it is pretty bad ... it doesn't really go close to fans but i can see it increasing the temps in case itself

Welp, maybe change it again and dust the cooler, see how your temps are after that.

Cable management doesn't effect temps, have you replaced the thermal paste for the CPU since you built the system?

did you connect both a 8-pin and a 24 pin from the psu to the motherboard?

It may be worth it to rebuild the computer outside the case

yeah the CPU is in the right pin. It's listed pretty clearly above the CPU socket, but that is something to keep in mind.

Welcome all to my first build log!
Being my first foray into the PC world, I was inspired by a lot of fine looking builds (and of course playing games) #pcmasterrace.   I would like to add some custom touches, rather than slapping on parts in a white box. I think the Define R5 would be a nice "canvas" to start. Vision absolutely needs to be tastefully done (no glaring colours, just simple black and white).   Will try my hand on a fully hardline-tubed water-cooled build with symmetry and clean lines in mind.   "Insidious" [in-sid-ee-uh s] stealthily treacherous or deceitful.   So it begins...   Case Fractal Design Define R5 White Custom "XL" Case Window (4.5mm acrylic) Water-jet method cutting   Electronics MSI Z170A Krait Gaming Motherboard Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4 2400MHZ 16GB Kit GALAX GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB HOF Video Card Samsung 850 Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Samsung 850 Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Corsair RM850i 80 Plus Gold Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Darkside Automotive White LED's x4 12cm Corsair Commander Mini White LED Diode Replacement (power button)   Watercooling EK CoolStream PE 360 Triple Radiator EK CoolStream PE 240 Dual Radiator EK ACF 13/19mm Compression Fitting White EK Laing D5 PWM Pump Corsair AF120 Quiet Edition Fans x2 Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition Fans x5 Bitspower CPU Block Summit EF (Intel) Clear Acrylic Top Version Bitspower D5 Mod Top S Clear Model Bitspower Water Tank Z-Multi 100 Limited White Bitspower VG-NGTX980TIGXHOF White Acrylic Top with Stainless Panel (White BP) Bitspower D5 Bracket White Bitspower Deluxe White Enhance 90-Degree Dual Multi-Link Adapter Bitspower Deluxe White Enhance Rotary 90-Degree Multi-Link Adapter Bitspower Rotary Fitting "Q" - 360 Degree Water Cooling Accessory - Deluxe White Finish Bitspower G1/4" Stop Fitting with O-ring - Deluxe White Finish Bitspower Flow Indicator (BP-FI-CLBKWH) - Clear/Black/White Bitspower BP-MVV-DWBK Mini-Valve - Deluxe White With Black Handle Bitspower G1/4" Deluxe White Enhance Multi-Link For Acrylic Tube OD 12MM  Bitspower G1/4" Stop Fitting with O-ring - Deluxe White Finish Bitspower Mini Dual G1/4" High Flow Fitting - Deluxe White Finish Bitspower D5 Adaptor Plate Multi Z Bitspower Aluminium M4 Screws PrimoChill Liquid Utopia Fluid Dye Pack - Black   Miscellaneous CableMod Black/White Full Kit / CableMod Combs Bitspower Cable Sleeving & Bitspower Heatshrink DEMCIflex Define R5 Top Case Filter / PCI Bracket Custom Vinyl Printed Graphics Custom PSU Acrylic Shroud

Build Title: CSLC (Consumer Server Liquid Cooling)
    Thread URL: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/577653-temp-results-custom-loop-in-a-dual-xeon-780ti-dell-2u-server-8k-realtime-render-server/

Description: What makes this project unique, is its one of the very few stock data center servers that has a custom loop squished/attached/installed onto/into it. I pulled my radiator from my last rig, picked up two waterblocks and BAM, my temps are rarely over 30C even under load. Oh did I mention I squished a full graphics card in there? It currently acts as a gaming rig/file server/render server and can real time edit 8k footage by using RAM drives. While the original server (C2100) was 2U, it is now 3U with the modifications. The advantage to liquid cooling in this “case” was it’s very quiet and runs extremely cool for the components that are squished into it.
