  1. If you delid you'll easily drop 20c on those temps. I had just about the same temps as yours and I don't go over 70c @ 5.1ghz now. (They were easily over 90c before) http://imgur.com/a/5WZpC Temps are using x264 16T stress test for 9 hours. Temps are the same for Prime95 as well. I bought a 3d printed delid tool for $10 off ebay, and liquid metal off amazon for $10. Took like 5 minutes Just be careful and read/watch several different tutorials before hand.
  2. Steelseries QCK or Pc GamingRace both make mouse pads of several sizes and are both very good. Relatively cheap as well, compared to other brands.
  3. Get a mouse with a lower lift of distance, most FPS mice barely move at all when you lift them up. My G Pro has been serving me well. It tracks up to around 1 cd thickness above my pad, so there's barely any travel when lifting to go back to center.
  4. I've got everything disabled already, and I disabled realtek's plug in detection and it still does it.
  5. I've been having this weird inconsistent microphone problem for the last couple of weeks on my new rig. I'm using the onboard audio from my MSI z97 gaming 5 Using a pair of ATH-M50x's with a Mod mic attached on the side. The microphone works and is pretty good, I just can't get this driver issue figured out. I've uninstalled/reinstalled several different versions. The microphone will just stop working. It'll detect that I have one plugged in, but it ignores sound from it. I downloaded the Realtek drivers from MSI's website, and a few different versions and I just can't get it to *stay* working. It'll work for hours at a time and I'll be talking on Teamspeak and end up talking to myself. Anyone have this issue before/know how to fix it?
  6. You say unplayable, but there are millions of people who play it. I have a gaming PC as well as a PS4. If I want to lay down in bed and relax I'll grab my PS4 controller. But when I feel like playing CS:GO or Archeage/GW2 any other pc game I go sit at my desk. Sure I can hook a PC up to my TV and use a controller, but it's not the same. Consoles are convenient, and require little to no knowledge to set-up and play.
  7. I prefer CS:GO for the more competitive scene. But I prefer playing casual CoD with friends sitting on the couch. Two completely different types of games. Also, when I play CS:GO I get pooped on, so sometimes playing CoD helps raise my self esteem.
  8. I had a problem in Minecraft where my CPU would just sit at idle clock speeds. Think I had power saver on for Windows, or something stupid like that.
  9. When has that ever happened? Having a pipe bomb go off in your city, and you being a suspect they can look at your web history... Oh, this guys been trying to make pipe bombs online lets ask him what he's been up to. Is a more realistic way of it going down. It's not like they just pull random people and arrest them for looking up how to make a pipe bomb. So far the only thing they've done is protect us. The only thing people are afraid of is when they take it the next step and start arresting you for things you're going to do. (Minority Report)
  10. They'll all perform basically the same. Just get the one you prefer the looks of.
  11. Those numbers are ridiculous for Haswell, I find it hard to believe unless it's water cooled. 65C while gaming seems to be generally accepted as good with them. You must have gotten a lucky chip... OP. When overclocking Haswell, people normally shoot for <90C while stress testing. As long as you're keeping staying below that you should be good. Use this guide for reference. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/41234-intel-haswell-4670k-4770k-overclocking-guide/
  12. I set the cache ratio to be the same as the clock, maybe .1 less. It normally requires less voltage also, mine takes .05 less. I'm running my 4670k at 1.25V at 4.5Ghz, cache is also 4.5Ghz with a voltage of 1.2. Voltage on Adaptive. Max temps around 85C with a 212 evo, using Intel Extreme test
