  1. Ok, so i put another but same PSU, clean installed new drivers and all, testing it for 2 days and no crash so far, and also the gpu clocks are now different..... core 1340 / memory 1750, before it was 1150/2050. Could it be just bad amd drivers ?
  2. Nvm, just found the sticker on the side when i pulled it out, it is 580 and screws still have stickers on them.
  3. Checked with gpuz, the numberd do add up in terms of shading units TMUs and ROPs, but core clock is only 1150 tho, lower than all of them. Ill take it apart just to be sure and check the number on chip.
  4. I have my doubts from my used card i bought, Sapphire nitro 4gb, no stickers, they all look the same from the outside, but sometimes my pc freezes, im suspecting its flashed card. I know how to dissasemble it, but what am i looking for? Can't find any numbers on google that would help me indentify the card i have, can somebody help?
  5. Ok', im in a bit of a pickle here. I build a pc for my friend from used components i bought, tested it and all works. He gets it, and it freezes - hard locks in games, screen goes gray or the image goes still and audio sound is like '''EERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR'', than you have to hard-restart it. I take it home, and i can barely make it crash, and it is tottaly random! I have been trying to reproduce it crashing so i can start troubleshooting but to no avail, in the 48h i have been tourchering it has crashed only 3 times. In bf4 twice, one time in singleplayer while just standing still and starring at screen, other time in multiplayer match in a helicopter, and once in GTA5 durring first tutoriall, i have been trying to make it do again but it just wont crash! I opened multiple games and benchmarks at the same time, on 2 monitors even, and nothing! I am burning it with prime95 and Fur mark to make it hot, and it is hot now, but nothing, it wont crash! I was thinking maybe its PSU bit faulty, but since it holds up to burning stress testing..... Specs: Intel pentium g4600 (stock cooler) Sapphire nitro RX 580 4G Gigabyte ga-h110-d3a Single stick 8gb ddr4 Kingston 2400 (in hw info its Clock is constantly fluctuating around 1066,1-1067,1, is that normal?) Antec VP 500w patriot burst 120g ssd+ wd 250gb hdd 4 cheap antec molex fans from antec case, i all put them on single molex power and stack it, was thinking that was doing the problems, but i can't reproduce the crash reliably to figure that out. It only randomly crashes sometimes in games, not in benchmarks stress testing (tried all unigine benchmarks, aida64 and furmark) I allready did reinstall windows from scratch few months ago, test it it was fine, gave it to friend and than it crashes. Anyone have any idea what to do next except reinstall everything from scratch ? It looks like a software issue since hardware is holding up to stress testing. Temps are fine fine, gpu wont go above 62 and cpu above 60-70 durring haaard pushing with multiple games, only with prime95 and furmark i can get gpu to go up to 73 and cpu 95-100, with both prime and furmark running, cpu throttles to 3500/3600 from usuall 3700 when hitting 100. Also the clocks of GPU seems a little low for 580, and it is awfully COOL (my personal 580 8gb is much hotter and louder than this one) and there is bios switch on gpu its on right position performance mode and getting only 1150 core and 2050 memory. I checked the sticker and it is real 580.
  6. I would argue that R9 380 is faster than 1050 Ti, but anyway, lets say they are trading blows here and there. It's quite faster than gtx 960 & 1050. I still use MSI R9 380 2GB model, and sometimes i'm on a trigger to buy user RX 580, but really, for my 1080p 60Hz monitor and games that i play, i just don't see the need for it, even with only 2gb Vram that limits me only in a dumb game that i hate and dont even play and regret spending 20$ on (PUBG) has microstutters because it eats all the vram and since thay can't make a good game the engine can't handle it in a good way, but in every other game no problems really, im fine with medium settings. Mass effect andromeda runs fine at medium-high settings at around 60fps with no drops, but i hate that game too, all new demanding games from big publishers suck, mainly i play some strange games like rimworld dota stellaris etc that dont even need that gpu. I got Ryzen 1800x and later on when i really do feel a need for better gpu, i will pull the trigger, by then the price of used cards will be even lower. Don't be afraid of mining cards. If you like playing fancy new games on max settings and you want at least 60fps 1080p, than go get one, BUT BUY USED, trust me its fine.
  7. Nah, wont buy 6500 just because 6600k exists and its too expensive, and they are basically the same thing, but nerfed so that intel can squeeze moar money from us. Guess i'll be waiting for zen afterall. This news about cheap xeon excited me because i though it's on pair with i7, but obviously that doesnt include gaming
  8. Well that sucks. I'm also on edge of buying ebay E5-2670 but best mbo i could find is 250$ shipped to eu. But that way around for a bit more i can get newer i5 setup that has better single core performance and clock for gaming. And i care only about gaming performance, not editing videos. It's newer that easy isn't it If it was, everyone would be doing it
  9. How is your gaming experience with that xeon E5-2670 ? CPU is only around 80$ on ebay, but x79 mbo's are quite expensive for my budget, best deal i can found is 200€ for new one. Used ones on ebay are even more expensive. There are very little to none gaming benchmarks for that xeon, but it seems it's single core performance is inferior to one found in i7's, and it doesnt overclock really, thus making it not so good for gaming. So... how is your experience with it? In only 'benchmark' i could find on youtube i5 6600k was better in most games
