big whack-a-mole game...

Funny how GoG and CDPR are getting along just fine without any DRM... Top it off there is a research commissioned by the EU that found that piracy has a positive effect in the gaming industry:

Talking with a friend, he is buying a 4790k and a GTX 970 for his computer, this weekend.
PXL: Dude, just wait for the 1070,
Friend: Nah man, I never noticed the difference between graphics cards anyways.
PXL: So you really want to play at Ultra on your 1080p display at 25fps instead of 120fps?
Friend: Wait, graphics cards effect fps. . .?

The revolutionary and visionary North Korean company: Myohyang IT, has released exclusively to the region, a new type of computational device that brings a Star Trek innovation idea into reality. More specifically, the Personal Access Data Devices, or PADDs as it is called in the TV show series and books, which is a laptop type of device that is super thin, and light with a touch screen top to bottom, without a keyboard. You type using a on screen keyboard. It allows you to have a PC like experience on this slim and handy form factor.

More specifically it features a touch optimized GUI, with the ability to watch videos on how great the country is, read The Great Leader favorite and highly recommended books, view beautiful picture depicting the wonderful vistas of the country, and the worlds best web browser ever created which is the only one that allows you to view all 25 websites that exists (This web site does not exists).

No information on the OS name exactly, but it is believed to be powered by the groundbreaking, unique, Earth shattering, and simply the best: Red Star OS

The company calls this type of new computational form factor device: Tablet Computers, and the product name in question is called: iPad.

The iPad features mighty performance under the hood to give you the best experience possible. It uses nothing else then the best science-fiction level hardware:

    now, STEAM does this naturally:

but for en-masse move, I'll still use GamePipe as STEAM seems to do individual moves not on queue - I might be wrong
