  1. A GT 740 is just not gonna make it if you want any kind of decent graphics. GTA V is very nicely optimized and you can definitely run it at "playable" fps with very low settings but that's up to you. A 500W psu is perfectly fine for a decent low-mid range gpu like GTX 1650 or even a 1660ti. Just make sure the psu has some kind of 80+ rating(highly recommended) or atleast isn't from some sketchy brand.
  2. So I own a laptop with a gtx 940mx. Not gaming grade by any means but I usually only play dota 2 soo no big demands. Recently checked some benchmarks and got gta 5. It gives around 40 fps at medium at 768p. The thing is sometimes it gives horrible frames rates like it's running the game on igpu. I can say this because I can clearly notice the dgpu fan not running. I think it's the battery boast feature of 900m cards for saving battery which switches to igpu when not needed (not sure about the feature's name). I tried different scenarios like playing at low battery, full charge, charging connected, discharging, changing default gpus, changing power consumption setting to max performance in nvidia control panel(only tried that and optimal). All of them yield random results :(.... Can someone help me out?
  3. I haven't ordered online as I live in Mumbai I get it locally but these are stores which provide all India shipping. I have been to Primeabgb and Theitware store as they are in Mumbai not to mdcomputers (Kolkata) though. You can check some Indian forums for reviews but I think they are very much reliable
  4. If you stay in any of the major cities (Mumbai Delhi or Bengaluru) then get the parts locally as they are way cheaper. Even if that's not the case don't buy them from Amazon, it's way more expensive that other sites. Try these sites Mdcomputers.in Theitwares.in Primeabgb.com Use pcpartpicker only for checking the compatibility. Don't buy directly from there as amazon.com is the only supplier available.

  6. I am looking for a case for my living room to connect it to my tv. The problem is the shelf where I plan to keep it has 10 inches of length meaning I need a case of depth (front to back)10 inches or less. No restrictions on width or length though. Mini itx will do but no sfx psu (not available here). Doesn't need to be htpc either. A mini itx shallow case with good looks will also do.
  7. I was thinking of either vypr, it's recommended on many sites or hotspot shield coz its popular among android users. You know any other good services for Android. Am from India btw (if that makes any difference)
  8. Hola VPN is a free VPN without ads. I went to their site where I read that it uses yours idle resources for everyone and something called "peer to peer". I have no k knowledge of such things. Can someone tell me what exactly is it and is it safe to use given that it's completely free for non-business uses??
  9. If cost is no issue here is mine http://pcpartpicker.com/p/8y6VdC Don't know if everything is compatible
  10. Ik. As I said Amazon provides nt much in pc hardware section + the available parts r really expensive compared to other sites wich provide IT products only
  11. Hello everyone The budget is around $650 for a full setup gaming build. I will need all the hardware to start it(no software). I live in India and I have done the research for wat will be the dollar rate for computer parts n came up with this budget. Did soo because the Indian pcpartpicker has only Amazon India for now wich is very much useless. Just keep in mind to scrap all MIR or any other promos or offer as just the original price works. I hav made one. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/vDg9qs Plz tell what it is capable of in gaming n if you can build a better one great! I can extend my budget by abt $60 nt more. Except for few monitors n evga n xfx psu everything else is available here.
  12. Consider this one: i5 6500 for Rs 14499 @GolchhaIT MSI H110M-A for Rs 5485 @Mdcomputers Zotac GTX 970 for Rs 24937 @Mdcomputers Kingston hyperx fury 8gb DDR4 2133 for Rs 2485 @snapdeal WD blue 1tb for Rs 3660 @snapdeal Sandisk 120gb SSD for Rs 3099 @snapdeal Corsair carbide 88R for Rs 3400 @Primeabgb LG DVD Burner for Rs 945 @mdcomputers Windows 10 Home 64bit for Rs 8045 @Amazon BenQ VZ2350HM for Rs 10402 @Mdcomputers Seasonic M12II 520W for Rs 4999 @GolchhaIT Total: Rs 81956 Don't know anything abt speakers. Though the monitor has speakers am quite sure they will be horrible.
  13. For eg The i5 6500 costs 14499 @golchhaIT Or the 970 is for just under 25000 @mdcomputers
  14. Am frm India n I would say sites like Amazon Flipkart n Snapdeal aren't best for all parts Check the Mobo n Gpu on mdcomputers.in Check the CPU n psu at golchhaIT Check things like coolers n cases at Primeabgb N for things like hdd ssd ram check Snapdeal n Amazon The core items r too expensive on sites like Amazon etc bt items wich ppl upgrade more often(in India) like hdd or ram will be less expensive on amazon Flipkart Snapdeal etc

I can't get it below 450 though You can get windows for like $20 on kinguwin or reddit...not sure just Google it. The Apu will provide some good graphics until ur 750ti comes
  17. Ok thanx I might squeeze in a 6500. Can u give me some more good psu options?
  18. The DVD drive is handy n abt the monitor will there be like horrible tearing? Coz that one isn't IPS n still expensive
  19. I will be gaming most of the time on this one at 1080p. Want some good frame rates http://pcpartpicker.com/p/4gxPyc Am nt sure abt the psu the wifi card(got no knowledge abt that) and the monitor. I read that there might be screen tearing if the monitor doesn't has freesync. Will the monitor be good? Also I will be starting from nothing ie. I need all the components to get the pc started. Tell if anything necessary is left out.
  20. The i3 is dual core n while it Has HT nt having 4 physical cores can be very limiting in some games. At this price point I recommend a AMD build....ik it has no upgrade path bt if u wanna start gaming immediately u will be better with a quad core cpu. Also u don't need the cooler
  21. U can remove the after market cooler as no overclocking and throw in a 120gb SSD for os and other applications.
  22. I am a student n like having light weight laptop to carry with me. Soo I was looking at some laptops with thunderbolt ports bt the docking stations for thunderbolt are too expensive for me right now(they r really expensive in my country). Soo am thinking of using the mpcie slot for connecting something like a GTX 960 for 1080p gaming on my laptop or the tv. Ik the bandwidth is limiting with a exp gdc bt it's way cheaper. Soo I just wanted to ask does the bottleneck of Gpu is really significant? Is this a good idea keeping in mind it's very low setup cost. Will I be able to play those graphically intense games with good fps? I will consider the thunderbolt setup in future bt for now the total cost is on the wrong side of the budget.
  23. I am a student n would like to hav a light weight laptop to carry with me n when am home I can plug an eGPU and play those graphically intense games on my laptop or TV. Soo I was looking at those eGPU setups and the thunderbolt 3 looks the best one of all bt the docking stations for thunderbolt are too expensive for me right now(they r really expensive in my country)....soo I am thinking of using the mpcie slot(generally where the wifi card goes) to connect the Gpu with exp gdc. It costs abt $50 n while Ik the bandwidth is limiting I found people saying that something like a 960 will be ok with this bandwidth and such Gpus are good for 1080p gaming which is what I am exactly looking for. Soo I want a laptop with 1080p display a good CPU (with integrated graphics as it will reduce the cost) and light weight.....The last one (and the difficult is one) thing is I would love to hav a thunderbolt port in laptop for future use. Budget is $700 for the laptop. Can't be flexible with the budget though Is there any laptop with these features in $700 range??
  24. I don't know is it sensible to post this here bt couldn't find a better place. Anyways I was thinking of pairing a i5 6400 with R9 380 4gb. Since I had some budget left I thought of going for the i5 6500 since there is nt much of a cost difference bt the frequency jumps frm 2.7GHz to 3.2GHz. On doing some research I found that a R9 380 might bottleneck the 6500 n the recommended pair was 6500 and a GTX 970 or R9 390 8gb which was out of my budget. Soo I just wanted to know how to get the best CPU and GPU combination. Are there any thumb rules or pairing charts or anything like that for the latest hardware to help me with the pairing. Thank you :-)
