Yes, and your point is? I picked fireman because it is a very male dominated job (just like booth bages are a very female dominated job). You aren't going to make an argument that it's sexist that barely any women are firemen, are you? Men and women aren't 100% equal in every way so some jobs suits different genders more. For example men are usually better than women at being firemen, because it requires good physice which men have a lot easier to achive, because we are genetically made to be stronger. Women are more suited for booth babes because most customers are male and as males we are genetically programmed to gravitate towards attractive females.
 
If most customers of computer hardware were females, then we might have seen "booth dudes" or something like that, because that's one of the things which attract females. It's not as much sexism as it is "giving people what they are genetically programmed to want".

Well you could make it private and only viewable via a link so the people who don't want to watch it can easily avoid it.

So basically won't trust any opinion other than your own. Kinda funny how you say that people who gain nothing from posting benchmarks and results are biased when the people who are paid to benchmark as a living have a much higher incentive to skew results (bribing etc.)
 
It's painfully obvious from Linus' 1440P benchmarks that anything under 2gb isn't going to cut it for certain games. When the next gen consoles finally launch we are going to see texture resolution go through the roof.

The guru3D review on Metro Last Light did say this. Also, if I remember correctly, SSAA is less demanding on VRAM than MSAA but sacrifices a bit of quality. The game is mostly set on a small enclosed area, where the guru3D review is using, so there are not a lot of textures that would demand more VRAM. I'd love to see a review on the outside areas to see how much different VRAM usage will be.
 
On another guru3D review, this time on Crysis 3, we can see VRAM being an important factor due to the large open area as the setting. 1600p has about 44% more pixels than 1200p and we can see the VRAM usage difference being over 500MB. Now 5760x1080 has about 35% more pixels than 1600p so the 3.8GB VRAM usage of that forum post is possible.
 
In a behind the scenes video of the development of Crysis 3, Sean Tracy, Crytek's Senior Field Applications Engineer stated that in one of the scenes VRAM usage was 2.5GB. That puts the resolution he is doing somewhere between 1200p and 1600p.

Also, if you don't trust reviews done by forum members, then what's the point in joining a forum or even creating one? You can't pick and choose a source based on whether you like their results or not. Unless, there is evidence that counters those results, they are basically fact.

The GTX 780 is like the 3930K.
The GTX Titan is like 3960X/3970X.
 
In both scenarios, there is only a marginal difference in performance between them but the price difference is about 35-50%.
 
I don't see what the fuss is about with the price of the 780 when the 3970X and 3960X had a better welcome.

The price is fair. When I bought my 7970 it cost just as much and it had been out for a good while. While the 780 was just released at the same price and it performs way, way better. I can't possibly understand what there is to complain about.

The price isn't increased for no reason you fool! You get what you pay for.

if you are starting from zero you will do better in a pool (group).

Loving it to death! I've thought about watercooling them, but I'd need a new case to do it right. Their isn't anything I can't run pretty decent on Ultra+ settings.
 
Yes, BUT it is NOT out yet, until it is it is only a rumored price. Nvidia has NOT released a pricing sceme for them, so until they do it is only a best guess. I've checked, he does NOT site a source of this pricing, and it's kinda dumb to put a price out there before release, without a source. Reporting 101. Take a look, before he guessed it would be around $899 USD. Then it went down, then up, then down again. Also his article a day after he lists the price at $599 to $659 USD for the eSports announcement. So yeah, don't trust them. Besides, they broke NDA with Asus, from my understanding.

As a Titan SLI owner I figured I would slide in and say in no way am I disappointed, angry or frustrated about 780 getting the same cooler. I bought mine for the horsepower not to say, hey look at me, I have money, and it's so pretty and special. It's a great cooler design and damn powerful.
I'll be swapping out my wife's cards for the 780's in SLI, though I'll wait for asus and others to put theirs out. Why? We MIGHT (this is only a hope) see 780's with more VRAM along with custome coolers. Just like the 680's had.
I live by the philosophy you get what you pay for, so if the card is proven to be worth x then buy it if you need/want it.

Titans will still be faster though

That is a fallacy. While it is true that in pure processing capability the two 660Ti cards will be faster, they can't use more than 2GB of RAM due to their weak memory bus and as such are quickly beaten to a mush by large resolution gaming. This is exactly the niche the Titan was made to fill, so you can't compare apples to oranges.
Similarly, the 780 will be miles better on it's own in high-res gaming than two 660Tis...
So yeah, for people who play on 1080p-1200p the 2x 660ti setup will be better, at 256x1440 they should be about equal and the higher you go after that the Titan and 780 will just outweigh them with ease.
I see where you're coming from and it's a good point I'll grant you that, but 1440 monitors are getting very inexpensive now and there's no doubt where the market is heading.
And I apologize for not clarifying what I meant the usage scenario would be for a 780 buyer.
