Hello all, today I was working on a clients computer and did not know how to respond. Their old hard drive was from a prebuilt HP desktop. the computer crapped out but the hard drive is still perfect. We built them a new pc but we are running into an issue where the software they use can't be transferred between systems or work on another computer or be updated to work on windows 10. So we either need a windows 7 boot drive from somewhere and then plug the drive into the new one as a secondary drive or find a way for it to work on windows 10. When the old hard drive is just plugged straight into the new pc it boots up to the Lock Screen but it locks the USB ports from being used

Hello guys, I am a new IT professional but I am running into an issue that I haven't come across yet because im pretty new at this. I have a client that wants a new computer so we built a computer for them. The issue comes with them now wanting a new hard drive and they are not trusting of hard drive flashing software so they want their exact hard drive in the new computer. But I know that a lot of system integrators lock the windows or hard drive to a motherboard so they cannot be used with any other computer. I have to meet with the client later today any ideas or suggestions from you guys. Thank you all so much

Hi all and thanks for the help, this topic may be listed somewhere else but I couldn't find it. Last week I put a 3070 in my computer and installed the necessary driver and all was good, today I put back my old card and now once I boot into windows I get a blue screen always with a different error. When I plug directly into the iGPU I dont get any blue screens. Any advice on what to do. I think it might be something with the 3070 driver but I have no idea

Yea that is way our of our price range they wanted over 10,000k for a non profit event so we would need a different service

Hello everyone I am with a college business class, we are doing a large online talent show. We want it to be pay-per view and streamed somewhere like YouTube. I know that the YouTube pay-per view isn’t easily accessible. Any ideas?

Yea the thing is that would normally be easy but they just save all of the files in random places and will put the directory for every program in different locations so I didn’t know what best practice would be

Then do you know the best way to get all files off should I just copy the program files and documents folder

Hi all, I am working on new computers for a local school and was upgrading all of the machines there when I stumbled across a few that have windows 7 still installed on them. For this project I have just been swapping the old hard drive into the newly built computer but I know that windows 7 oem versions are tied to the motherboard. If I just use the windows 10 upgrader can I switch to a new mobo then with all of the files or do I have to copy everything over and use a whole new copy of windows

My PC turns on and and I see the windows logo and then the the screens turn black but are still detecting that there is an active input

I am working on this Hp Compaq 4000 pro, that they say during a storm stopped working. When i got this back to my workshop i pluged it into a different power cord and now whenever i press down the power button a light on the front panel comes on. any thoughts and suggestions would help me alot

I have an kraken x62 so for all of its controls i use cam. Cam goes through spurts of where it is not finding the cooler, it seems like a pretty common issue. because of this my cpu is idling around 40-50 C. It is normally idling around 30 C

Now it is not posting. After changing the igpu on it booted up normally but now it will not post after another restart
