Thank you for all the replies, will definitely check it out, price point seems reasonable too
I'm not sure if the serial number will be in order number, but you can find out your order placement from the transaction number in the checkout page.
    It starts from
    MD-30891-1447xxx
Where the last 3 is your checkout number, or 8|9xxx if you are in the thousands

    I agree with this decision.

If I buy a car with my own purchasing power then it better damn well put me, the owner in priority.

I don't put too much weight on lives that don't concern me directly unfortunately, when a situation like this ever happens (doubt it, too unlikely, computers are getting faster by the second) you would resonate my words if you were the driver.

Lukiose got a reaction from RyeIII in 1070 or used 980?
Why do people think the 1070 will drop in price?

The MSRP of aftermarket cards are already a fact, an EVGA SC+ has an MSRP 420 and their FTW+ has an MSRP of 440. The FE, 449.

None of the cards will be touching 379.

As long as everybody else is still buying the 1070 at its current price there will be no price drops anytime.

When the price of the 1070 does indeed drop it's probably already time to look at other better options which will be out.

Either grab a 1070 now or look at cheaper (980ti or lower) options. For example a brand new 980ti for $390 or less would be cheap since its 10% less pricey yet performs within ±5%.

In that regard a 980 for 300 is a solid buy as well.

Lukiose got a reaction from ARikozuM in 980ti upgrade
Pretty sure a 980ti running at 1450Mhz or higher runs toe to toe, or even faster than a 1070 that has been OC'd to 2050Mhz which is the soft cap for Pascal GPUs.
The 1070 has been marketed well, but the truth shows otherwise.

The reason for this is because the Pascal architecture scales poorly, a 1700 > 2000 overclock will barely give you 1-3 FPS more compared to stock.

Lukiose got a reaction from handymanshandle in Nvidia GTX 10 Series, Who is it for?
Based on reviews the 480 is a great solo card but it seems to scale terribly in CF for some reason, to the point where 2x 480 = 1070.
So if you are at 1080p now it's probably best to just grab the cheapest RX480 you can find, and get a new card for 1440p next year.

Which card will depend on the state of the market.. If Vega turns out to be a disappointment then we will continue getting fucked by Nvidia's high prices, at this point we can only hope Vega is like AMD's 7870/7950/7970 when they were released up against the 660/670/680. The cards were so powerful and cheap that it forced Nvidia to release a 660ti to fill in a new bracket and drop prices on the 670 in order to compete.  If the same thing happens then the 1070 and 1080 will likely have minor price cuts in the future

I need a damn rx490 about right now, since I don't foresee the 1070 being sold for MSRP (379) anytime soon and I refuse to pay 450+.

This card was misleading, would have had potential as a dual 1070. Shroud looks like a (failed) attempt at a cheapo knockoff of the HOF line

Well if anything they sounded super suspicious after picking up the phone, saying things like: "no way, no way!" "You have got to be kidding me" "Some of the best drops i have ever done".
Considering the amount of times they have dropped a phone and it didn't shatter, you'd imagine that they would expect a positive result for durability - lest surprised by one.

Complete asshat rubbish. Don't try to put words in my quote or warp the literal meaning of my sentence. I do not condone the use of hacks to gain any advantage in any form of e-sports, likewise for performance enhancing drugs in real life.

Something that exists within a map and can be got to by legal means is completely different from using unauthorised, third party software that assists gameplay in any way. It was a boost spot and a really good one at that, but it did not allow a player to see through walls via; non-drawn textures, shoot through walls/textures and/or god mode. If you watched the match you would know that olofmeister took damage when Happy and shox attempted to shoot at him, forcing him to drop the spot and defend the site normally. Given a couple more rounds they would likely have completely countered the spot and know where to avoid being sniped, they simply realised it too late.

There is completely nothing stopping LDLC from buying an AWP and sniping olofmeister down from the same places that olofmeister could shoot them. You know how a normal mirror works? If they can see you, you can see them too. This applies in CS as well.

I am very sure that the boost spots in Inferno up onto the roof at CT-side middle, Banana box,
or even Dust 2, B-site over the wall to Middle, Middle over Doors and long on the car over the wall
or even Cache, Mid to A over-boxes, B-site boost onto vents, A site boost-over-crates,
OR even Nuke, 3-man boost up to Heaven from yard or 2-man with the use of bunny hop, original boost spots in ramp up onto the rails were all not accounted for during map building by respective makers, these spots are found through extensive playing and studying of the map.

Dust 2 CT-spawn box boost to short? It was placed there to prevent fall damage from jumping down short. The height of the wall at middle and B-site? It was designed at that height for proper use of grenades, not for two players to conveniently stand on top of each other to look over and take others by surprise. The slanted roof at CT-side middle Inferno that can be boosted onto? It was made for grenades. Likewise, from the screenshot, the wall that fnatic peeked over via boosting is at that height for a reason. The map maker likely intended for it to be at that height to facilitate smoke throws to sewers and middle from inside the site. And similarly with other features of other maps, it turned out to function as an unintentional boost spot. So what exactly is the problem? Someone first found out and used it at a big tournament.

So what? No rules were broken.

What makes the Overpass boost different? Yeah yeah, unintentional god spots, indeed. Every spot is a god spot when you don't know where to look and aim.

Sure, it may have seemed cheap, but was it unsportsmanship or illegal? No. They used it once, and now everybody knows about the spot. It will just be another of those known boost spots that can be utilised if given the potential but similarly countered once the player is seen or the strategy is predicted. I don't see anything wrong with that. Like i said, Overpass is a new map, teams that did their homework studying the map, knowing boost spots and over-the-top smokes deserve the knowledge they spent time to learn and what's stopping them from using the best of their ability to win a tournament?

Before you start shooting arrows saying i'm a fnatic fanboy, i support Titan and NiP, KQLY being banned for hacking is indeed truly sad, but he deserved every bit of it. I only hope Scream is drafted back to his proper spot. Being replaced by a player only to find out he's a hacker probably dealt a huge blow to him. If any team is found to have cheating players in the tournament then they deserve an immediate DQ, but this is completely reasonable and within realms of the game.

    I don't agree with this.

The spot didn't look illegal at all, honestly, it's one of those things that happen with knowledge of the map, much like other boost spots in Dust 2, Inferno and even Nuke. Overpass was a new map, fnatic found out about the boost spot ahead of competition and utilised it to it's full potential. What's wrong with that?

It does not quality as pixel-walking since the player's feet does make contact with the ledge when the model is facing the right direction. Pixel walking is more like in de_train's infamous ladder wallrun glitch where you are really running on air.
