This is a little above your $1200 price point but it would serve your gaming needs as a very well rounded, pure gaming, 1080p PC -- https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZjLJgL

My 2016/17 Mid Gaming PC

I wouldn't go with the i5 6600K unless you are going to get a Z170 board to overclock it... -
My 2016/17 Mid Gaming PC
Watermelon_Jesus replied to IWasted10Bucks's topic in New Builds and Planning
Hey, so I wouldn't recommend getting an i7 unless you plan on doing some real intense gaming, 650W is a bit overkill for this system so I would drop down to 550W (which is still a bit much but you do have some extra wattage in case the system does go wonky on you), and I switched out your 1TB HDD and added a 2TB HDD because the extra storage won't kill ya! I also added in two sets of case fans for you to add in so your case can stay nice and cool when it's working hard. Anyways here's my modified list of your list. -- http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/rw37wV -
Hey, check this build out. Hopefully you like it. -- http://pcpartpicker.com/list/4kTKqk

I should have asked what European country you were in so I could adjust it to your country but I chose France (because I knew they adopted the Euro). I didn't find an ASUS 1080 that was water cooled so you may want to either buy a water block for the GPU or choose another GPU that has a pre-installed water block. Anyways, I hope you like the build -- http://fr.pcpartpicker.com/list/GtLQd6

This is a bit over your budget, but like the other people have said, I would recommend selling your 970 and getting a 1070. It'll suit you a lot better. Anyways, I edited your build to try to suit your wants so here ya go. -- http://pcpartpicker.com/list/Qm4Wcc

Hi, so my PC since the beginning of September has started to get blue screen errors. This week it had three blue screen errors in a row, I talked to MS Support and they were pretty much useless. I'm wanting to back up my files on my external drive so I can then reinstall Windows 10 but my PC won't recognize that I have my external device plugged into it. File Explorer and the Backup settings don't recognize it but Hardware and Devices does recognize it, what can I do to get my PC to backup files onto my external drive? Thank you for any and all help!

Hey, I saw you were wanting to build a gaming computer and saw the games you wanted to play. I wanted to make sure you could get a kick-ass computer while also not hurting the wallet too much. So here ya go -- http://pcpartpicker.com/list/CZnqHN

Making my first computer
Watermelon_Jesus replied to LinusTwerkTips's topic in New Builds and Planning
So, since this is your first computer build I'm going to guess that you don't have a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and headset. I didn't know what your budget was so I tried to be reasonable but also make sure performance is still great so here ya go. -- http://pcpartpicker.com/list/bvKMCy -
I agree that you should "spice" up the computer a bit more, get some RGB LED strips for the case, and get a case with a window to showcase it. -- http://pcpartpicker.com/list/BT4wYr

You're going to want a motherboard that can overclock if you're getting the 6600K, you're going to want to run DDR4 because it's 1. A lot faster and 2. Supported memory, you'll want a better 1070 that will also fit in your build, and you'll want a 240Gb SSD to not only have Windows installed on (if you're getting a fresh copy of it) but to have your most important applications and some games be booted up faster. -- http://pcpartpicker.com/list/KrFb2R

Any Last Minute Changes Before I Buy?
Watermelon_Jesus replied to AndyKala's topic in New Builds and Planning
If you are wanting to match everything up for RGB/Color Scheme reasons I would pick an Asus mobo and a Razer keyboard. Here's the list with those -- http://pcpartpicker.com/list/YPm3wV
