Trying to stay with the Nvidia as i have Amd and although it is now old it always had issues as to friends with NVIDEA never had issues

As you can see its been awhile since i upgraded. Trying to stay MSI as peace of mind of it connecting to a MSI motherboard. I know it doesn't really matter but still.

SO im like really struggling on how to set up the permissions as im now reinstalling ubuntu for the 3rd time due to permissions . The steps: Standard install on Jellyfin on the most recent ubuntu desktop build. I created the startup account (bob) and downloaded 2 public domain test videos that now sit on drive 2 called stuff the drive was auto mounted to /media/bob/stuff/ permission denied is all the logs show for trying to access the /media/bob/ and when using the jellyfin add media tool it doesn't list anything beyond /media/bob/ and spits out in the logs that permission is denied. Not posting to reddit as the hard core linux fanboys answer alot with go look up permissions, thats not an answer.

So im getting in to the creation world through the college realm and have found something interesting. Art and programming really favor Nvidia over AMD for everything and as an AMD user I feel left out. Adobe it would seem has code and addons meant for Nvidia for taking work from the CPU and pushing it on the GPU. Unreal and Unity both have addons for Nvidia to speed up development of rendering. 3Ds Max has built in functions only supported by Nvidia. But isn't Nvidia like super picky on their dealings of other companies and isn't AMD all for opensource drivers and support? So why is Nvidia the go to since I would guess the requirements to work with their drivers would be much more time consuming to set up?

So I'm after 11 years upgrading motherboard, CPU, ram, and now going liquid cooling. I currently own a massive Cooler Master storm trooper case and only have the option to mount it to the roof of the case. The thing is that I found out that there is a V2 (Cooler Master storm trooper SE) and this one has an accessory that allows for a water block at the front of the case thanks to a removable mount. Question is: does anyone know of this accessory (front water block mount ) fit in the gen 1 case. I don't feel like wasting money for something I can't use. So from Google it would seem that the V2 went under the radar as few people mention it and most others mention the V2 case when in fact it's the V1 with a plastic window. Any hints or knowledge would be amazing

Right now sister is getting ready for college and I built her a computer that runs a fx Apu and a GPU from 2012ish. Well she is going into 3d design and digital sales art and currently plays Skyrim and this old computer is struggling with Photoshop. So just got a new AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT Processor (4.7 GHz, 8 Cores, Socket AM4) - 100-100000279WOF and a Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX Wi-Fi AM4 Mini-ITX Motherboard And a set of 2x16gb ddr4 So all that is left is a GPU and a think amd Vega 64 8gb sounds great but would this be over kill with a new cpu,MB,and ram boosting performance already. Meaning with all the new parts would the old GPU from 2012 be okay or best to upgrade everything including gpu?

So sister is moving for college and a pc I built her is in need of some air flow. She has a gigabyte Motherboard that is mini itx A CORSAIR HYDRO SERIES H60 AIO Liquid CPU Cooler, 120mm Radiator, 120mm Fan An AMD XFX Radeon RX 570 RX570 Black edition all shoved into a Cooler Master Elite 110. So to begin with the GPU was so long I had to mod the case to accept the long GPU The AIO cooler is in the front of the case And the gpu has the side panel it is meant to go. All and all i feel confident of the case and the setup however the heat the AIO is kicking along with the PSU is just crazy as their is really only the small grill on the back to push air out. Was hoping i could get some help looking for a case as I keep finding either tiny cases with 1 fan and a tiny exhaust, a design that uses the cpu exhaust to cool the psu, or some $150 case that fits small gpus.. Im looking for a cube case that fits a full length gpu, an exhuast out the back, a psu intake that doesn't pull from the cpu exhaust, and maybe a front of case fan? So I currently found out about the IPTV world and wow is it mixed bag. The closest I can compare it to is torrenting as an idea. Websites for best IPTV service providers all say NEED VPN to use, ISP will cancel your connection without one, service might disappear at any point, and pay month to month only. The description of using IPTV services sounds like some one trying to understand how to torrent files. Use a vpn, kilswitches, loopbacks, etc. So in my head I'm understanding it to be legal but in certain situations, and when digging for LEGAL I found normal ISP providers and sling/hulu. So is that it just a different form of ISP based cable tv? The tech sounds awesome for cord cutting but seems like no one actually has legally created much with it except hulu and sling. Am I understanding IPTV in an okay sense cause beyond those 2 and ISPs I can't find any one else who says they are legal.

I have been using wrt1900acs v1 for years but 2 days ago lost wifi due to a bad update and then not being able to access the router causing me to revert to factory.partition. did the on/off/on/off/on/off/ wait/ on and I went back to Factory Linksys and reinstalled the most recent version of this version of openwrt. . No WAN connection at all. Tried a build from january and No WAN, and tried from summer last year and nothing. So im missing a setting and since its a fresh build maybe anyone knows. Tried to ping the modem and got back nothing Tried 192.168.100.1 and got nothing (this address works on linksys firmware) literally fresh build installed and no WAN Modem is an ARRIS Factory linksys works fine with no issues Cable Provider is Spectrum Called spectrum and they had alot of things wrong with my account but they said it was all me. additional things tried after the call cloned mac address of the oem router on the label to wan. made sure that the broadcast box is checked as docsis 3 is something i remember years ago being what spectrum was moving to. made sure the router time was linked to browser Im out of ideas, so maybe others have one? (I will say this is something I did post in their forums, but their forums seem alot more dev and crazy router mods then for the users. This website is very active so yeah, any help is great

New PSU fixed everything, old psu was pushing 10years old new psu works great and yes PG CODE BEING 0 MEANS DEAD PSU (based on other forums) 3 fans seem to be dead as a result of this PSU, 2 spin extra slow no matter the connector and 1 makes a humming noise but no movement, 3 fans were trashed and replaced.

Over nighting a PSU

Don't see any visual issues Motherboard is now on top of an Amazon box. Post code says 88 still No beep from speaker No beep from speaker when CPU fan disconnected. Fans do sound a little off like let's say they are on but I can see them struggling to spin

I've had this computer for about 8 years with gradual you upgrades it would be weird that a screw showed up but still. I'll yank the motherboard out and see if it starts with nothing connected to or around it except the 8pin and 24
