  1. Hello. I am building a new PC in a new Corsair 200R case. The front case fan spins at about 100 rpm while the back at 400 (BIOS screen readings). At first it didn't spin at all, I had to fiddle its cables a bit to reach this 100 rpm, but it still won't go higher than that. My motherboard is a Gigabyte B460M DS3H with the latest BIOS installed (F3). I have Windows 10 Home 64 bit installed (build 19042) Intel i5 10400F processor. Also, it will not make a difference if I switch motherboard connectors. Is there something else am I missing, or do I have a semi-dead fan? Thank you and good day.
  2. Greetings everyone. As the title sais, I want to know more about mobile phones as a consumer, and in particular androids. I have a Samsung (J5 2016) and want to learn as much as possible, from how it works to diagnosing problems, when to upgrade, how to optimise, etc. Are there any youtube videos I can look out for? I prefer people who go in detail and explain stuff thoroughly. LTT (and Carey Holzman) have helped me immensely while I was learning into computers and I am looking for something similar regarding mobile phones. Thank you and have a great day! (English is not my native language so apologies for any mistakes :D)
  3. Greetings. My ISP sais that I am provided with a 50Mbps internet line, but speedtest.net shows a download speed of 4-5 Mbps. The ISP sais it should show close to 50 and that it is their fault and they are trying to fix it since yesterday. I am wondering if somehow I am limiting my speed, for example I am using a Realtek RTL8192CU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB2.0 Network Adapter to connect to my modem. Could that be limiting me? I live in Athens Greece btw. Thank you!
  4. Greetings, I have a Soundblaster Z retail sound card and a Logitech 2.1 speaker system. I do not have headphones. However, the only way to hear sound is to choose the headphones setting at the soundblaster control panel. If I choose speakers, I get no sound. What am I doing "wrong"? Thanks.
  5. I am not sure but I will check. So you are saying that old drivers could cause the HDD to work one day and not the next?
  6. Wouldn't such problems cause it to malfunction constantly? I am saying this because since last night the HDD is working perfectly
  7. Greetings. Brand new Western Digital Black 2TB HDD, 1 month old, filled with Steam games to about 1/4 of it, suddenly could not be detected by BIOS or Windows on Thursday night upon powering on my PC. I shut the PC down, powered it on again on Friday night and the HDD is showing normally with all its games at place. Same thing this morning, it shows up normally as expected. Do I do anything? Is it failing perhaps?
  8. I used US PCPP to show the parts because I know this is the format preferred in here. Also I do not know how else to present the components to reflect my country. Any advice is welcome Also, thank you for the build, it looks very nice. Also, will I be getting a legitimate Windows key form Kinguin? The price difference is quite big.
  9. Greetings. I am planning a new PC build. Link: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wtThr7 (I'll be adding a Samsung Evo SSD from my previous PC) My budget is 500 euro and I am in Greece. This budget is strict and cannot be exceeded. The PC will be used for gaming, e.g. Rocket League, platform games like Ori and the Blind Forest and Shiftlings or Little Nightmares, simulators like Euro Truck Simulator, possibly some ARPG like Grim Dawn, adventures such as Walking Dead, etc. Nothing too heavy. I want to be able to play at 1080p and 60 fps at medium settings at least. I'll be using a single 1080p LG 22MP57VQ monitor that I have already and I don't plan to move to more monitors in the future. I do not need to purchase keyboards/mice/external cd/dvd reader since I have them already too, but I will need to buy an Xbox controller. I will need an OS, preferably Windows 10. PCPartpicker gives a warning of incompatibility: Some Intel H110 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Kaby Lake-S CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions. How do I overcome it? Any other advise about the build is welcome. Thank you!
  10. Once or twice a year at the most I would say
  11. Greetings. Do I need a UPS to protect my home gaming PC? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bjYwXH The only protection I want is against hardware failure (e.g. motherboard destroyed after a sudden power loss), since my parts are expensive (for my income), I do not do any work of value in it so I don't mind losing data. I live in Athens Greece and power cuts are not that often, but can happen. Thanks!
  12. Thank you everyone, you have been very helpful! As always
