  1. I was just wondering tonight, what would you use your tablet for ? I mean, I don't have one right now, and I'm not planning on buying one, because I find this pretty much useless :/ I kind of see why it is useful for some persons that are constantly travelling, but for others, and at home ? Just explain it to me, I don't get it
  2. Thanks for the answer and the precision about cables and their signal :D You guys rock o/
  3. Nop, something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Importer520-Plated-Female-DVI-D-Adaptor/dp/B0035B4LJM/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1373570762&sr=1-4&keywords=hdmi+dvi I should really learn more about cables... Thanks for the fast answer :D
  4. Hi ! :D Very pleased to be on that forum ! I'll start to help soon, but first, I have a question: Today I bought a monitor on the internet, with a VGA and a DVI input. I already have a monitor that have 1 VGA and 1 DVI input, and of course I plugged it with a DVI cable. The problem is that I have 1 DVI, 1 HDMI, 1 DP and 2 Mini DP outputs on my graphics card. I planned to use the HDMI output, so I also bought a DVI/ HDMI adapter: DVI male and HDMI female. My question is; can I put the DVI side of the adapter plugged in my monitor, and the HDMI cable on the other side, going to my graphics card ? I mean, I don't know how these outputs and cables are working, so I don't know if it works both ways o/ Thanks for reading me :D
  5. Hi, Just a little question there: Can you just game on Firepros and Quadros Graphics cards ? I'd like to have some personal experience... Will they be as powerful as Radeon HDs ou Geforce GTXs ? I think I'm going to buy an AMD Firepro v4900, I'm doing mostly 3D renderings, video editing and after effects work... And a little bit of gaming. Thank you !
  6. Hi, Lenovo announced a new gaming pc at CES. What do you think about it ? Here's a quick view: http://www.neowin.net/news/lenovo-announces-the-erazer-x700-gaming-pc-desktop Personnally, I think it's going the same way as Alienware does. The interior of the machine seems to be a little bit ugly, but the global design is interesting. Do you think pre-made gaming pc are usefull and great-priced ?
  7. In fact, I juste realized that my mb wasn't even compatible with 8-cores processors (don't ask me how, I don't know.) So I'm just going with the FX-6300, and the next time I'll need more CPU power, I'll go the Intel side [or just stay if AMD release something great :D] Thanks all for your answers ! [EDIT]: Crowcore, t'es français ? ^^
  8. Alright, I can't neither afford an intel core i5 3470, nor an i7 3770K... So, the question isn't the same: will the FX-6300 be better than a cheaper core i3 3220 or i3 2120 ? Thanks again all ^^
  9. Thanks all for your answers :) Well, I already have an AM3 CPU with a super cheap mobo, so I think yeah I'm going to upgrade everything. My GPU is a Radeon HD 7770 [sapphire] so yeah it will bottleneck an intel core i5... Also, I can only spend about 250$ max [That means 190€ approx., and I heard that when you buy something over 100€ (130$ ~) at the international, taxes are applied right when you recieve the package... So buying stuff at NCIX would'nt be great anymore :( ] and my case is a FD core 1000 (Micro ATX only). Right, maybe a core i5 3470 and an Asus P8H61-M mobo would be great ?
  10. Hello everyone :D Just a little question; I'm going to upgrade my CPU (actually it's an Athlon II x3 450...) and I hesitate between an FX-6300 or an FX-4300... I mostly use my pc for gaming (Metro 2033, Trine 2, Battlefield 3, Skyrim, etc...), and I often record my game sessions with fraps (a little bit CPU-demanding, so ). I also do some 3D renderings, for now with Cinema 4D, and I do some post-production with After Effects, that kind of thing. Do I really need these "extras" 2 cores in the FX-6300 ? I mean, would I see a huge benefit between these two processors ? Thanks for reading, and for future answers ! [sorry for my crappy english, I'm french D: ]
